Harris Teeter is becoming an invasive spammer
Harris Teeter is becoming invasive online. I tried to unsubscribe to their spam but when I clicked the unsubscribe button I was take to a page where I had to create an account in order to unsubscribe. Creating an account has no purpose but for H-T to sell me to other spammers. This should be illegal. As a consumer my only choice is to stop shopping there; fortunately I have two other choices.

I want to give kudos to the lovely young woman who checked my groceries at the Harris Teeter at Old Regent Way in Leland, NC. Pearl T was very friendly and professional. She was an absolute delight!
The store is always well stocked and very clean. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. John Robins is doing a great job.

Kudos to an observant cashier!…
I am embarrassed to say that I missed providing a good rating to Angelo (store #464), back on 6/22/23! He's the only cashier who's waited on me and automatically gave me the 5% senior discount (I didn't know about the discount, so I've never thought to request one)! I guess if the customer doesn't bring it up, cashier just "breezes through" all the grocery items! Thanks, Angelo!!
Harris Teeter--pleasant environment, good sales
I have five large-chain supermarkets within 5 miles of me, including Harris Teeter (Olney, MD). I find HT the most enjoyable one to patronize. Environment is clean and bright. Employees used to be friendlier and nicer but that has diminished--perhaps from the pandemic? A smile...hello...and thank you (with a purchase) make a big difference.
Prices are a bit higher than the competition on many items, while some HT house-brand items are lower. Sometimes, artisan or small brands are mixed in with the usual brands. The sub counter is a good deal and uses Boars Head meats. Please bring back the red pepper basil sauce!
What I like best is HT's buy-one-get-one free offers each week, always a few items in each department. Get a VIC savings card. Not everyone knows that you can buy just one of these B1G1 items and pay 50%. As a household of one, I’m grateful.
Restock often on your sale items. Don't make the store a racetrack where curbside is primary. See if the produce can be improved. It's there and edible, but quite often looking like it's been around awhile.
I’ve noticed that most of their stores…
I’ve noticed that most of their stores have friendly people who are actually helpful. Unlike many other retail stores in their industry they are defintely above most.
Best grocery chain in Raleigh NC
I really like HT. My friends and acquaintances tell me it's "too expensive". Not for me! I get 5% off on Thursdays for my senior citizen discount, the newspaper runs a $20 off with $100 purchase most every other week, and I have a (free) membership card which gives me discounts on a lot of things and some great specials such as buy two get three free on items such as soda, toilet paper, cheese, and others. I average about 25% off list prices.
Their produce is very good. So is their frozen food selection. I've tried Food Lion, Wegman's, Publix, Fresh Market, Whole Foods, Aldi, Lidl, and Lowe's and I think for the vast majority of items, HT is best.
Never again!
I used to shop only at Harris Teeters but during the Pandemic, I made a drastic change and vowed never to step foot in another HT as long as I live. Without going into detail, it was the management and home office that caused me to make my decision not the front line staff. Long story but suffice it to say corporate couldn’t care less about any negative experience you might have at one of their stores.
Village Pointe Store in Mount Pleasant
Village Pointe Store in Mount Pleasant, SC....Worst produce in our area for 30 years now...I know we are the last delivery and get the left overs, but it is getting worse...Mgmt doesn't care, they don't load the trucks...Just pathetic...
I have been getting some great tasting…
I have been getting some great tasting lamb from HT my last few times.I just need them to have more lamb chops in,they’re always gone too quick.
Good Store; Could use better produce
The store (Arlington VA 22202) I go to is great! I shop there just about weekly. The employees are very helpful and friendly. I also use the pharmacy and I have never had any issues. The only issue I have had is that the produce is not as fresh as I would like. I have gotten home to find produce I had just purchased is already bad a few times. They always take it back but it is a hassle.
Overall, I enjoy shopping at this grocery store. I would recommend this store if it is convenient for you.
