11k for a roof March 2023. All was well untill found a leak into loft around the chimney stack. Called lomond and within couple weeks team out to repair. All good !!!. Couple weeks later on checking so called fix, roof still leaking. Called again, once again team out apply fix number 2. All good!!!. Upon checking for a 3rd time notice water still getting in around chimney. April 2024 called again, no answer, repeat calls and numerous emails. Now June 2024, numerous email including notice of us contacting solicitor and yet again no answer. Joke of a company. Man up, fix your mistakes. ADVISE OTHERS TO STAY AWAY,

Absolute scam artists. The "owner" declan thinks he's a wee ticket, cheeky down the phone when you no longer want their service as its massively overpriced. Don't invite them in unless you want over an hour for a presentation about roofs. Pressure sales tactics, "this is the best price today it'll be more expensive tomorrow" patter like you'll get a discount if you work for the emergency services etc. AVOID.

Please do not go near this company. They talk a big game at the start, do not fall for it!

We got our roof done in October cost us over £11,000. Our old roof never had a leak and our new one does. It gets worse however.

We were passed to the “remedial team” this is an after sales team who deal with any issues. Took weeks to get a reply we eventually get them to come out on two occasions, after threatening legal action, both of which have had no impact on repairing the leak.

We have been in contact with a Steven. He has now rosetted to reading and ignoring my messages and refusing to answer my calls.

We now have no other option but to seek legal action. This will cost thousands no doubt. The leak has came through to our bedroom completely ruing a wall.

We have a newborn baby and a child with autism which they know and do not care about.

There is so much more to write about but it would take all day. Please just stay away from this company what was meant to be a new roof has turned into 4 months of absolute nightmare with no end sight.

I am writing this complaint to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the services provided by Lomond Improvements to save you all from going through the same, as they have fallen significantly short of the guarantee they claim to uphold on their work. My entire experience with Lomond Improvements has been marred by false promises, lack of communication, and a complete failure to rectify errors in their work. Please take this as a waning and DO NOT contract Lomond Improvements to conduct ANY work on your property.

To provide context, I engaged in their services after a salesperson visited my property and advised that urgent repair was required to my roof. Although the roof did need repair, it became apparent that the evaluation was more focused on upselling additional work than accurately assessing the necessary repairs. The subsequent work undertaken not only failed to address the existing issues but actually exacerbated the situation, leaving my roof in a worse condition than before and I now have damp inside my property, which they have shown no care or compassion over.



As soon as I noticed this damp, I contacted the company and, on multiple occasions, they scheduled appointments for a member of their team to visit my property and evaluate the damage caused by their previous work. But shockingly, the representatives failed to show up on multiple occasions, and without any prior notification or explanation. This lack of professionalism and disregard for customer time and property is unacceptable.

I am deeply disappointed by the lack of accountability and responsibility demonstrated by Lomond Improvements . It is disheartening to see such a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and a failure to honor the commitments made. The work has a guarantee, which is not being fulfilled.

As a paying customer, I expected a level of service that aligns with the standards Lomond Improvements claims to uphold. Unfortunately, my experience has been riddled with unfulfilled guarantees, false promises, and an overall lack of professionalism.

I requested an immediate investigation into this matter, and as above, was let down on multiple occasions.

I hope that this complaint serves as a catalyst for positive change within the company and that steps are taken to rectify the shortcomings in their services.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Roof replaced, leaked after few months, they apparently repaired, leaked again 2 days later, refused to fix, tried to sell us other work'off the books'. Changed registered business address cannot send court papers as is storage facility.

The only thing this company has going for them is a good salesman.
Had our roof replaces less than 4 years ago and have just been informed the entire thing needs redoing due to poor workmanship and incorrect installation.
Refuse to reply to emails or answer the phone

Do NOT use this company, hardsell for full roof replacement when probably a few slipped tiles, workmen unreliable, unsafe, untidy. Work carried unsatisfactory. We had delays in startng project were told 5 to 10 days work to do, took 5.5 weeks and still not right after that time. We have gaps in our roof, birds nesting last year in them , water ingressing down internal walls, broken gutters, when an " independant" surveyor ( turns out he works for the company) they said all ok and small cosmetic issues only. Had our own report done at more expense and roof should never have been changed to tile ( this was sold to us for energy efficiency) workmanship poor not to standard.

I’m so grateful that I’m not the only one that’s experienced such poor service from this company. We had our roof fitted in 2021. we tried to call them out as winter set in in 2021/2022 with no reply to any of our phone calls or emails then again the this year we have experienced the same problems.
We have two bedrooms ceiling half hanging down due to the bad weather this week. I finally got my phone call answered today and the owner was shocking, the way he talked to me was so disrespectful and his told me to go though my house insurance instead of them getting a bill. I’m left getting another roofer out to fix the problem when by getting a whole new roof I thought the roof would be something that I didn’t have to worry about for a good while but I’m still left paying for the roof as it was never correctly installed, Also I would like to add if you are looking at going with this company please please look at your interest this was never pointed out to me and it’s double the amount I’m paying for the roof it’s self.
To say I’m down hearted with the response of this company is an understatement. I’m shocked and upset and feel totally ripped off.
At the moment the company is trying to get this took down, I’ve sent the proof that I’m a customer of there’s but his trying to make out I’m a fake person, very disappointed but don’t expect anything less from them as there not showing they are a decent company.

