NEGATIVE One Star Review - Kroger has great stores and a NIGHTMARISH pricing policy! They are scammy in their pricing policies. They turn grocery shopping into a CIRCUS. Games designed to trick you. T... Mehr ansehen

If I could I would not give any stars, very rude employees, managers do not call customers back when they have complaints, Will never shop at krogers again.

Lactose free sugar free
Kroger used to have a lactose free sugar free ice cream. They have now replaced this ice cream with real cream. I lived the lactose free sugar free ice cream! Im lactose intolerant and krogers was the only place in town that carried it but they switched it. I miss it and nowhere else to get it. Disappointed!
Kroger at Beltway and West Road
Kroger at Beltway and West Road; horrible customer service. Delivery service is a 50% you will get your order. Often stolen and Kroger manager at this store lies that Kroger doesn’t get the money as if customers too stupid to be Abe to read bank accounts. Blames instacart for getting money from customer account. Customer service useless; all in overseas countries so you’re going to get nothing but a waste of time. No effort for improvement over the years. Customers risk their cards being overused in the store; I’ve had a whole additional grocery bill being deducted from my account that had to be reimbursed. Kroger is 100% accountable for the contracted (INSTACART) to make the deliveries. Kroger immediately gets the money; customers risk whether they get the groceries. Over the experienced years nothing done to improve. Horrible
Kroger online shopping sucks
Kroger online shopping sucks. Some things are pick up only and others are delivery only. I am homebound and rarely make it to the store in person so it is a real inconvenience to find out some things can't be delivered. Wish they'd take a page out of Walmart's online experience because its mostly pretty good. I have issues will all retailers shopping programs but Kroger was my #1 store once. My local stores had the best customer service and the best clearance deals. no more and I hate that they hijack us with fees to join online delivery programs. What a racket they have going.
Delivery Disaster
In anticipation of inclement weather, I ordered essential groceries using Kroger's delivery service. My order was scheduled for delivery between 1:11 and 2:45 pm today, with the next available delivery window being around 6 pm. Around 1 pm, I opened the app, waiting for the status to change from "out for delivery." At 4:00 pm, I contacted customer service and eventually chatted with an agent because the app’s status still said, “out for delivery.” Somehow, the status changed to delivered at 1:52 in the app, and the agent saw delivery at 2 pm on her end. The agent spent some time checking with the delivery team to find my groceries. Then she advised me that she had initiated a refund, which I should get in 2-4 business days. Oh - and I also got a $20 store credit for my inconvenience!
No explanation. Just ... oops...sorry. The agent was as compassionate as she could be - but I still don't have my food. Even worse, I don't have duplicate funds that would allow me to place an order with another company, and it's unreasonable for me to expect to place an order at 5:30 pm and receive it today, tomorrow, Sunday, or Monday because of anticipated bad weather. It became annoyingly clear to me that the outcome would never be in my favor.
I counted on the Kroger name to provide a seamless and professional delivery experience, especially given the many commercials I see touting their refrigerated delivery trucks and dependable service. But I did not do any research before placing my order. Shame on me. Lesson learned. However, the fact remains that I engaged Kroger's services and, according to our agreement, I compensated them in advance, trusting they would uphold their commitment to provide the service and product as promised.
They failed miserably and have forever tainted my opinion of The Kroger Co.
Kroger delivery is horrible
Kroger delivery is horrible. They are delivering rotten moldy vegetables and expired items. Cracked milk jugs, smashed containers. For the money spent I would expect better products and service.
Kroger simply don't care how they treat…
Kroger simply don't care how they treat their customers and they will tell you that very boldly. This is why they don't comply with BBB and ignore Trust Pilot and if you're black then they treat the customers much worst. If you get injured by eating there food from their deli they will tell you don't eat their anymore instead of solving the issue.
My wife's thyroid meds have be changed…
My wife's thyroid meds have be changed by Kroger, a new vendor, and the pill dissolves on her tongue, and her symptoms have returned, and the pill is a different shape, and clearly another vendor. She told the pharmacist, who stopped her and said he knew what she was going to say, so clearly they knew of the problem, and had multiple complaints, but he said there is nothing that can be done to fix the problem, perhaps try other pharmacies, but they might report the same problems. I complained to Kroger corporate, but nothing to fix the problem from them. I just want the original drug to cure her symptoms, not the defective product which Kroger is knowingly selling. Buyer beware. They do not care! Longstanding customer, but they've lost my business. Clearly profits over patient care. Clearly they are willing for my wife to suffer or die for profit.
This store has decent prices
This store has decent prices. However, the cleanliness and quality of there products is inconsistent. The staff aren't very helpful either, unless you're at the checkout.
The morons at Kroger
The morons at Kroger, Duluth, Ga need to re-think their policies. Never ever any carts. Retrieve one and bring it in or forget it. Also, they want to scan your license for adult items. Your caahiers have germy little kids and handle germy money. With flu, covid, pneumonia, etc. going around, that's a NO! I will shop elsewhere. Old enough to be their grandmother and they want to scan my license. NO! You are not touching my stuff with your grimy little hands. I bag my own groceries for that reaaon as well. Never going back and I only live a mile away.
This is absolutely the worst pharmacy…
This is absolutely the worst pharmacy ever, never on time or you have to wait for (the truck) To get there in a day or two, what does that even mean? The staff at the Monroe Kroger is absolutely useless most of the time. I switched and pharmacies and couldn't be happier. So long losers!

