Not sure who to blame...
I have always sang the praises of Maine Lobster Now. Their product was always on time and fresh. You pay for what you get. But when they lose your order not once, but twice, I lose faith in the company. My order never arrived Saturday, June 1, 2024. I had to cancel my party because when you promise lobster you cannot treat your guests to hamburger. Because I was supposed to get it on Saturday, I had to wait until Monday to find out what the problem was. I spoke with Melanie or Melody on Monday and was assured that the problem was soley on the shoulders of FedEx. I asked that the order be reshipped so that I would receive it today, Tuesday, 6/4/2024. Mistakes happen. I usually get an email with a tracking number. I did no get the email so I called this morning and spoke to Charlie. Well, it seems that the Friday shipping mistake was on Maine LObster Now. I told Charlie that Melanie/Melody told me that the fault was on FedEx. He replied that she must have better information than what he had. This time, was the fault of FedEx and they have the package and they tried to track it. Ultimately, I have no lobster and I have been forced to cancel once again. And that is unacceptable. They cannot make this right.

This is a wonderful building and an amazing array of staff. I was here for an event and it was perfect with separate gorgeous bat, as I'm sure you'll agree. And a large room space. Very close to Knightsbridge Station so in a wonderful location. Food for canapés was lovely. The upstairs is ideal for special occasions and events.

I've been ordering for years and got nervous when I read the recent reviews. My Christmas eve lobster tails were amazing. The only issue I noticed was that the shrimp were farm raised in Vietnam so I was skeptical but they were delicious.
Dishonest Business -- Do not use
This company is extremely dishonest and not deserving of your business. They overcharged my credit card after falsely advertising their pricing and refused to make it right. Of course I found out after they have an 'F' rating from the Better Business Bureau and now I know why. I wish I had checked that beforehand. Stay away.

This company is trash!!!! Read reviews from BBB and yelp. They are literally a 1-2 star rated company.
My daughter gave me a gift certificate for my birthday. I ordered two lobsters and one arrived dead. The tail from one of them came completely apart after cooking and was disintegrated in the shell. The company refused to remedy the situation because I contacted them outside of their 4-hour window. I notified them as soon as I cooked the lobster and saw how the meat looked.
Don’t do business with them when there are so many other businesses you can choose from.
The pics are from the 3 pound lobster that I ordered. It was $75! I expected more than a dead and spoiled crumbling tail from a $75 lobster.

Total scam business! Spend your hard earned money elsewhere, somewhere that’s more reputable and honest! I spent almost $180 for 9 lbs of Dungeness crab legs, and got 3 complete clusters out of the whole 9 pounds—the rest were broken badly, or just some little individual leg scraps that were broken off! I was offered nothing but 1 poor excuse after another about how it “could” have happened during the shipping process, even though, the shipping and packaging were the ONLY things that were actually acceptable! Save your money instead of wasting it at this place!

Bottom line is food came overnight. The next day everyone was sick. Ordering from this place was already a nightmare. I was very lucky to see a strange number and listen to the recording, say they are holding my order until I verify I'm real. This pissed me the hell off. They charged my card and held up my food. Then I got some tainted crap delivered. Clams were broken. It was to much. But I made it work. I will never order from these people again.

I ordered crab meat and was sent crab claws. I called the the customer service number three times and have been disconnected each time. I am beginning to believe that The Maine Lobster house is very dishonest with their practices. Still waiting for a call back.

Great Seafood!
I ordered the little neck clams, lobster rolls, lobster bisque soup, and a couple of whoopie pies. The shipment was delivered when requested and everything was there. The steamers (little neck clams) were soooo good! Steamed, shucked, dipped in the cooking broth, then in butter - melted in our mouths! (The broth was great for sipping as well!) The soup had chunks of lobster in it and was plenty for two people. I overloaded the lobster rolls and ended up with four (two for each of us). Used the mayo and butter that came with my order (along with chips, which was a nice surprise!). They tasted so fresh! I love lobster and this is some of the best I've had. The whoopie pies were just a little something extra I wanted to have. Although one could have been shared, we each ate our own! I will be ordering from Maine Lobster Now again.
Was so looking forward to this meal only to be seriously disappointed
Ordered this directly from the company website for Valentines Day. Unfortunately, the only thing good I can say about this product is that the shipping was on time.
This was a colossal waste of money. It comes with 6 bags of chip (thrown in the bottom of the box and all smashed), 6 rolls, a stick of butter and a jar of mayonnaise. I ordered an extra pound of butter and lobster meat, along with some Whoopie Pies (which were okay). It was a good thing I ordered the extra meat or there wouldn't have been enough for everyone to have a sandwich. For a good lobster roll sandwich, you should have 1/4 pound lobster meat in the bun. Obviously with only a pound of meat for 6 buns, that was not going to happen.
The meat was also over cooked and "fishy" tasting. Some of the meat was so rubbery that my older family members, with, dentures, couldn't even chew the pieces up. I love lobster and have had good lobster rolls before...these were NOT good and truly warrant 0 stars. This "meal" cost me almost $200 and it really was bad.

