GROUP NEXUS. SCAMMERS.

Being disabled, I carry a disabled badge which untitles me to free parking when shown at the payment meter. I took my son to russels hall hospital with a broken leg, we couldn’t park anywhere as the car park was full and the roads were blocked at the site too, leaving us in a queue for 30mins till we could get to the main entrance. We couldn’t find a wheel chair which was shocking, whilst I found someone to take care of my son to take him to the here he needed to be, I was forced to park near the maternity area with my disabled badge on show, when I managed to meet up with him in the hospital I produced my disabled badge and it was excepted as free parking. We visit a number of times due to disability issues and this company has now sent a fine which is absolutely shocking. The government need to look at this company they really are complete scammers.

SCAMMERS. AVOID.

Absolute ba5tard5. Parked in Tesco car park Birmingham which says to validate your parking WHICH I DID and parked for less than 2 hours anyway. They sent a fine of £70. I told them I don’t have the validation receipt because like everyone else, it’s thrown away. They said a bank statement showing you shopped at Tesco would be alternative proof. I showed them this and they said we don’t accept the statement????? Forced me to pay the amount. Park anywhere else but where these idiots operate. Simply shocking. Will be complaining to trading standards and recommend everyone else to.

They do not deserve even 1 star

Simply appalling company who are impossible to contact if you have a problem. I am sure the newly formed company directors have designed this so the charges get escalated .
I wrote to query my fine - I did pay . All correspondence to their PO Box address is ignored. Instead they escalate the action and the charge whilst I await a response to my letter . Now unable to appeal , fine is £120 and legal action is threatened . It is now a month since I wrote and no acknowledgement but increasingly menacing communication

TIcket issued despite vehicle being registered to park

My wife works at Scarborough hospital, both of our cars are registered on the hospital ANPR parking scheme, we have proof of this in email form.
We were issued a PCN for parking in the hospital in 2025 and it was appealed successfully after we provided proof that the vehicle had been registered.

In 2026 my wife was driving the same car and was issued a PCN from Scarborough Hospital again, arriving through the post. It was sent to me as the registered keeper and I appealed it detailing the fact it was registered on the ANPR system and that the previous PCN (reference number supplied) from 2025 had been cancelled as a result of their error. This was highlighted to them that it must be an error on their part and that they should check their system.

Unfortunately communication with this company of questionable character is difficult. They seem unable to read, comprehend, or process what they are provided with. As usual they sat on the email and appeal for some time, then said it must be my wife who appeals it. They have already been provided with all the details they need including my wife’s name, role, and department along with the previous appeal that was upheld.

Any normal company would have realised something was wrong, but not group
Nexus. They haven’t bothered to do anything, except refuse to actually check their systems. We have a screenshot of the companies own parking registration scheme listing our vehicle on it!

Their latest email states we have exhausted all appeals stages and now must pay or go to popla.

Group Nexus is a lobotomised clown show.

I have had a poor experience of this…

I have had a poor experience of this company.Firstly the barriers at Russell hall hospital were not working so you weren’t issued a ticket on entry and on exit I tried to show my disabled badge but the barriers at was broken and no one was ethereal to except it.
Secondly the only reason for our visit was that my husband was given a diagnosis of terminal cancer with less than six months to live!
How cruel a company canbe is shown by these evil people.
I was forced to pay £150 for two visits by debt collection.
I tried to contact them on their website and by phone neither of which worked!
I hope no one in their families get terminal diagnosis and have to go through this !

Scammers

My daughter got a parking charge notice for overstay in a car park (Wellington Retail Park, Waterlooville) operated by Group Nexus. The car was the location for a WeBuyAnyCar office that purchased her car. The car was in her name for all of 15-20 minutes of the visit. WeBuyAnyCar moved the car about 5 hours later when the maximum stay for the car park is 3 hours (however, she was told by WBAC that they rent 10 spaces of the car park for their business use). WBAC initially told her to appeal to Nexus (although she wasn't going to provide proof because its not her liability) and Group Nexus have rejected the appeal (I don't think they've even read the appeal as they made statements about signage being adequate). Group Nexus are a scamming company that put out bulk PCN's and don't consider the effect they are having on poor innocent people. I wonder how many people just pay the charge rather to avoid the hassle! Criminals

The App dosn't have the Location - so how can i pay?

Yet another one star review i'm afraid. In short the machine was broken and the App disn't recognise the advised location code or have the location in its list - so i couldn't pay. I tried to pay via the website but that was not possible - so i wrote an email explaining my difficulty. Whilst they did respond and their response indicated that if i paid immediately they would re-assign the date - the email was pretty blunt - and didn't address the issue of location. So i paid an elevated fee at a different location and explained that via another email. Lets hope this doesn't become a runing saga!

