These guys leave you paying for their mistakes.
I have a 7 year old Maytag washer that had a part that failed. I ordered from Amazon and the part worked for a couple of loads then failed differently than the original. Since clothes were piling up, I avoided an Amazon replacement and ordered from maytagreplacemetnparts.com at 3x the price and chose overnight service.
When it did arrive *a day late*, the *wrong* part arrived. There are 2 different shift actuators for Maytag washers, one with 7 pins on a wide plug and one with 4 pins on a narrow. I got the narrow, but needed the wide.
I contacted the vendor and they did respond a day later. The guy was argumentative and told me I ordered the wrong part number. The website probably has a way to order with a part number, but I ordered, as suggested, with the Maytag model number written on the washer. The system sent me the wrong part, regardless of part number.
The guy asked for my model and serial number which I gave him, and he responded with the picture of the part that his website showed for the info entered. The picture was of the *same part he sent* with the narrow plug. The caption with the picture says that the part may not look the same as it has been changed.
Through this, he continued to suggest that he would refund my money in time, if the part had not been used or abused. Refused to pay for the $21 shipping, or the $11 to ship his mistake back to him.
All I got out of this is a frustrated wife. This is the best argument for using Amazon. It would have been taken back immediately without question and a replacement part would have been sent immediately.
