WARNING – LIBERTY GLOBAL IS A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE DISGUISED AS A TELECOM GIANT

All information in this review is publicly available or archived on the Wayback Machine. I am a protected whistleblower under PIDA 1998. I have spent two years documenting Liberty Global's systematic abuse of power, fraud, and regulatory evasion. This is not a series of mistakes. This is a deliberate pattern of corporate criminality. Liberty Global is not a telecom company. It is a surveillance state in corporate form. Everything below is public. Everything below is verifiable.THE POSTAL DROP – 120 KING'S ROAD Liberty Global's registered address is 120 King's Road, London, SW3 4TR. This is not a corporate headquarters. This is a postal drop above a shop. The same address is used by multiple Liberty Global entities: Liberty Global Holdings Limited, Liberty Global Technology Limited, Liberty Global Capital Limited, Liberty Global Europe Limited, and Liberty Blume Limited. Multiple entities, all registered at the same address, all designed to obscure ownership and evade accountability. This is a shell company network designed to hide the truth. If you are fighting Liberty Global, you are fighting a web of shells designed to make it impossible to hold anyone accountable.THE UNREGULATED LEGAL SCAM – LIBERTY BLUME
Liberty Blume Limited is NOT regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). The SRA register explicitly states: "We do not regulate this organisation" and "Not regulated by an approved regulator for legal services." They are not authorised to conduct litigation. They are not authorised to give legal advice. They are not authorised to represent anyone in court. Yet they do all three. Conducting litigation without authorisation is a criminal offence under the Legal Services Act 2007. Despite this, Liberty Blume files defences in court, operates a debt recovery department, and recruits solicitors specifically for "debt recovery" and "consumer litigation." This is not a law firm. This is a debt enforcement machine disguised as legal services. The SRA closed my complaint without asking a single question. They are not regulators. They are protectors of the profession.THE £66 MILLION FRAUD CONNECTION – AXIOM INCE
A solicitor who worked at Liberty Blume previously worked at Plexus Legal LLP. Plexus Legal was bought by Axiom Ince Ltd in July 2023. Axiom Ince collapsed in October 2023 with £66 million in missing client money. The Serious Fraud Office launched a criminal investigation. Five individuals have been charged with fraud, forgery, and destruction of documents. Liberty Global is not just unregulated. It is connected to one of the biggest legal frauds in UK history.THE GOOGLE SURVEILLANCE PARTNERSHIP – MONETISING YOUR DATA On 3 February 2026, Liberty Global announced a five-year strategic partnership with Google Cloud to embed AI across its European operations. They will deploy Gemini AI across approximately 80 million connections. The partnership includes exploring "data monetization initiatives to unlock the value of its telco data." Translation: They are selling your data. They are monetising your privacy. They are using Google's AI to surveil you and profit from it. And they are doing it while operating an unregulated legal entity that files perjured defences and harasses customers.PROJECT SOY – $3.84 BILLION TAX FRAUD

On 21 April 2026, the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Liberty Global in Liberty Global, Inc. v. United States. The court held that Project Soy was a "complex tax-structuring transaction" and a "highly structured tax-avoidance scheme." The court denied Liberty Global a $2.4 billion deduction and imposed a 40% penalty. Total exposure: $3.84 billion. Liberty Global admitted the first three steps "did not meaningfully change its economic position and served no substantial non-tax purpose." They admitted it. They lost. They are tax frauds.Liberty Global uses Liberty Blume as the legal engine behind Virgin Media's debt collection operation. Despite Liberty Blume being unregulated, Liberty Global is a corporate shell registered at a postal drop above a shop, operating an unregulated legal entity that commits criminal offences, connected to a £66 million fraud scandal, harassing customers with debt collectors, partnering with Google to monetise your data, and convicted of a $3.84 billion tax fraud. They are not a telecom company. They are a criminal enterprise disguised as one. Everything above is documented, verifiable, and publicly available. Liberty Global cannot scrub the truth. They cannot silence me. And they cannot hide from the evidence. I am a protected whistleblower under PIDA 1998. Everything above is documented and verifiable.Stay away from this corrupt company. Hold them accountable.

