At Mates Rates Horse Transport, we believe that moving horses should never be about simply getting from A to B - it should be about welfare, trust, and connection every step of the way. Based in Sussex, we provide local, national and international transport, supporting horses and their owners through everything from short, routine trips to longer or more complex journeys. No matter the distance, our approach remains the same: calm, patient and entirely horse-led. What makes us unique is the time and care we invest into every horse we meet. We don’t rush loading, we don’t push horses beyond what they’re coping with, and we pride ourselves on reading their behaviour and responding in a way that builds confidence rather than pressure. Whether we’re transporting a seasoned competition horse, a young or anxious traveller, or a much-loved companion pony, their emotional and physical wellbeing is always our first priority. As a small, welfare-focused business, relationships matter to us - with both horses and humans. Our clients know that when they book with us, they’re getting more than a transport slot; they’re getting a team who genuinely cares, communicates clearly, and treats every journey with the respect it deserves. Our modern, spacious lorries are designed with comfort and safety in mind, and we keep owners updated throughout the journey for peace of mind. We are proud to offer transport that puts horses first - always - whether it’s around the corner, across the country, or over the border.Mehr ansehen