The most awful company!! Would never usually come on and write reviews on anything but awareness is needed due to this experience.
1) took deposit for roof and then completely “forgot about it”
2) kept pushing the project back (they were meant to do it in August but it’s only just been done now in December)
3) lied continuously through their back teeth about everything they possibly could
4) when confront by my grandfather over the phone (he’s high up in construction and was knowledgable enough to realise they were being dodgy) he was threatened on 3 different occasions with multiple witnesses to the conversations.
5) they tried to bring a skip out to the front of the house before the permit date and attempted to deliver supplies that wasn’t communicated beforehand so there was no one to actually do anything with them (fixing the roof ourselves are we?)
6) I could easily bore you with the million other things that have happened in the past couple of months but the bottom line is whatever you do PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE

Absolutely appauling business. Avoid at all costs.
I had the misfortune of being taken in by their very convincing salesman - probably the only part that well done from this job. The project manager had shocking communication skills - jobs were cancelled without informing me, people were trying to deliver things for the cancelled jobs etc. The project was delayed numerous times (I was told it would be pushed back 24 hours for a week straight. They were finishing another job that they promised would be finished the next day, then the next and so on. I soon found out why...). The roofers were openly smoking cannabis on and around my property, they damaged my garden fence, left debris everywhere, didn't attempt to clean up and took 7 days for a job that they said would take 3. I loged a complaint with Lomond about all of this which they have competely ignored. There is a lot more to say about their unprofessionalism and poor service. For your own sake - avoid this company.

We are very disappointed, we have contacted them 2 times now as one of our tiles is hanging on and is close to falling off any second and we are very worried for the safety of our surroundings. Very bad experience, I really don't recommend this company

Please don't ever use this company for any work, they are liars for a start, claim they make their own windows and doors, Caledonian actually do, then if you have any issues they will promise someone will call you back and they never do, then when you persist contacting thm them they will then have the cheek to want you to pay for someone to come out to look at the issues, avoid at all costs

Worst roofing company ever!!!
1) The promised timelines when the job was done was delayed by several months
2) Roofing job the first time was done with very bad quality so everything needed to be redone. I have a person with a mental disability at home and due to a job needing to be redone it heavily affected the person's mental health.
3) The most important complaint is about old roofing tiles which still!!! (1 year) haven't been collected. Neighbors have started to complain because they are outside our garden and are affecting areas where kids run around and play. We have been told that they will reach out to the council. Also when the roof was refixed wire from the roof was detached and it still hasn't been fixed back. I have proof of several messages and calls which I have sent for several months and nothing has been done.
4) Furthermore, the garden was left full of big screws and other dangerous materials and my 6 year old son has already hurted him.

Customer service is horrible!!!

Cold called my elderly grandparents took a deposit of £1770 for work on their property there and then (September 2021) .. told work would start in 3-4 weeks. 5 months later had no communication of when work due to be started. Contacted company find out what was happening couldn't give a date for work to start. Very rude customer service manner very patronising, asked to cancel work, Lomond improvements refused to give deposit back but willing to give back £500 of it? Refused to give break down of costs occurred since paying the deposit .. no one had visited the property and no work was started on property. Long story short still never received even the £500 contacted several times via email and phone with no success (November 2023) .. so they stole £1770 from an elderly couple. Would you want work carried out by these cowboys? STAY CLEAR

Roof fitted a year ago. Recent storm and roof leaking in 2 places. Multiple phonecalls and messages left, emails sent and facebook messages. Have never been able to speak to anyone as everything has been ignored and no one answers the phone at the glasgow or dundee phone numbers. Avoid at all costs!!!

13 thousand for a new roof and gutters. They forgot to fit the gutters! Came back and done a complete shambles of a job on the gutters, had them back to fix them twice and still waiting on them to try and fix them for a third time. More leaks from the gutters than before with the old ones. Left an insane amount of nails everywhere which ended up puncturing my partners tyre.100 percent regret using.

Quality of materials and friendly roofers. Lindsay at reception was exceptionally pleasant and helpful.
However disappointed in the delay in removing the scaffolding and skip
Work completed on 16 September and to date a large amount of scaffolding and waste materials still to be removed from our front garden and driveway. We are very disappointed with the after work experience with this company.

We paid this company over £9,000 + to have a new roof done. The scaffolding was up for ages before work started and was there for weeks after job done. Also damaged slabs and items in garden.was given £50 to replace broken items. The roofers did a great job, or so I thought at the time but we had dreadful rain a few months after the roof was done and it led to loads of water coming through our roof , through the loft floor and damaged our landing ceiling..Got in touch with company and their first reaction was to repair the damage which caused the leak. So far so good but the bill to fix our ceiling was £300. You would think it was £3,000 to hear them. They thought they were being “ fair “ by only agreeing to pay £200 so we are out of pocket because of their company. When I first got in touch about the damage caused by scaffolders, I thought I was dealing with a decent company but we have been proved wrong. Disgraceful. Avoid them at all costs.

After 18 months noticed watermarks on ceiling on checking inside of roof saw it was leaking and probably had been for a while ( only a small area ) Contacted the company told us that they will pass it on to their remedial team. Never heard from them. Found out they do not have a remedial team and that they use sub contractors . Also Guarantee does not count for anything

A wonderful experience from the very first knock on the door to the final installation and inspection - All staff members very friendly and helpful, Lyndsay, Michelle, Shaun, Stevie, Tom and all the guys who completed the works, my roughcasting looks fantastic, very pleased with the end result.