I would give Groupnexus negative stars…

I would give Groupnexus negative stars if it was an option. Visiting a terminally ill close relative in Nuneaton George Eliot Hospital. The Quick Response code to register a blue badge was 8 FEET ABOVE GROUND.
It says you need to register online before parking OR
SEE RECEPTION. RECEPTION WAS CLOSED WITH SIGNS SAYING "DON'T BE RUDE TO STAFF"
My dying sister in law has four daughters, and a husband, all working but making sure they are with their mum 24/7 spending time with her.
These parasites are charging them up to £20 per day eac - MONEY WHICH GOES INTO THEIR POCKETS - NOT FUNDING THAT HOSPITAL OR THE NHS.
Other members of the ANPR mafia like SABA grossed £273 million with massive profits. Parking Eye are as bad £5 million profit latest figures. S c u m b a g s is too kind a word for them

Disgraceful Company

I had a shocking experience with this company. I was fined £100 for parking in the MOT bay at Halford's for an MOT and service! Apparently, it's a frequent problem there and Halford's have to keep registering customers' cars with Nexus as 'staff cars'. And every time they do, Nexus fines the landlady of the retail park where Halford's is situated £15! Oh and don't bother trying to call Nexus to resolve this, as the threatening letter from them states clearly that they don't take appeals over the phone! But apparently that's academic, as according to the staff at said Halford's branch, they never answer the phone anyway. To be fair to said staff, they emailed Nexus to get the matter resolved, which apparently they have to do quite often. I'm told that super-efficient Nexus usually gets round to cancelling these incorrect and illegal fines within a mere... 10 days.

Total scammers

This company are total scammers. I attended Wrightington Hospital. I was not there long. I went to the payment machine to pay for my parking and the machine screen stated there was nothing to pay so I left. I then got a parking charge letter charging me £75 (£45 if I pay within 14 days). I appealed this charge because the machine said there was nothing to pay. My appeal was declined stating that if the machine would not let me pay then I should have downloaded the app and paid on there. What a joke. If the machine was saying £0.00 to pay then why would I download the app as surely that would say the same. To me, the machine was working and I took what it said as correct. This is a total scam. If the machine is giving false information then I should not be penalised. Nexus are corrupt scammers taking advantage of poorly and dying NHS patients. Shame on you.

This company is completely scam

This company is completely scam. I made the payment using their machine and received confirmation at the time, yet I still received a fine. What is even more absurd is that I provided a screenshot from my bank account showing that the payment had been processed, although it appeared a few days later due to bank processing times, and they still rejected my appeal.

Disgraceful company

Disgraceful company. I found Group Nexus parking instructions hard to follow - I think it's deliberate - there are so many words to read! A simple notice saying 'pay on exit' for example would be helpful, with clear hourly rates. Their fines are unreasonably priced and they shouldn't be getting away with ripping us off whether visiting someone in hospital or when shopping. I've had two fines, one visiting my mum in hospital in August 2024 and the other 0n 5th May this year in Broadfields, Aylesbury. We live in a country that permits these scum bags to operate - what does that tell us about the elite's attitude towards us?

A brilliant company

What a great company, led by supremely intelligent people who identified a gap in the market (‘we can charge people money, in an existing car park that we didn’t build, and we can get all that money for doing nothing). And, what’s more, we can install parking machines that don’t work properly so we can fine people whenever we feel like it. We can create on online website for people to appeal (knowing that older people struggle with the tech) and then make it really confusing for people to actually contact us to do any sort of appeal. Most people will give up, so we earn even more money. The icing on the cake is that we can charge people and fine them whenever they are seriously unwell and at their lowest ebb. Genius. If anybody visiting hospital doubts the existence of God, then they should rest assured because after dealing with Nexus they certainly know that Satan is alive and well.

Parking companies are never going to…

Parking companies are never going to get good reviews. I received a PCN for a violation at Colchester Hospital which I appealed immediately with proof of my appointment at a team which provides free parking which is recorded on a screen at checkin.

My appeal letter wasn't responded to so I received another letter so I re-sent the evidence. 28 days after the appeal letter was received by them (royal mail tracked) I receive a one sentence letter confirming the fine has been cancelled.

Thank you Nexus. You lose two stars for the lack of acknowledgement of the appeal letter and apology for threatening me with prosecution because you hadn't processed my initial letter

Scam Company lacking morals.

