My experience with Mandarina shoes has been thoroughly disappointing. The shoes may look attractive when new, but the pairs I purchased felt cheaply constructed, relied heavily on glued components and quickly lost their shape. Much of the material appeared to be synthetic and did not withstand normal wear.
Most seriously, the heel fell off one pair the very first time I wore them. Despite advertising what was presented as a “no-quibble” policy, Mandarina refused either to repair or replace the clearly defective shoes. Instead, I was told to take them to a shoe repairer at my own expense.
A heel detaching on the first wear is not ordinary wear and tear; it is a fundamental failure of the product. A reputable retailer should have accepted responsibility and provided an appropriate remedy promptly. In my experience, the company’s response bore no resemblance to a meaningful “no-quibble” guarantee.
Based on the poor construction, lack of durability and refusal to resolve an obvious fault, I cannot recommend Mandarina shoes. They proved to be a false economy and the after-sales service was wholly unacceptable.