ZERO stars...DON'T BUY ANYTHING from this lousy company! Order was supposed to be delivered the 20th Fed Ex didn't deliver it until the 23rd and it arrived totally defrosted and ruined my surprise Xmas dinner for my friends. My friend sent pics of the totally defrosted shipment when it arrived on her porch. The company wrote back that the address I put in was invalid and they could do nothing. Hmmm...HOW did it get to the CORRECT shipping address that I put in then?? This company needs to be under investigation.. My lawyer will press charges, the Better Business Bureau will be notified etc. This company can't get away with treating customers this way! They need to be held accountable! Oh, and I tried to get them on the phone and many times was put on hold from 40min to an hour....never got through. DON'T buy from them! Saying invalid address doesn't fly when it went to the correct address!!

Order# MLN-420115 Ordered on Nov. 27 2022. To be delivered on Dec 23 2022. I received no notice of my order being shipped. I called on the 23rd to confirm my order was on it's way waited on hold for over an hour only to finally be told by customer svc. that our delivery date had been changed to Dec. 29th. I received no notice of this mess until I reached out to you. So there we were with friends coming at 6 P.M.
and no seafood. Refused my Dec. delivery date and asked for a refund. First and last experience with these people

Super disappointed!! Ordered 8 lbs of lobster tail meat for Christmas Day dinner. A family tradition. Thought I would give this place a try. Ordered on November 25, 2022 for December 23, 2022 delivery.
As others have said, never received shipping confirmation on 12/23/22 and repeatedly reached out to customer service. When I logged into the website and looked up my order number, it was listed as “ready for packing”?? I had paid extra for it to arrive on Friday the 23rd of the holiday week. If the blizzard was the issue than send out a message to your customers letting them know the issues and figure out a way to make it right with them.
We, as well, are now scrambling to find an alternative meal for our special family dinner.
Apparently the customers don't matter. Will we ever receive the order??

So disappointed! Ordered four lobsters on 12/15/22 for 12/24/22 delivery. Never received shipping confirmation on 12/23/22 and repeatedly reached out to customer service. When I logged into their website and looked up my order number, it was listed as “ready for packing” meaning nothing was shipped. We are now scrambling Christmas Eve to gather alternate ingredients for our special family dinner.
Based on reviews I found after ordering, I’m dreading the process of getting a refund.
UPDATE: I was able to get a hold of customer service, and my refund/credit has been received.
Poor customer service
My order was supposed to be "overnight" delivery as they claim on their website. next day i see it was being delayed. i contacted them and they said they can't guarantee overnight. then why advertise it? overnight means you get it the next day. i saw that the shipping label was 8lbs, but then when it was in FedEx's hands in the delay mode, it was changed to 10 lbs. My guess is that they didn't put the correct weight on the label and that caused the delay. they said all orders have shipping protection, but i've emailed several times for my refund. i'll be contacting my credit card company to protest the charge.

Horrible!! Ordered weeks in advance for our daughter’s 30th birthday party; and then unilaterally cancelled right before Xmas making it impossible to order elsewhere. Falsely claimed FedEx snow delays but FedEx said not true, storm not until Friday! Days from now. Will never order from again. Totally unreliable.
Unresponsive customer service
Unresponsive customer service. Waited on hold TWICE for about an hour each time to cancel an order that was delayed 1 week. both times I was placed on hold again the disconnected. Must be their business model to resist all attempts to refund a credit card once they have charged it.

If I could give it ZERO stars I would. I was hosting Thanksgiving and served the snow crab cocktail - it was BAD. It was so bad that no one would eat it. It's now been a week going in circles with customer service and they will not refund my money. I asked a manager to call me, and I have received no call back. I've called them numerous times, only to get the run around each time. AVOID this place and order from somewhere else. HORRILE seafood and worse customer service!