Very poor candidate experience

I was contacted my Liberty Global regards a job I had applied for.
I had my initial screening interview on 11 Sept.
They went through some basics and I gave some examples and also demonstrated I'd done my research and talked about their values.
Interview went well and so was expecting the next stage.

However, heard nothing so chased on 23 Sept and in my email gave examples of my experience against each of their values.
No response so on 24 Sept sent the email to a more senior manager.
The next day I got a rejection email.
Is that because I chased?
What if I never chased? Would I just have been ghosted?

Either way, reading some of the reviews and seeing the low ratings on Trustpilot, I can consider myself lucky to have avoided them!

Where is the 'Zero Star' option?

Where is the 'Zero Star' option?
This is NOT one of Richard Branson's companies any more - don't be fooled. It is instead owned by an faceless U.S. entity who claim much on their website but act differently to anyone who contacts them. They put profit over people and refuse to entertain complaints.
When Liberty Global (under the misleading guise of Virgin) encroach onto your property there is no dedicated complaints team to raise your query with (unlike say National Grid). Instead you are put in touch with their legal agents, clearly put in place to frighten anyone but millionaires with deep pockets away by refusing to accept any responsibility nor come to some amicable solution despite clear evidence, instead threatening legal action against the complainant and refusing to deal with the likes you or me because we are not in the litigation game like they are. It's then that you find out that only high profile, costly solicitors have the knowledge that you need to challenge them - but sadly these specialists also do not look at practical solutions so will lead you up the litigation path where they will earn more fees, because they too are only interested in profit over people.
Donald Trump would be proud of this lot!

A Disappointing Lack of Professionalism in Liberty Global’s Hiring Process

The interview process is often a company’s first and most crucial opportunity to showcase its culture, professionalism, and respect for candidates. Unfortunately, my experience with Liberty Global’s legal team—particularly in the hiring process for a Senior Legal Counsel role—has left much to be desired.

After being contacted for an initial screening with a company representative, I invested significant time preparing for the conversation, researching Liberty Global’s business, and considering how my expertise could add value to their legal team. The interview itself was a positive discussion, and I was told to expect feedback within a reasonable timeframe.

And then—nothing.

Days turned into weeks, and despite follow-ups on my end, I was met with radio silence. No updates, no courtesy email, not even a templated rejection note. Just complete and utter ghosting. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, particularly from a global corporation that should be setting a higher standard in corporate etiquette and employer branding.

If this is how Liberty Global treats prospective employees—highly experienced legal professionals, no less—one can only imagine how internal operations function. A hiring process is a two-way street; just as candidates are expected to be prepared, professional, and communicative, so too should companies. The absence of basic courtesy in handling candidates speaks volumes about an organization’s culture and priorities.

To any legal professionals considering opportunities with Liberty Global: be prepared for an opaque, discourteous hiring process. And to Liberty Global: you can and must do better.

Makes me laugh there website page is…

Makes me laugh, there website page is all about investors and investing in themselves, that says it all, profits profits profits. To the expense of the customer though. Without us customers they will have no investors. The public won't take it anymore and they need to learn quickly.

