Dreadful customer service. I have been waiting 3 weeks for items to be picked up and they still do not get back to me!!! Will never shop Homebase again!

I have been using the Barnstaple store and there carpark for years and the

I went in and was there for some time speaking to different departments and navigating the craziness. I had to wait fir help in various locations ie get lights down, find bits for taps etc etc.

I go to the counter and a very rude women abruptly says cash is over there and rolled her eyes like I was meant to know. Then I mentioned it to the one at the other counter who relied ooo you can count as well. Being unwell and on high pain killers I'm really not in the mood for an arguing or to be treated like dirt so we put it down to people being bitter.

Later on we get a fine for the carpark that you have to use to get to the store. Now keep in mind we went to several different departments the store was crazy busy so it took time.

So I called and said hey we got this fine. Before I could say anymore I got (in an abrupt, rude and aggressive tone) there are sighns you stayed over the time limit nothing I can do and hung uo even when I said but we was purchasing goods. Nothing I can do and pretty much slammed the phone down on me. I barley utterd anything and was spoken to like dirt. I have plenty of reason with my health to be bitter and twisted but why do strangers need to have my mood inflicted on them. Honestly I just sat and cried. Let's say I was not in any place to handle somone being abusive towards me. I'm in business and would fast be out of business if I even spoke to anyone on this manner. I have escalated it. They have gone full blown aggressive and nasty in this store.

Homebase head office did email me for proof of the fine and did wipe it off however no apology and even though my name is Kaz they kept saying Hello Karen !! I was very carful to only state facts so do find this not on.

From start to finish Carolyn went above and beyond to design my perfect kitchen, she listened to all of my needs and helped me achieve everything I wanted. She was friendly and supportive and nothing was too much for her to do, even after I changed my mind on multiple occasions!

I was a bit disappointed with the minimum delivery fee as my nearest store is nearly a mile away. And the only way can get to the store is by bus. I have an arthritic neck and find it difficult to carry things too far. So I chose home delivery for a few basic items. There doesn't appear to be an option to order online, pay and just pick up from customer services. As provided by Argos. This isn't a complaint because I received the orders I placed in good time

But I had been able to just prepay and pick up instead of looking around the store for a long time the experience would have been much better

Friendly staff and pick up was easy to sort out. Shame Homebase is closing its always been a great store to deal with and the staff are wonderful too.

I'm a volunteer for a local charity.. and accompanied a lady with severe sight issues..
She had already spoken with a staff member yesterday 11th.. whom she said couldn't have been more helpful.. She had discussed perchasing a mirror.
Today we visited the Barnstaple, Devon branch.. where Debbie went above and beyond to help with buying a mirror, a broom, and crocus plants.. Debbie accompanied and assisted us every step of the way,and while I assisted my client to my car, Debbie brought purchases out to us in a trolley. She was genuinely helpful. and sincere with it.
