I began my studies with LiveLingua in November, and I couldn't be happier. Great way to develop your language learning.

I have been using LiveLingua for a around 6 weeks now, and my Spanish has developed a lot during that time. It is a great way to understand the grammar rules behind the language which makes it easier to interpret sentences, even if you don’t necessarily understand the individual words.

The teachers are very friendly, and LiveLingua allow you to select different teachers if you have a preference on teaching style. I actually use two teachers with quite different teaching styles as I feel this gives a good balance for me. They will even give you homework if you ask which is good for consolidating what you are learning.

Overall I would recommend LiveLingua to anyone looking to learn another language.

The individualized lessons meant I was progressing at the pace that was right for me. The combination of in-class verbal exercises and casual conversation, along with the assigned written homework provided a varied learning experience and kept things from becoming repetitive.

I have been very pleased with my experience learning Spanish in a 1/1 environment with Live Lingua. My Live Lingua customer ID is 36027 and now have about 20 hours of 1/1 instruction from two very good instructors. My instructors are well educated native Spanish teachers and they are really focused on discovering how I learn and challenging me to learn by speaking Spanish in each class. As seasoned language instructors, both schooled in Mexico, they have a plan to grow my Spanish language skills and they do not hesitate to provide good feedback on sentence structure and pronunciation. The 1 hour classes start on time and before you know it, the hour is over. With 1/1 instruction you have the opportunity to ask real life questions and focus on topics that are important to you. This has been an ideal language learning experience for me.

My instructor, Miguel, has not only been patient, but he continues to challenge me which not only makes our sessions stimulating, but productive. He tailored his teaching style to my level of Spanish along with my overall goals, and if I ever feel too challenged, he takes a step back. Live Lingua is extremely efficient. We either set up Zoom calls or a link is sent directly from Live Lingua that my instructor and I use to connect. I schedule my classes in advance, but if I have a busy week, I'll only schedule one at a time. You can easily view your instructor's availability and book a class that works for you. I haven't used other tutoring services, but I would be shocked if any other service compares to this one.

Having a live and interactive video experience with a real person is the next best thing to being in person. Being able to see the body language of the person you are speaking with, the inflection, their eyes, the way their mouth moves when pronouncing certain words; all of this is immensely helpful in learning. In addition, the ability to ask questions about the things I struggle with and get hung up on is of great advantage and something you can't do with an app. I have and continue to use an app as a way of being able to learn on the go but it is not anywhere near as effective as conversational learning. I am very excited about the progress I am making and I know that soon I will be in a place where I can confidently enter any conversation in Spanish.
