Superb, friendly service
Cracked the screen on my iPad and searched on google for a company in my local area. Mac genie came up with good reviews so I dropped the iPad off with them the morning, I was very surprised and delighted to get a call at 2pm notifying me that it has been fixed and ready for me to collect. Theo was very efficient and polite and I would highly recommend them.

Warning About Fake Review Scam Targeting Businesses
After investigating this reviewer, we’ve uncovered a scam involving this individual who contacts businesses offering to post fake reviews in exchange for payment. His activity is blatantly obvious upon reviewing his profile history and other businesses that he has left revenge reviewed and they have confirmed that he is not a legitimate customer and that all of their negative reviews started after they dismissed his offers to sell them fake reviews.
The user has changed their profile name and country location multiple times, likely due to numerous flagged reviews. Businesses that have paid him receive poorly written, generic positive reviews.
Businesses that refuse or confront him (as we did) are punished with negative “revenge” reviews.
He even admits in one of his own reviews (still live on the platform) that he has been paid to write fake feedback. Despite multiple businesses including ourselves reporting this to Trustpilot, nothing has been done. Several of his reviews clearly violate Trustpilot’s guidelines, yet they remain online. Trustpilot’s customer support has been unresponsive, and unless you pay Trustpilot they refuse to address the issue so unfortunately it seems their platform allows bad actors like this to operate freely, as long as it drives traffic or makes them money.
We’re speaking out not only to protect our reputation but to warn fellow businesses to be on the lookout for this individual and others like him. When you receive emails form the usual gmail generated accounts offering to post reviews for you, please delete the email and whatever you do dont reply, because when you do it will result In a spite review against you! Which will remain live even if it is a false accusation, the best thing you can do is not engage with him as arguing with him will make you a target. We strongly encourage Trustpilot to take this issue more seriously and implement better safeguards against abuse, but we won't be holding our breath. Considering Trustpilot recently being under investigation and in the news about Trustpilots unethical, rouge, mafia like behaviuor we can almost understand why they not doing anything about the problem as Trustpilot is a con and the worst thing you can do for your business.

Theo certainly knew his stuff . Before starting to fix the issue with my iMac he gave me pros and cons of doing the work and set out the potential causes that may be identified by his diagnosis . This was reassuring and he was very effective at managing my expectations . As it turned out the hard drive needed replacing - I was very happy with the professional service received .