Visited Shrewsbury Hospital today to admit myself to A&E/Urgent Treatment. Unable to find parking after 10 minutes, I had to leave the grounds to use the Park and Ride. I had heard so many horror stories about the parking that on arrival to A&E I thought I’d check there was no payment due for the 10mins I tried to find parking, yet I owed £4 fee. Bearing in mind I have a medical condition that requires urgent treatment.

Due to the concerns of parking charges, I felt there was no option but to pay despite my car being 2 miles away in the Park and Ride.

I was then admitted to a day ward and on discharge, out of curiosity checked my registration again. Even though I had paid £4 for 10mins some 5hrs earlier, it now said I was due to pay again but £7.50. My car was still 2 miles away in the park and ride. I’ve kept all receipts, discharge letter, bus tickets etc, because I know that this company will try and scam me again by issuing a fine, let alone already trying with 2 parking charges.

BEWARE

More like zero stars! Worst Mickey Mouse company I have had the misfortune of having to waste my time dealing with. Over stayed slightly in a motorway service station in Cumbria. Fine issued via post which I paid £60 immediately on the day I received the fine, accepted I had stayed over the allotted time which was free (my fault) Payment shows it had been taken out of my bank account by CP Plus Ltd which are Nexus Group. I even received a receipt of payment via email. Fast forward a couple of weeks later, another fine dropped through the door to the amount of £100. Immediately tried to contact the company via phone, to my surprise there are no humans actually available to speak with, just a bunch of options on an automated message to select from which are a complete waste of time, suspicious! I then email the company & tried to attach my evidence to support which was payment receipt & also bank payment to which I discover it was impossible to attach anything to the email, suspicious! I eventually get a reply from whoever to say they require reference numbers etc off the emailed receipt (time wasting) they had all the details needed as it was visible to me on documentation I had. Clearly avoiding the evidence I had provided. After all the evidence I had sent via several emails they replied with an email saying there was zero parking fines attached to my vehicle reg, basically admitting it was cleared. I asked for this to be wiped from their system so as to no longer receive anymore crap through the post issuing fines. I thought this may be the last time I have to deal with these cowboys. I then receive another email off them to say the fine was still active (even after they admitted there was no fine payable) I then received an email to say I need to appeal the fine, to which I wasted more time doing, received an email days later to say appeal had failed, what a surprise! I replied with my intentions going forward & that I would not be paying anything further, you have the evidence deal with it & then ignored any further correspondence from this joke of a company. I have since in the last few days received a debt recovery letter
with a fine of £170 to pay (last chance) & if not paid threats of bailiffs & court. I rang the debt recovery agents & as it is now been passed to them by their clients Nexus Group that there is zero they can do. I was offered to pay now or set up a payment plan for recovery of the fine, I declined & told them it will not be paid as it has already been paid once & within the time frame. I have sent yet another email to Nexus Group to remind them that I have all evidence & this will be used against them if bailiffs turn up at my property & also if it proceeds to court, unless it is cancelled, which they will not have a leg to stand on. I refuse to waste anymore time on these low life’s nor will they get another penny out of my pocket for there incompetence of TRYING to run a company which in my eyes is just another scam/fraud

The company fined us £60 for parking…

The company fined us £60 for parking without paying but, before we left the car, we looked for a display board. There were none (outside Buzz bingo in Barnsley) so, when we got the fine, we appealed. We told them that we would like photos of the signs but none were forthcoming. We, therefore, then tried to pay online but this was not possible so we rang the automated teller. She asked for the reference number on the letter and I typed them in and I could see the numbers were correct on my phone but she repeatedly said INVALID! Eventually she accepted and then she told me the number on my debit card was incorrect when, once again, I could see the numbers WERE correct. Eventually I ran out of credit and posted them a cheque only for this to be returned a week later saying it was sent to the wrong address. I then received a letter saying I owed them £100 as my early payment credit had expired! It’s all a SCAM!!!

After my visit to hospital

After my visit to hospital, I was sedated and nurse walked me to the car to speak to my partner. She reminded me to pay for the parking which I did but received noticed few weeks later anyway. This has been cancelled after showing a receipt but it was clear attempted fraud.

Faulty payment machines and unfair charge handling

I attempted to pay for parking using multiple on-site machines, all of which failed to function correctly. In at least one case, the machine indicated that payment had been processed, which reasonably led me to believe I had complied with the requirements.

Despite providing this information, my appeal was rejected without properly addressing the issue of faulty equipment. I was instead told to use an alternative payment method via an app, which was neither clearly communicated nor helpful at the time given the circumstances.

This raises concerns about the maintenance of payment systems and the fairness of enforcement practices. Drivers should not be penalised when reasonable attempts to pay are made, especially when the operator’s own infrastructure is unreliable.

Very disappointing experience overall.