Attempt to resolve virgin medias incompetance

C-140424559
This company have the most abysmal customer services. When you submit a complaint you get a copy and paste ludicrous e mail written in very poor grammar that is sort of ”English” the detail basically always says Turing is ignoring the complaint.
On 06.05.24 I rang 03454541111 laughingly referred to as customer service, I spent 26 minutes and 41 seconds being patronised by an employee, she kept putting me on hold, finally her solution to my questions re if my hardware was up to date and the issue I was having with my broadband, as a customer for at least 24 years (though I think longer) was to offer me a significant speed and package upgrade for only a total of 50p extra per month. To qualify I had to pay a charge of £35, as I already pay nearly £1000 a year I said yes to the offer but with NO charge.
I e mailed about it after giving the lady (sounded like I was talking to someone on the subcontinent) the refusal to pay them even more money, another staff member replied asking me to provide a copy of the letter offering me the upgrade! I pointed out it was on the phone and they say their calls are recorded, so suggested they listen to the call.
NO REPLY SINCE
UTTERLY ABYSMAL CUSTOMER SERVICE
In my 68 years of life, I have never ever encountered a “service” as dysfunctional as this!

Virgin media DO NOT REPLY TO THIS REVIEW BY ASKING ME TO RING YOUR USELESS PHONE NUMBER ITS A COP OUT! You have ALL YOU NEED to resolve this without me wasting my life talking to your customer service clones who can only stick to a script.
If you need more information pass this on to a manager who does have access. Don’t try to fob me off with platitudes or numbers to call or links to click.

You will note that the idiot who replied copied and pasted all the information I said I DID NOT WANT.
Tweeted the CEO as this lot are utterly incompetent

Get a MANAGER ONLY to reply and NOT copy and paste your normal drivel!

I DO NOT WANT YOUR IRRELEVANT LINK AS ALL HAVE FAILED TO RESOLVE I DO NOT WANT TO RING OR E MAIL GIVE ME A CREDIBLE PERSON TO CONTACT
Reposted in the vain hope that the clone reading it doesn’t copy and paste the standard reply. They can, as employees of the dysfunctional company escalate with the complaints reference number to a manager.

DO NOT COOY AND PASTE YOUR STANDARD DRVEL ON METHODS OF CONTACT

**********look at the scoring of your reviews how many are 5 star and you pretend you are disappointed with mine? It’s absolutely the normality**********

If the responder had the courtesy to read my complaint they would see that the initial comment shows the Virgin media complaints reference of
C140424559 ergo you DO NOT NEED MY DETAILS, but if you provided ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE you would do as I request and escalate this are are you just a typographic parrot posting copy and paste formulaic bland meaningless responses?
You have all the information you need without needing direct access to me.

B******* of a company

B******* of a company. Saira from Liberty Global emailed me through the ombudsman as I made a complaint about Virgin Media. She said that she would compensate me £50 check by post and get my services cancelled immediately. I did not request this at all. I requested someone to contact me to discuss this further so when the 28 days is over I will be really be p off because my Wi-Fi will be disconnected. I've sent a numerous emails for which she has ignored. I've contacted the number and nobody ever answers the phone, only once last week at 8 a.m. a woman answered the phone and told me this is the reception number only and that I would need to contact another number. She gave me this number 0343429900 which was disconnected, it was a wrong number. I rang back and there was no answer, absolutely disgusting. It's very funny that not once the company has replied to any of these negative comments, scam and I'll be taking legal action against them. Don't let them get away with this guys, complain complain complain. Tarnish their business as they tarnish others

Why are Liberty such fraudsters

Why are Liberty such fraudsters? Why not be honest like normal plc companies? I was a holder of Cable & Wireless and then these crooks took them over. I was given Liberty Global's share as a replacement for them and they have halved in value. With Cable & wireless I Got a dividend twice a year but these Cowboys pay nothing. People like them should not be allowed to run a PLC Company. Please investigate them.

Claim for damage to my vehicle

Claim for damage to my vehicle.
I confirm that I have had the investigation report and statements from the onsite operatives for the works carried for VM. The works in question were linked to installation of distribution duct underground. On arrival and site survey the team identified the previous works and proceeded to open manholes to verify the existent ducts. Barriers were erected around chambers, including the one outside your property near a parked vehicle (your vehicle). The operatives confirmed that the barrier had been installed only a few centimetres away from your vehicle.

