Installation awful as worktop cut too short at templating. Didn’t even receive an apology, have called Customer services twice to find out how long replacement is going to be. Without a hob for an extra 2 weeks and they don’t even have the courtesy to contact you.

We had our worktops installed 15/10. The installation is poor at best. Theirs a dull haze on the top of worktops, doesn't look sealed correctly. Edges smooth but tops feel rough to touch. Tops of up-stand not sealed. Scribe to wall units not good. Island stone top not correctly located should be 20mm overhang on two sides for lighting strip to be fitted, for some reason 30mm one side 10mm the other. Also underside polished for the lighting strip to adhere to. After two emails no reply.

Worktops themselves are lovely, however, the service and actual cutting of the tops is terrible, and they have no interest after fitting, you will need to harass them the get anywhere.
I have a 12mm and 10mm gap in 2 places, that I told their measuring representative, would be painted. They are now saying I have signed to say it would be tiled, which is not the case, and have said that a 8-10mm gap is acceptable!! When we had the measuring up carried out, we were told that we could not even paint as it may effect the fitting, I could have tiled and it would have then still had a gap.
So, if you want an ill fitting very expensive product, and to be called a liar if there is a problem, go ahead and use them, otherwise, look elsewhere for your dream worktops.

Since the last report, and the reply from Rotherams promising a call and that they will sort things out. A call has not been received and the complaints department half offered a solution, but that we would have to pay extra to hide their incompetence. Having said that this is not acceptable they are now trying to wash their hands of us. It would appear that installing worktops with huge gaps is totally acceptable for them. At this point if they were the last company in the world to offer worktops, I still would not consider using them.

The surveyor was very helpful. The product, Gemini Quartz, fitted superbly by a competent pair of fitters who were on time, polite and didn't waste any time in installation.

J Rotherham's admin team were very helpful in arranging times etc.

Our templater arrived when expected and got on efficiently with what he needed to do. He explained the process and checked that the worktop colour was what we wanted. Like others the lead time was slightly longer than expected however we were able to manage. The installers arrived on time and got on with their work efficiently. Like the appearance of our worktops and so far so good but it is early days.

The installation team dented our almost brand new vinyl floor by moving the fridge freezer (whilst still on and full of food goods). We did not notice this until the evening after the installers had left. I emailed J Rotherams and included photos of the damage. When I received a reply it basically said that they had nothing to do with the damage and nothing further was to be done.
Secondly the worktop has been fitted exactly 1 week and we have just noticed a small crack on the worktop near the undermounted sink. I am assuming we have only now noticed the crack and not a few days due to the build up of dirt that is now accumulating in the crack. I have again sent another email with photos and at this moment in time am awaiting a response. After spending £3000 on a worktop I am not too impressed so far.

We received a good service from start to finish. The surveyor who templates our tops was very friendly & professional. We were advised 5 to 10 days to fitting, but this took 3 weeks. The fitters were great, professional & left everything tidy. I love my new tops. The reason I gave 4 not 5 stars is there appears a difference on the buffing quality between our worktops & island which is a little disappointing but I'm sure we can continue to improve this.

Absolutely terrible I have been left with a scorch mark on a quartz splash back with in a couple of weeks of using but j Rotherham or wren are not prepared to replace although the product supposedly has 25 year warrantnty.

I am writing this out of sheer frustration at being ignored by J Rotherham. Template taken on 8.10.19 and informed today that fitting will be on 29.10.19! 3 weeks is totally unacceptable with no apparent reason other than ‘it’s a busy time of year’. This information I got from a totally disinterested call handler on my 3 call; 3 emails have been ignored.
The website is misleading stating from template to installation is 13 days, informed on the phone this 13 working days which it does not state. I have complained to @WrenKitchens and waiting for a response. I’m not hopeful anything will be done.
I have a half finished kitchen which isn’t useable and it appears powerless to do anything about it!

Poor installation team. The 2 engineers appeared to have an argument amongst themselves, swearing at each other while I was in the next room. 1 of the engineers ended up sitting in the van with his feet up on the dashboard and left the other to do the works. Our new paint finish on the walls was marked in several places as the new worktops were installed. The sealant used on the upstands around the worktops was not cleaned off and has marked the walls, requiring repainting. The worktops were not cleaned before the engineers left, leaving them dirty.

Like a few other reviews from people who have bought via Wren the lead times that you are told against reality are very different. We were told 5 - 7 working days but were without proper worktops for over a month so be aware of this.

Getting through on the telephone for updates was also difficult and was usually on hold for at least 10 minutes. When I did get through I never got an answer other than "we will let you know". That was normally via an email which isn't to me very personal.

I got the feeling that the order process was very rigid and that unfortunately the customer was not the priority but more your process was and that we would have to fit that.

Overall not a great experience however the worktops eventually look great.

Excellent worktop but the lead times are at best misleading! Told by wrens that it would be 7-10 days wait then after the template we are told 10-12 working days, ended up 18 working days! Leaving us without a kitchen for around 5 weeks the time the old kitchen was ripped out and all connected back up. If told this at the start we would have reconsidered going with the quartz worktop.

Excellent product and service throughout; templating Surveyor was knowledgeable and very helpful, explaining all the finish options available (more so than the Kitchen provider), a two week delay between templating and delivery was a little frustrating but the promised delivery date was met and Fitting Team was professional, very polite and efficient, couldn't ask for anything more - thank you !

We were told 7-10 days between templating and installation of worksurface. Templator comes round, measures up and then the following day they says it's now 20 days and that will be from next week rather than the day of templating...

They're happy to lie about lead times to pull in business and will then change it when you've already been tied in. Wren didn't tell us that this company would be doing our work tops, as we would not have used them if we'd known how long it would be!!
