Wonderful
Wonderful, I went into the store in staines and was helped in ordering a DVD to store and the lady was amazing and collected a few days later.

Brilliant service via the HMV online order. Has the items sent to my local store and easy pick up. The trainee who dealt with my order was great. I recommend HMV over and above that other ‘online behemoth.’

Happy but delivery took too long and missed my granddaughters birthday, took 5 days to be delivered to Staines HMV

Shadowed
Every time I go into this HMV, the same employee shadows me suspiciously the entire time I’m there. The first time I went into this store, it was fairly empty, and I’ve worked retail, so I don’t really mind, but I thought it was odd considering I was stood in perfect view of the checkout so there wasn’t much point following me. They came up beside me and started counting things that would make no sense to personally keep inventory of, purposefully out loud saying the numbers (pretty bad acting, haha). The next few times, the store was pretty busy and filled with teenagers (I’m almost 30) and they still shadowed only me. As a black person in the UK, this is pretty typical, especially in other shops like Boots, but considering I’ve been in the store multiple times and have properly bought things each time, it’s started to make me not want to visit the store. I’ve lived in the area a long time and have been visiting this particular HMV since before they moved shops, probably for about 13-15 years, and I’ve never even really seen the employees out on the shop floor instead of behind the till that often. Not to mention that even when a queue was forming, they didn’t return to the till and instead kept shadowing me. I even walked around a little to make sure they were following just me, which they were. It just puts a damper on my day and makes me feel like I can’t even shop without being judged for something I haven’t and will never do. I know from the employees standpoint it probably doesn’t come from a race thing, but you have to admit something has to be going on subconsciously to follow one singular person in a busy store filled with kids and teenagers on a weekend.
