I bought a 2023 GLA35

Zero stars is still too many.
I bought a 2023 GLA35, what I thought was my dream car. Boy was I wrong.

The experience I have had with the brand new vehicle I bought from Carriage House of New London CT, has been excruciating. 9 month old car has been in their shop for 6 weeks and it took that long for them to figure out the issue. They took that car apart every which way from Sunday and put it back I don’t even know how many times, and now they want me to take the car back and everything is ok? Everything is not ok. I am working with Mercedes USA in an attempt to get my money back because how can a brand new car be in the shop for 6 weeks. Merc USA has the abject worst customer service experience I have ever had. The only good experience I had was buying the thing and that HAD to be good because how else do they get you to buy an overpriced car.
The dealership gives you the option to email everyone that works there, so I emailed the owner about my ongoing (I think this qualifies as a lemon) issue, only to be called my the sales guy; I guess I am not worthy of the owners time. Trying to reach my ERM is like pulling teeth and when I was finally assigned one she told me it would take up to 8 weeks to review. So I get to continue to drive this deathtrap till Mercedes as a cooperation feels that I am worthy of any their attention.
Never ever ever buy a Mercedes. Ever. Anywhere I can post this review, there it will be. I have got nothing but the runaround from this company. The customer service at both the dealership & Mercedes USA has been subpar, and I’m being polite. The absolute worst. All I want is my money back and they will never ever see me again.

Spend 200K USD on a mercedes and got the worst service in my life .. and i am not young. Problem is : mercedes-me application is blocked in israel/usa BY COL MOBIL and mecedes world wide :
in one car it work the other it broke:

High Cost of Ownership

The warranty on a 2020 GLA-250 expired after 3 yrs. Car has 8700 miles. At 3 years and 2 months: Message on screen "cannot put car in reverse". Took it to the dealer. Needed major work in the automatic transmission. Cost to repair $4,700 plus tax. Cost to replace the transmission fluid $77.76 per QUART. Cost of similar at an auto supply store: About $10-15 per quart. I called MB USA Corporate. They "graciously" agreed to reimburse me $150. Dealership (part of Autonation) said they would contact their reps at MB USA. So far, no response. I have owned multiple cars since 1970 (mostly Toyota and Honda). I have not paid $4,700 in TOTAL for mechanical repairs since 1970.

Dishonest and horrible dealership

Pre-ordered a "custom built" midsize SUV from Mercedes' dealer and just got the car 2 weeks ago and already regraded.
First, their dealershipS ARE very dishonest, ordering 2 wheel drive but the car was built as 4 wheel drive but the dealership did not mention it after I drove the car home and one of my neighbors pointed out that I said I ordered a 2 wheel drive but my car is All wheel drive. So I called the sales person and he said there's nothing they can do even if they made mistakes. The settings are not as easy and customizable as BMW and dashcam. The error appears and stops recording every 10-30 minutes and they refused to answer any questions to resolve the matter, also refused to keep what they promised before purchasing. Also I found out Mercedes' dealership won't come or send a valet to pick up and drop off your car when service is needed or issues occur with the car. Why do people pay for luxury not only for the car itself but also for saving time as well. Sounds stupid and felt like I was tricked. Even LEXUS would pick up and drop off your car from your home for any reason. No wonder why BMW sold more cars.

Park Place had the LEMON for 6 months and did nothing

I drove my CPO C300 2020 for barely 6 months before it started taking 4-10 minutes to start. Park Place Dallas had it in their shop for 5 months (I had it a few days before it happened again). Then they moved it to Park Place Fort Worth for a month or so, who finally made a fair deal with me to replace it. Nothing was ever done to fix the car because the computer did not show them what to do!! The service manager in Dallas stupidly kept saying my pressure on the brake was not right. Funny how this never happened in 6 months of loaners or the 5 previous MB I had. It was a LEMON!! Lemon Laws do not apply to CPO cars.I tried to get Mercedes USA to get involved a dozen times. They NEVER called me after they promised they would. I had to take this replacement MB but next time I won't be looking at MB.

