Parking ticket for Disabled Passenger
I used the parking at Home Bargains in Stanley. I took a disabled passenger, with a blue badge.
They use Parking Eye to manage their carpark, so no one is responsible in the store.
As they had limited mobility, and wanted stuff from Home Bargains and elsewhere, we did the shopping. But we were 23 minutes late leaving the car park. Therefore, we got a parking charge.
Parking Eye didn't take into account the difficulties someone may have in exiting and entering a vehile, so even after I appealled, no joy.
So make sure you exit the carpark within the time, as it uses ANPR on entry and Exit.
Visited the Goole store today
Visited the Goole store today . Large queues at the checkouts. Staff requested more tills to open. The assistant came and served the lady in front of us and then us without one curtesy ‘thank you for waiting’ to either of us. The only time she spoke to me was to tell me how much my shop was. The reason for this was she was too busy talking to the people behind me in the queue who were obviously known to her. This is not the usual service you receive at this store . Very disappointing.
Edmonton N9 branch…
Highly recommend the Edmonton N9 branch of Home Bargains. Friendly, helpful staff. I'm a regular in there and I love the range of cleaning products, stuff for the Home, snacks etc... prices are reasonable and I love that they often get new products in which keeps the shopping experience fun.
Excellent service from Newton le Willows
The Newton le Willows store is always a great place to shop. It's kept really clean and tidy and the staff are always very helpful. Today I had an issue and I was taken to a manager straight away. She resolved my problem in no time. It's very much appreciated. Thank you

Yesterday we visited Home Bargains…
Yesterday we visited Home Bargains (Crown Street) and was served by staff member Derek. Derek gave us great customer service. He definitely brightened our day. He made us feel very welcome to the shop and spoke to us throughout the transaction.
Home bargains has the worst customer service
Home bargains has the worst customer service “help” that I’ve ever experienced. The website had an issue and I was trying to sort it regarding my recent order. I had the most useless responses and they basically told me it’s my problem. They were not going to help and not going to do anything. I wanted the order cancelled and they said they can’t do that (I haven’t had a confirmation of my order still). I think they are an absolute joke and they shouldn’t have a customer service as they don’t help. Their website and staff need an upgrade.

The reason for this is because I went there for my child's back to school lunch and when I came home they asked for a cheese strings I gave it to them. Not even a minute later they come back saying it tastes weird so I try it and it has this horrible stench , disgusting taste and it has ruined my child's appetite .

We recently purchased from Home Bargins Seaham 2 x “JARDIN” fence trellis and a “JARDIN” Palm tree artificial Plant. They are all a fantastic value and the quality is outstanding, they look amazing!!
Staff retrain
Kirkstall bridge shopping centre store, staff members. Actually disgusting behaviour towards a person with severe mental health or disability. Your staff need to be retrained immediately. One member shouted at a clearly not well person because they were vocal " IM NOT TALKING TO YOU" like some stroppy teenager when the staff must of encountered this lady before as one said " she has something wrong with her" then the constant chat and sniggering continued through the store with staff and customers untill she left. Even my step daughter had to walk away with me at the age of 15 because she thought it was horrible! Imagine this was your family member? The woman is probably being failed by our system not having a carer already without being not short of attacked by employees of a store making her feel not welcome and probably more agitated! I calmly spoke to her to walk past her and thanked her like any normal person should do and she showed no aggression towards me because of it and I was closer than most staff members. Honestly changed my opinion on ever stepping foot in there again.
Excellent Service
I ordered 7 items on Thursday and received them today Saturday. Two days must be a record for a delivery. Excellent service,excellent quality items and all packaged well. Definitely recommended. Brilliant.
Beware when ordering online
I ordered 8 small items from Home Bargains. Four of which were skincare products purchased for a birthday gift. When I checked the items, two of the tubs were about a third full. One of them is supposed to be a cream, that turns to an oil (Whind products) when massaged on to the skin. Yet it arrived as an oil. I could not give them as gifts as the recipient would think I was gifting used items!
I took photos and emailed Home Bargains within 30 minutes of receiving my order. I received an automated response informing me on my options to return them. I emailed again repeating that I would like to return them and receive a replacement. I received a further email stating they had generated a refund for the 2 items, but could not replace the items. No reason given and products still available online when I checked.
So, now I can't use the 4 items together as a gift set. The 4 other items were haircare products. The total cost for the 8 items was £31 with a £13 delivery charge. I wouldn't have ordered them and paid that level of delivery charge if I had known the Whind products were not fit for sale as it was these items that I really wanted.

