Great program, easy to figure out how to get things done and find what needs done.

We have been with LSOA for a while now. We love it I now have a 4th grader and a Kindergarten student with LSOA they both love the school format the extra help they offer and all the great teachers y’all have . We think Lone Star Online Academy is great!!!

I enjoyed the fact that my kids were safe at home while learning. The most disappointing thing is the counselor for my Senior never responds to my phone calls or emails. Not just one time but numerous times I have never received a response to my phone calls or emails. Very disappointing especially because I need answers to my questions for my Senior.

The school is teaching my son's that having a education is the best thing in life,, my 21 year old is graduating from the school next month in May and my youngest son is in the 3rd grade going into the 4th grade in August of this year... They love online school, they said that their teachers are the Best!!!!

It's not the company, it's the teachers that made my daughter's experience good. They respond to questions via email or online always much faster than brick and mortar teachers ever could. They also don't have to deal with as much misbehavior among the students during class so they seem to enjoy teaching more. Those teachers that used their own curriculum more than the K12 format had much more interesting classes my daughter said.

Great school, good programs, excellent teachers and counselors

I absolutely love VSVA for my daughter. Public school did not work for us, she was absolutely miserable there due to bullying and teachers acting as if her anxiety didn’t exist. She would cry every night before school and it was incredibly tough on her as a kindergartener. The following year, her father and I decided to pull her out of public school and give VSVA a chance. I am forever grateful for this opportunity that I have as a mother, to be able to help my daughter comfortably and successfully reach her academic goals each year. Thank you so much VSVA and everyone who is part of this amazing program we have for our children. I am so very thankful for every single one of you. We ❤️ VSVA!

I love that my child can work at his own pace

This is by far the WORST experience with online education we have experienced due to the fact that most of the instructors do not provide their phone numbers and only communicate through Canvas. That is absolutely unacceptable. Brick and mortar schools do not shield their educators and allow them to hide behind an email address. Parents should absolutely be granted phone numbers at the very first day. It creates distance and breeds misunderstandings and miscommunication and therefore, ultimately, dissatisfaction with LSOA. We HATED this year.

We love the flexibility and the more tailored curriculum!

It's convenient for my child and shes not getting bullied

My daughter is doing excellent in her classes she really enjoys the one on one with her teacher’s. And the experience of the online classes altogether and meeting other students.

Well I love the online schooling and so does my boy when I can get on to put his attendance in . Also his test he went then was to make up his 1st test he missed a week ago was to be back at 12:30 an no one was there they were all gone

I have had a great experience with my son 2nd year he been in k-12.Love the way his teachers react with the kids and very helpful with daily work.

MOVA has been a great experience all around. The teachers have been incredible and my son has gotten to take many courses that matched his interests.

Nice program, sort of flexible but they have some technical issues and aren’t willing to adjust “absent” status without proof of doing school work on that particular day however our requirement is to log in as we are in the flex program. If you want true flexibility this may not be for you.

This is the best learning environment for my child. My child learn more in one year than they did two years in their former physical school.

We feel the school could offer more technology classes or projects. It would be great if there were more opportunities for kids to explore computers, coding, and other tech activities. Maybe music class could be a little shorter to make room for this.
It would also be wonderful if the school could provide some free apps for kids to use at home for extra learning. Even in the summer breaks for homework . While IXL is a good tool, it can be a little difficult for younger children, and they get tired quickly.
We also think assignments should be small and manageable. Kids don’t like sitting too long, so shorter activities would help them stay focused and enjoy learning more.
Finally, it would be great to have in-person activities on weekends, like Saturdays, so kids can socialize, make friends, and enjoy learning together outside of online classes.
Overall, we think it’s a wonderful school, and our child is thriving. We hope to see more fun, hands-on technology learning and child-friendly learning tools in the future!