Do not take your Mercedes to Park Pace Grapevine Tx owned by The Avondale Group of Dealerships!…

Do not take your Mercedes to Park lace Grapevine for Service. I too my Wifes E 550. convertible with 10,000 miles on it for repair with the disrespectful people at Park Place of Grapevine Owned by Avondale Dealerships ! Our 2012 garage kept and pampered always E 550 convertible we took in to fix the back_ up camera. They suggested oil change etc. I did all that was suggested. Park Palce of Grapevine Tx keprt the car for one month. They parked it outside in 106 degree heat and melted the wood panels ion the dash and door panel trim off the car due to the heat and wanted me to pay for it! So they destroy my perfectly nice wo0d panel interior and tell me I must pay for it! Do not go to Park Place Mercedes Benz Grapevine owned by The Avondale Group of Dealerships unless you are prepared to be treated with disrepect3and charged an extra $3700 for something caused while you car was kept at there Dealership Service Department. I just purchase a GLE580 but it was not from these disrepectful people at Park Place Mercedes Grapevine Tx owned by The Avondale group of Dealerships. By your New Mercedes elsewhere and have it Serviced by a dealership that i s more written an online review in my life. Do not take your Car to Park Place of Grapevine for Service!

I made the huge mistake of switching to…

I made the huge mistake of switching to Mercedes. I have had Lexus, BMW, Infiniti, Nissan, Range Rover - you know it - I have driven it. My first Mercedes and I am ABSOLUTELY disappointed. From the first week I had this car it has been nothing but glitches and issues. The first week I had the car the screen malfunctioned had to bring it in. Several weeks later the ac wasn’t blowing cold air, had to bring it in. Today I had to travel about 1.30 to an important appointment and the check engine light started flashing and the car started misfiring on the highway !! I had to pull over and call Mercedes and they offered to send me a tow but informed me that to tow to a closer dealership to my home WOULD COST ME A FEE!!! Absolutely disgusting my Mercedes absolute embarrassment and disgrace. Terrible customer service. Never any courtesy cars available. I had to pay almost $100 for Uber to get home from the dealership because the “link” they sent me for Uber voucher didn’t even work !! Never have I ever had an issue with any vehicle and for a 2023 Mercedes it is just point blank embarrassing. Can’t wait to get rid of this junk box of a car.

WORSE service in the world

WORSE service in the world. ! I have requested a service at 7:30 to send someone to open my car as I got locked in. I called 5 times, first time they said no one was at home, ( which is a lie), second time someone went there and they canceled it as they said you canceled the job! Which I never did that. Third time they assigned someone to me, which never happened. Fourth time, they assigned a driver but when I called him, he said he never received any task through his app. Fifth time, I just hang in there and nothing happened. and this is MERCEDES BENZ for God sake. So how their app worked properly when they ask for 99$ credit card payment. They are useless.

I've been driving Mercedes Benz since 1983(own 3 at the present), and I must say, I have no clue what happened to the excellent customer service they use to provide? There dealerships in certain parts of the country employ people that has no clue of what they are doing, customer service folks with smart ass mouths and poor skills, cheating customers on parts, and the list goes on and on...I would give the rating a 0, if it was offered... as Benz makes a he'll of a car, too bad the service after the sale is not the same! Do yourself a favor and buy another brand with better service!

Unprofessional and rude!

The service department is very unprofessional and incredibly rude. I came in on Saturday for a repair issues on my a-class 220. As my car was being serviced, Jay from the service department was helping me to get into a new vehicle between him and his colleague/ Supervisor damir were making promises to me about selling me a c-class 300 for one exact price we finally came up with an agreement for an amount i went To the bank took my money out when i got back they tried to get me to leave with a loaner not the same color or nothing i wanted They took my money and deposited into there machine and had me sign paperwork for the car i wanted. Then after having my money in hand they tell me my money has been deposited and they have to see if the bank approves me without a co-signer. I Was told it wasn’t approved due to me not having a go-signer which I’m ok with Now it’s Tuesday and I have spoken with there manger Ali Jones since Saturday, then again this am at 10 am she assured me my check was ready but was waiting 10 to 15 min for a signature it is now 2 pm i called service department they claimed everyone was in a meeting full of lies. Ali jones then picked up the phone screaming at me as I was her child; i told Her do not scream at me, I am A customer. They have lost service with me for good. I rather Go to Nissan, Honda or Acura then dealing with these high maintenance minded Mercedes dealership. ALI JONES Supervisor at Mercedes then proceeded to hang up the phone on me. Do not ever go there these people only care about your money and a damn survey to make them look good. I received correspondence back for there survey though. Only truly nice one there was Jay he shouldn’t be working with those ignorant, high maintenance minded people that only care for your money, what happen to building family at Mercedes, I’m disgusted. This is the Mercedes Benz dealership located at 1800 shore pkway Bklyn ny