Whilst it is not disputed that the barrier had been moved by the wind, VM denies that the barriers fell on you vehicle and could not have caused the damage alleged.Virgin Media UK did damage my car and are not telling the truth, and effectively calling me a liar.

MALONE has DESTROYED O2

To give you an idea of how this organisation operates just take a look at the reviews for Virgin media and the transformation of the O2 reviews from being utterly excellent to utterly appalling ! When I took out a contract with O2 to ESCAPE from V.M. O2 were great. UK C.S. and excellent communication skills. Now Malone has got his grubby little paws into O2 the transformation is visible for all to see. Outsourcing C.S abroad to fraudster sweatshops will be the downfall of your scumbag companies. YOU HAVE DESTROYED A GREAT COMPANY Mr Malone. In time you will pay....

A Broad Band of Thugs

Updated Review

I made contact with Liberty Global recently, the representative passing me back over to Virgin Media with a nonchalant flick of his wrist, no communication, only for Virgin Media to go quiet, and so I emailed the ghostly company once again, this time to a response of nothing. They did absolute zilch to rectify the very dangerous ongoing situation that was reported, this a detailed explanation of everything that has happened to-date, further proving that profit is their one and only ambition, all else but trivialities, this including safety standards of their shoddy equipment and ill-trained staff members and worthless shares into a company on its way down (because Virgin Media will surely be found out sooner or later, if or when people start behaving again with a modicum of self-respect and think about things other than the latest phone-signal).

Old Review

Quick online dictionary search for the word 'liberty':

'1. the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behaviour, or political views.
2. the power or scope to act as one pleases.'

Another search:

'1. freedom from arbitrary or despotic government or control.
2. freedom from external or foreign rule; independence.
3. freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc.; power or right of doing, thinking, speaking...
4. freedom from captivity, confinement, or physical restraint.'

What indeed, you might ask, have these definitions got anything to do with Liberty Global, and you would be in the right to do so. This company-name, as it stands, is in need of revision; the better option, company closure. But what have they done wrong?

Lies are not always identified with physical movement, peculiar as that might seem; often the case, it is non-action when directly tasked with the responsibility to act, which exposes the masked intruder.

Not once was there any admission of the fact that Liberty Global owns Virgin Media, over a period of many years within which Virgin Media (and Ofcom) were approached many times over, despite the requirement of discourse with those in charge of the company higher up the ladder of command. Instead, I was faced with low-minded staff posing as CEOs or managers of Virgin Media, itself. These stooges clearly demonstrated a lack in knowledge of business-ethics and standards of safety and customer care. I found out, only recently, from a forum-blog that Virgin Media are not actually owned by Virgin.

This has to be an unspoken layer of deceit in the hiding of Liberty Global's own lack of involvement from having to fix industry-wide technical problems, whilst the money pours in, complainants not able to make it past the surface-veneer of Virgin Media branding.

After years of emailing company staff whom I thought were the ones I should be talking to, about neighbours with badly-wired telecommunications equipment that emits harmful effects, there predictably came a break-off point when they would refuse to pass the complaints on, obviously not wishing (instructed not...) to get the attention of the parent-company.

It turning out that Liberty Global are directly responsible for badly-trained engineers employed by their company - Virgin Media - and their wiring and infrastructure-installations which are evidently not being carried out to a professional standard (the representative who did the wiring, designated by Virgin Media to double-check his own work instead of someone else, following concerns made known), the electrical effects having been as if there is no earth-ground to the whole building, personally harming those at this address on a daily basis, as has been the situation for the last five years, the neighbour's only response being that he does not want to pay for the rewiring of his house via regulated safety-standards of appliance.

And this deliberate misunderstanding - Virgin Media posing as their own company - must be purposefully intended on the part of Liberty Global, the company having been able to sit back, out the way, not having had to lift a finger to make sure that the technology be removed from the area, the local jerks who undertook these crimes then put under formal correction, and that we receive our rightful claim for personal injury and damages.
