Moderne Mansions is a joke
Living in Moderne Mansions has been deeply disappointing.
I understand this isn’t a luxury development, and none of us are expecting five-star treatment…but the way things are being handled here is simply unacceptable. I’ve spoken with several of my neighbours, and the general consensus is that management rarely responds, and when they do, nothing actually changes.
There’s nowhere proper to receive letters or parcels, so mail often ends up tossed on the floor or, worse, left outside on the street. I worry about my son coming home in the evenings, as the front door lock doesn’t work properly. He’s struggled to get in more than once, and I find that really concerning.
There was also a washing machine left downstairs for months by residents on the second floor — it eventually began to smell, and only after other tenants left notes, did it finally get removed. Now, those same people have started piling up their rubbish in that same spot.
The noise in the evenings is another issue altogether. Members from the Conservative Club stand around outside, talking loudly and shouting into the night. I politely asked someone inside the club if they could consider putting up a sign to encourage a bit of courtesy, and was told they’d “look into it.” Nothing’s changed since.
There’s no sign to label our building so people attending the building often get lost
If you’re thinking of moving here — or renting a flat from this management company….. I would strongly advise you to think twice. We deserve better.