I’ve shopped in many home bargains great service apart from today in Dingwall About 8 people standing at one Till Man 3 in front of me had a burst compost bag & young boy on till tried to clean it up But yet it took a while for another till to be opened, Give me the Tain & Inverness Longman before Dingwall, Staff need to be more friendly & acknowledge customer

Home bargains in Barry has the best staff
I’m shocked at the home bargains store score on here & maybe the stores in south wales are just filled with good staff because the score doesn’t reflect My experience
I’ve had a few blips over the years in-store at home bargains but nothing that would warrant Me leaving a poor rating,
without this store many of us would have been paying through the nose for items that are otherwise extortionate in comparison,
But frequenting in particular the Barry Store the staff are so professional bearings in mind it’s a budget store paying minimum wage the staff they have are amazing, in particular one young man I never remember his name despite trying to make an effort I forget’ but he’s approximately 25-30 years old curly / wavey black hair & glasses & is the most polite person I have cover spoken to in retail in any store of any calibre
I’ll try to find out his name if I can remember & update on here,
Even waiting in the queue you can hear him always addressing people with Sir or Madam & is very engaging & customer focused with pleasantries ‘ simple things that go a long way’ especially in today’s retail environment

Online. Item was marked as delivered to a different address and customer service is refusing to offer any help and have basically told me just to go to the police. With all due respect this is not a police issue it is an issue with home bargains and the courier company delivering to an incorrect address. I have paid £69.99 for an item I have not received. Zero lack of help, it is shocking. I am left with proof item was not delivered to me and paying for an item I do not even have.

Awful experience,and my first online delivery as find it difficult getting to the shops. Ordered 6 jars of coffee .Box damaged open broken jars of coffee and glass all over the place . Customer service wasn’t good wouldn’t send new order out and only refunded me for broken jars not the other items in the order which I wouldn’t use as broken glass and coffee covering everything .
I was in the wavertree store and got…badman nered rude staff
I was in the wavertree store and got sensations lamb and mint sauce crisps. They were on the shelf with a yellow price sign on which said 2 for £3.00 or £1.65 each which is what I usually pay . So I got to the til and the girl argued with me that they weren't on the offer but I read it before I got them . Soshe asked another member of staff who agreed with her then ran around to the shelf and took it off before I got round to show her. I didn't mind paying the £1.65 but the manager was rude when I told her she said " I know I told her to take the sign off because it wasfor double sensations" well lamb and mint sauce is double. I will not go to wavertree again edge Lane and prescot have helpful and polite staff. And i checked the label before I got them
Staff that Bully and take pride in it
My Partner returned home yesterday in floods of tears after a visit to the Home Bargains in Llandudno.
She was treated like a thief for using a shopping bag, whilst pushing our newborn around in a Doona. The pop up pram does not have a basket underneath.
For two months she has used a shopping bag avoid pushing any heavy weight, post c-section. If life isn't hard enough post surgery, baby blues, new baby in tow and being sleep deprived.
A bonnie women with bright pink hair, tattoos and various piercings decided to put my wife down even further. Telling her off at the till, degrading in front of other customers and taking pride in doing it.
Shame on Home bargains for employing such a degrading creature.
No one deserves to be bullied at the till.
Absolute joke
Absolute joke. Ordered goods to the value of £100+ from this company. What a fiasco! They use Evri as couriers need I say more. 12 emails over 2 days Informing me of deliveries at various times all of which were no shows. Now been given a new date in 7 days time. Words fail me. You can't talk to a human being as everything is done via email. I'm onto my bank for a charge back. Will I use this company again what do you think? and I advise others not to even consider as it's way to stressful. You need to think very carefully about your couriers.
