Disappointing Experience: Movers Missed Items and Damaged Furniture
We recently moved from Kirkland, WA to Greenwich, CT. My experience with this moving company was far from satisfactory. While the staff and movers were pleasant, my overall experience was marred by several issues.
Firstly, the movers did not handle my stuff with the care I expected. My dresser and nightstand ended up chipped and scratched during the move, a computer monitor and kitchen glassware were also smashed up, which was disappointing.
The most significant problem, however, was the disappearance of valuable items like my expensive men's bike and a pressure washer. When I reached out to the company and filed a claim, I was told that because I had signed the paperwork upon delivery, they had no liability for the missing items. This was extremely frustrating.
If you are considering hiring this moving service, my advice to you would be to act as your own supervisor throughout the entire process. Create and maintain a meticulous list of all items packaged and ensure you check off each item as it is being delivered. This extra step may seem unnecessary, but my experience has taught me that it is essential when dealing with this company.
Moving a household is already a significant undertaking, especially if you have children to manage during the process. The added stress of ensuring every item is accounted for during the move should not be the customer's responsibility alone. It's deeply disappointing that this company could not take responsibility for their mistakes and left me with missing items and no recourse for recovery.