Last year I took my vehicle in for…

Last year I took my vehicle in for brake recall, A/C, Radiator Leaking, & Axel compressor tire last year September.We spent $4000 with everything needed to be fixed. But our problem was our A/C this summer act up again, same problem like last time. A/C started blowing hot air and you hear the fan on. We explains this to the VP at that time last year A/C problem then it’s lead to Radiator Leaking and everything was fixed and paid for remember this is last year September so i didn’t need to use the A/C later that year. In the Summer of 2023 this year I turn on my A/C was fine for a week or two. Then the A/C act up again and same thing happened , blowing hot air and we start hearing Fan is on. We went back to the dealership, explained what happened and they did diagnosed without a computer. They mention last time they didn’t touch the A/C and now it’s a horse is leaking to be fixed around $1,200. So we ask the manager did they touch my A/C last time when we brought in with same problem then it’s lead to our Radiator leaking, Zach Manager of Service department mentions No. It’s the same problem last year but the dealership mentions they didn’t touch my A/C but only Radiator. Also I asked Zach did they change my fan on A/C he mentioned “No” but my receipt showed Fan was changed. My question is “why is the same problem happening”, our money is waste with dealerships ripping you off. This is not the first time we spent lots of money in this dealership. We gave our trust to dealerships to fixed our suv and money we spent. Also we didn’t expect that you need to take pictures of your vehicle before you give to the dealership, as we experience of some top around motor was replaced with old ones and my towing hook wasn’t put back( we didn’t notices until now). I will never bring my Vehicle here. They will ripped you off to keep coming back also mechanic will do whatever they wants with replacing stuff around your motor and forget to put back your original. I just hope you guys understand people spend lots of money to fixed their family vehicle and losing trust from your vehicle dealership.

Unreimbursed Factory Extended Warranty Work

A Rotational Speed Sensor failed in our 2017 Sprinter RV causing the vehicle to go into limp mode. As we were traveling in Maine, the ONLY dealership could not get us in for this factory extended warranty work for over 2 months. We found an independent repair shop who did the work for over $500. MB will not reimburse for our out of pocket expense although there were no available MB dealers.

I purchased the EQS 580

I purchased the EQS 580. I am amazed that Merecedes wants to charge $150 per year for their app. After spending that much money for this car and now they want to nickel and dime me basically so i can unlock my doors and if my car is ever stolen i can find it. The fact that they are putting games on the app and selling you that is an absolute joke. Do they want people driving and playing games. Not a smart move. Also when you call up to speak to a manager no one calls you back ever.

Contacted MBofTampa regarding a vibration in the engine of my 2009 E350. Technician stated couldn't verify my complaint but saw other issues that cost me $8000 and I still have vibration in my engine. After informing the dealership of my problem i was told to bring the car back in at what additional cost?

Poor quality product, poor quality service, and expensive repairs

I have been a loyal customer of Mercedes for 25 years and I currently own a 2016 GLE 350. I also purchased an extended warranty for this car which expired sometime in 2022 and the car has just 50,000 miles. All the services have been done at Mercedes dealer. I purchased this car for my wife with the expectation of good reliability and safety but got neither as you can see below.

Feb 2023 - Annual maintenance service done by Steven Creek Mercedes, San Jose (because of poor quality of service there, switch to Fletcher Jones Fremont).
May/June 2023 - Car died in a parking lot late evening. Went to Fletcher Jones Fremont and replaced the battery.
July 2023 - Car had severe vibration and lost power on a freeway. Then again went to Fletcher Jones. This time they said that one of the coil packs failed and they recommended replacing coil packs. They also said front covers are leaking and recommended reseal. The total cost for both repairs was about $3100. Question here - I took the car for service 2 times before this year, how come no one mentioned the oil leak?
As you can see, this has become a serious reliability and safety issue for my wife in addition to dealing with these expensive repairs. I then called the MB customer advocacy for help to cover the repair costs and below is sequence of events:
July 14 - Called advocacy group and case 2-42008567917 was created and they told the dealer not to start the repair until they process the case.
June 18 - James called me and took issue details from me. I called/emailed a few times after but he never responded to give me an update until late July 21st.
June 21 - After repeated calls that day, he finally calls late evening and offers me $250. I waited a week without the car and with so much frustration and suffering, that offer was disrespectful and insulting.
June 24 - It has been 10 days since my car was sitting at the dealer and I asked them to repair it.
Is this what you would expect from a world class company in terms of product quality and customer service? The guy (James) was sitting on this case not doing anything and not responding, and finally he came back showing his authority. He took advantage of my desperate situation and instead of helping me he tried to punish me. He needs serious training or shouldn't be working in a world class company. I asked this case to be escalated higher up and they refused to do so.

I sincerely hope that someone reads this message and takes action to fix the issue.
