Ah rang t'shop first like, before setting off on a two-hour trek to buy summat. What followed were nowt short of Pythonesque. There were me, a willing customer wi' brass in mi pocket, and t'other chap, who seemed dead set against sellin' owt.
For five minutes I were treated to a masterclass in obstruction. Every answer came wi' a fresh hurdle, every question wi' another complication. It were like trying to buy a dead parrot from a bloke who insisted it were neither dead nor for sale.
In't end I decided I hadn't signed up for the full ten-minute sketch, so knocked it on t'head and rang off.
If customer service were an Olympic sport, this lot would be competing for North Korea.

Recently I purchased a Chinese ceremonial cannon from Henry Krank &Co. Even though I'm not happy they took two screws out of it, even though it's an obsolete calibre, I do understand why. But as a conservationist I find it's wrong given what it has managed to survive over the years. But what was not known for both me and the seller, at the time of it arrival and my eventual purchase, was that this cannon is one of the rarest cannons that anybody can purchase. Having done some research with Microsoft Copilot on this relic, is that this cannon is one of the last remaining ceremonial cannons from the Qin era Mainland china. This cannon belonged to the Guandi Cult, a cult formed in recognition of Guan Yu, who was deitified, given recognition for his bravery and honour in battle. Who had been martyred following his execution in 220 BCE. The cannon represented his divine will and power, and was used in occult practices to ward off evil spirits. But during the Anti-superstitious movement between 1898 - 1976 adopted by the Chinese government to modernise China, the cult suffered persecution sering many of these cannons destroyed, with only a handful surviving. My guess this was sold to Henry Krank by a Chinese family, who arrived in this country from Hong Kong, who had first obtained it for safe keeping before the cannons themselves fell into disuse. As the Guandi Cult still remains in practice, just no longer in mainland China. To the Chinese family who sold it to Henry Krank, who had spent generations taking good care in looking after it. Be rest assured it's in good hands.

Fast delivery and reasonable postage charges

We visited the Henry Krank Pudsey shop recently and were so impressed with the amount of stock which is beautifully displayed.
The staff were very helpful and their service and knowledge was excellent. My husband purchased a pistol, he now has three pistols two were purchased on line and he is highly delighted with them all.
The delivery was spot on, the goods were very well packed and arrived on the promised day.
