Our consultant Robin Smithhas been brilliant. He secured our utilities at very competitive rates . He guided us through the whole process. Highly recommended.

I received a call from a man who gave his name as David, representing LightingLiveConsultants Ltd, offering business energy rates. Within a short time, four other energy companies also phoned me, but none came close to David's prices. He then told me that if his company could get me those prices, I should take it, and that he didn't know how they'd done it but "well done". The combination felt staged, so I became suspicious and checked with other companies. I ended up signing a contract with British Gas Business instead.

When David called back at 1:30pm, I told him I had signed with British Gas. He became very upset, sounded close to tears, and said it was "very, very unfair". A few minutes later I got another call from their office number. When I asked the caller's name, he said he was also David, though it was clearly a different person. He asked whether I had signed with British Gas at 38p. I said yes and ended the call.

The company is registered in the UK, but every caller I spoke to appeared to be based overseas. The approach felt like pressure, and the urgency around signing a 2 or 3 year contract felt manufactured. I asked to be removed from their database and to receive no further contact, but the calls continued.

I've blocked them on WhatsApp and will be raising this with the relevant regulators. I'd advise anyone approached by this company to take your time, get quotes directly from suppliers, and never let a caller rush you into a multi-year contract.

I will give your office a call to day, and provide details so no further contact can be made. Again WhatsApp you have been blocked and reported on.

Emily was very helpful and listened when I said not to keep calling and I would make contact when I was ready. We were receiving in excess of 10 calls per day during our renewal period with some nasty people calling. Once I was ready to sort out the renewal Emily came back quickly with very competitive prices and we got the new contracts in place within a couple of days. Thank you Emily

Seem to have ignored my Subject Access Request

Edit: Lightinglives has since responded but did not include my SAR until I asked for this again. In the first email they asked me to remove my review.

It came to light that my personal phone number was included in data acquired by Lightinglives and was marked as being on the Telephone Preference Service. I still received a marketing call to my personal phone number and found this was not a pleasant call. It felt my concerns on this call about this use of my personal data were minimised. I have been told use of my personal number was human error and was again asked to remove or update my review. Following a further email, I was asked for a third time to reconsider and remove my review.

I'm afraid I have not found this to be a positive experience and have felt the impact of my personal data being used inappropriately has taken a backseat to Lightinglives concern about me leaving an honest review of my experience.

Garry was great at finding me an awesome deal, it saved me hundreds of pounds. Cheers
