AVOID AVOID AVOID

Ruined my blazer and because I couldn’t provide a receipt they won’t even offer me half of the money to replace it. I have the tags and box & sent a link to the exact item but no. It’s also taken weeks to get to this point. With zero contact I have had to chase

AVOID THIS COMPANY. Anything sentimental or high value, DO NOT TAKE HERE!!!!!!

Top review for this amazing shop

I find this shop amazing, whatever the problem there is always a solution and my clothes come back as new. The gentleman who runs it is so knowledgeable and helpful that I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Eastbourne store- Avoid avoid avoid

Eastbourne store- Avoid avoid avoid! I took my dress here for a replacement zip. When it arrived back the zip was puckered and had not been sewn evenly. I asked them to send to back to be redone which they did but when it was ready for collection, it was still uneven and puckered. I was told the repair was carried out by a seamstress - if this is the case I think she should find another vocation as her sewing 🧵 skills suck. DO NOT SEND YOUR PRECIOUS CLOTHES HERE, THEY’LL BE RUINED 😡

Thank you to the wonderful lady in the Rochester Kent store who does the alterations. She is beyond a star, and did an amazing job on altering my daughter's wedding dress. She went above and beyond, fitting in the alterations for my daughter for her wedding on 03/10/24. The dress fitted perfectly and you wouldn't know there were any alterations made. Thank you for fitting her in before your holiday, again I can't thank you enough for making her feel so very special xXx

Very disappointed

I took my Hugo boss jacket to be dry cleaned and to see if they could get a stain out of it.
They in turn ended up burning the material of the suit jacket and washing it 3 times so the jacket is now in worse condition than it was when it went in. I now have a Jacket with material permanently damaged and unable to wear. I would’ve preference for them to do it once and say sorry we can’t get it out.
This personally is awful as it was my wedding suit and I’m gutted.

DO NOT GO HERE - CLOTHES RUINED FROM NOT READING SIMPLE DRY CLEANING CARE LABEL

I would give 0 stars if I could. They have absolutely no respect for your clothes and what should be an easy and simple job of reading and adhering to the dry cleaning care label was completely disregarded resulting in my clothes being ruined, unfixable and irreplaceable.

I trusted this well-known national dry cleaning company, believing my clothes would be in safe hands however, I was sorely mistaken. I strongly advise you to go to a business that actually knows how to dry clean clothes correctly. To make matters worse, they returned the clothing to me without mentioning the obvious damage, in the hope that I wouldn’t notice.

The complaints team are nothing short of incompetent and once I had made them aware of the error they merely parroted the line “we will not replace old for new” even if the item is in mint condition. This is evidently a ploy they have used on numerous occasions to justify inadequate compensation that doesn’t reflect the true value of your damaged clothing. They are also not part of any Ombudsman, Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme, or trade bodies, making it extremely difficult to escalate any claim, which seems very intentional on their part. Adding insult to injury, their T&Cs state that if they pay out any compensation at all your clothes then become their property!!!

Safe to say I will never use Johnsons Dry Cleaners again. You are much better off going to a smaller independent dry cleaner who will actually take care of your clothes and do a straight forward job of reading the cleaning instructions provided.

Excellent service !

Doug did an excellent job dry cleaning my suit which was ready the same day for collection, amazing ! It’s so great to have this kind of service provided locally, especially when pressed for time.

10 star service today from the…

10 star service today from the Harrogate branch – took two king size Goose Down duvets for Dry Cleaning I thought it would be mid week before I could collect them dropped them off at 3:30 pm and they said they could do them straight away so collected at 5 pm £60 for both. Couldn’t believe it the girls were upset at the fantastic.

The Wetherby shop is excellent

The Wetherby shop/service point is great, thanks to the excellent and friendly staff. Most recently Fabiola and Emma who are both efficient and friendly.

Re priority club .

Re priority club .
I joined their priority club , they damaged a garment so I never used them again .

You can only communicate with Johnsons through their portal , that’s how I cancelled my priority club , but they still took another payment. You can’t call them or email them ( well I can’t find their details).
So I have no proof I did cancel my membership.
I emailed them today .,, I will update this post when / if they reply

Excellent customer service

I have a dress that I intended to wear to a wedding and realised very last minute that it needed to be steam ironed. I went to Johnsons on Elm Row on the off chance they could do it but fully expecting that they would not be able to as it was so last minute. Mags was fantastic - she fitted it in there and then with good humour and great end result. Thanks very much! Johnsons is always professional with great customer service.

Husbands beautiful blue jacket, put through Waitrose, came back with white bleached marks all over front!! No note explaining. Still charged the £12. Absolutely shocking. Surprised Waitrose deals with them

Stained blazer

My husbands pale linen blazer had pink drink stains on and was feeling very despondent however the wonderful lady at Johnson’s was so knowledgeable and helpful and DID get the stain out with careful attention absolutely wonderful professional and helpful service. A pleasure to bring my clothing to and very informative.

Dropped some clothing off just for…

Dropped some clothing off just for ironing. Wasn’t told at the time that it would cost extra to hang the clothes. When I went & collected the items all my dresses & work shirts were badly folded into the bag I brought them. When I took them out they weren’t wearable! The assistant couldn’t see what the issue was! I was then told that if I wanted them hung after ironing, this would be an extra cost! Surely this is common sense! For 2 bags of ironing (one bag was duvet covers) it cost nearly £90! Absolute joke! They have retaken the items back to re-iron & now hang!