I live across the street from this location and the next one closest to me is 20 minutes away otherwise I would not set foot in this store! Came in today 1/6/2026 about 5PM and wanted to tell a manager how AWESOME Jason in the liquor store is and he gave me a yeah ok rolled his eyes and walked off before I could even start speaking.

Worst Kroger Pharmacy ever!
This has got to be the worst Kroger Pharmacy ever. I have been trying to move my prescriptions over to this new store since they opened in November. They still haven't gotten it right and recently they really screwed me. After at least 3 tries, I got most of my scripts moved over and successfully filled one or two of them. Now comes the disappointment..... I talked to them, in person, on 12/29 about refilling a couple of my more expensive scripts before the year end because my insurance was changing and my new insurance did not cover the cost. The person at the counter, black hair and middle aged, said that she would take care of it and they would be ready on 12/31. I called them on 12/31 to make sure they were ready and I talked to "Penny" who said they were not and she began to slam the other staff person and said she didn't know what she was talking about. In spite of that, she said I could pick them up on 1/2/2026 and that she would bill them on 12/31 to my insurance. This sounded good until I went to pick them up today, 1/2/2026 and she tells me that she did fill them because they only had 60 and the prescription was for 90. Of course she failed to call me before today and had no excuse for not doing it other then she really didn't care. My guess is that she wanted to go home on the 31st for new years eve and didn't take care of her business and my prescriptions. Because of her negligence, I will now have a bill for over $2k for medication that I could have received for $0.00...... So from my point of view, this Kroger Pharmacy is unreliable and they don't have any idea of what they are doing. One person says one thing and another says something totally different and even berates to other employee. The make up stuff just to appease you and then never follow through with what they tell you. Unfortunately I lose big and now will change to yet another pharmacy.
Do not shop here . Controversial.
An absolute disaster of a grocery store.
The worst part is they think they authenticate and authorise everything for everybody else.
Inquisitive cashiers and managers.
Everyone should be checking your…
Everyone should be checking your receipt before you leave Kroger especially to see if the "weekly digital coupons" that we all spend time clipping each week are the correct price. 9 times out of 10 I have had to go to the Service Desk and show them on the App that I did indeed clip the coupon. Such and inconvenience for all.
Never ever shop online at Kroger ever ..for me not in person ever
Terrible service terrible shopper named Reginald. The guy doesn't shop at the store you've ordered from online instead he shops elsewhere trying to fill multiple orders at a time unreal he's the worst. Ruined plans for the whole day fooling with this idiot clown 🤡.
The digital coupons are a nightmare
The digital coupons are a nightmare! Older people have a hard time with the online App. And watch the charges on the meat department. Always wrong.
Simple truth Brand Owned by Kroger
Simple truth, organic foods is owned by the Kroger brand. Kroger brand is owned by the very same banking people black rock. They have no intention of serving the public with healthy foods simple truth, eggs have worst color yoke. These are not organic in any stretch of the imagination. Stay away from simple truth stay away from Kroger. Do not give them your money. Find a farmers market. I’m so sick and tired of being poisoned by these massive companies.
Driver demanded cash tip.
Kroger delivery offer a discount for a new order. I tried it. When completed, the app asked about tipping. So, I added a 20% tip. Hours later, a twenty-some young girl delivered to my house.
She asked for a tip. I explained that I added it to the order. She insisted that I give her cash now. I said that I could not cancel the tip on the app. She stomped her foot and demanded a tip again. I thanked her again and closed the door. I will not order again because of the pressure. Sorry, Kroger.
ONLY SHOP WHERE YOU ARE RESPECTED & VALUED!
To Whom It May Concern,
This letter is both a formal complaint and a public warning to all SNAP recipients regarding Kroger/Smith’s harmful and unnecessary barriers to using EBT for online grocery purchases.
On December 6, 2025, I attempted to place an online order with Smith’s using my SNAP/EBT card. I had over $300 available on my EBT card, and my order totaled $112, consisting entirely of EBT-eligible food items. Despite this, the checkout system refused to process my EBT payment and instead attempted to charge my debit card—an account with no funds.
When I contacted customer service, the supervisor informed me that Kroger’s policy requires customers to have at least $1 available on a debit card, even when the order is being paid for entirely with EBT. I explained that I was relying solely on my EBT benefits and had no issue with an EBT authorization hold. She confirmed there was no EBT hold, stated this was Kroger’s rule, and admitted she personally thought it was unfair—but she could not override it.
This policy means that a SNAP recipient can have hundreds of dollars in approved food benefits and still be blocked from purchasing food simply because they do not have one dollar in a separate bank account. Worse, any authorization hold for weighed items would have been more than a dollar, raising the concern that Kroger’s system could potentially attempt charges that risk overdrafting low-income customers.
This is unacceptable, discriminatory, and completely opposite of what the SNAP program is designed for.
Because Smith’s/Kroger refused to process my fully funded EBT order, I had to shop elsewhere. A local Mexican grocery store was able to complete my order with no debit card requirement, no barriers, and far better customer service.
For these reasons, I strongly urge all SNAP recipients to reconsider using Kroger or Smith’s for online groceries.
Their policies can prevent you from accessing food—even when you have sufficient EBT funds.
No household should face that kind of barrier when trying to feed themselves or their family.
I will be submitting this incident to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and any other appropriate agencies for review of Kroger’s online EBT processing practices.
Other grocery stores, including Black-owned stores and local Mexican markets, have shown far more respect and accessibility for SNAP customers. It is clear where our business should go.
Horrible
Horrible! How was your deli closed at 7 o’clock???? I’ll take my business elsewhere. You guys are ridiculous. How are you even still in business?
