Very well curated holiday! Lovely to speak to a human in booking the trip. Use of the Headwater walking app allowed us to experience things that we wouldn't have been able to do if we had done it on our own.

Our recent 10 day self guided cycling trip from Passau to Vienna was excellent. It was well organised with good Headwater staff contact and a well planned itinerary with good hotels. Local tour operator, bikes and app very good and local staff supportive when I left my day rucksack at a previous hotel.I would recommend this holiday.

I had a wonderful one week cycling…
I had a wonderful one week cycling holiday in Mallorca. The holiday was self-guided and I found the Headwater app reliable, so that doing it alone was absolutely fine. The routes were through stunning countryside, and I'd recommend it very highly.

Headwater and are looking at booking our 4 th .All holidays have been great routes , hotels and good communication , cannot fault . Cycling is a great way to see a country away from the usual touristy places , stopping when you want at small cafes enroute . Love it .

We walked and visited some great places…
We walked and visited some great places along the Loire valley. Luggage transfers and taxi transfers were good. The hotels by and large were varied but always clean and comfortable, pleasant and helpful staff and all had a swimming pool.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed at the hotel in Chitenay during our holiday and we had ‘cold plate’ two nights on the run, ( there was no where else to eat, and both meals were included in the price). This was disappointing and not very appetising having walked 19km. There were other hotels in the that would have been a better place to stay.
This was our second walking holiday with Headwater and there were a couple of recurring themes.
1. The navigation app is great when it works! However, we experienced problems in a remote forest and got lost on this occasion.
2. Headwater described this holiday as a level 1 leisurely walking holiday, it wasn’t. Their local agents described it as moderate walking route which is far more accurate.
We experienced Both points 1 and 2 on a previous walking holiday with Headwater along the Algarve.

Excellent communication and support which is essential with this type of holiday.
Headwater Holidays are very well organized for a smooth adventure which has encouraged us to choose them time and time again. It's virtually impossible to get lost with the travel app and support is always available along the way.
Hotels have been lovely and we always experience some beautiful
scenery en route which take us off the beaten track to arrive at authentic destinations.

Highly recommend Headwater
I've used Exodus several times in the past, however this was my first 'self guided' holiday through their sister company, Headwater.
Headwater were excellent from start to finish. Great communication and always helpful when I called them with questions.
The Headwater App was excellent as well. Easy to use and navigate and no need for an internet connection as long as you've downloaded the app before you set off on holiday.
We will definitely be using Headwater again and are already thinking about our next 'self guided' trip.
Would highly recommend.

Wonderful Sicily cycling holiday
Just returned from the Headwater secrets of Sicily cycling trip with four in our group. So glad we went in April as we had fantastic weather and the spring flowers and bird life everywhere along the routes made for such a beautiful and scenic trip. The electric bikes were very good and made the trip manageable for our abilities. Very impressed with the character of the majority of the hotels particularly the Hotel Carmine in Marsala. The roof terrace with small pool and bar on the top of the hotel Room of Andrea also a nice feature.
It’s worth booking a tour of the Pelligrino winery in Marsala as it is still family run and it is a good tasting tour. They offer an 11am English speaking one daily. We found local restaurants near to the hotels in the evenings where we had excellent Italian food and although lunch stops were a bit tricky to find we ate at a few places where the locals had lunch and speaking a bit of Italian here was very useful. The historical sites of Segesta and day out at Erice were fascinating and impressive. Very enjoyable week and made us want to see more of Sicily.

A great walking trip to Malta and Gozo
