Beautiful building from the outside, but the experience inside was a massive disappointment. For the price they charge, the rooms are tired and the carpets are stained—it certainly doesn't feel like a luxury stay.
​To any couples planning a wedding: go to Ireland instead. For the same money, you’ll get far better food and drink packages, and more importantly, actual service—which this place completely lacks.
​We were guests for a wedding and overslept checkout by just 25 minutes. I was berated at my door by the wedding planner, Faye, while I was still in a towel. She was aggressive and interrogative, even questioning why my husband was helping with my clothes. After spending £350 on a room and over £500 at the bar, being shouted at while undressed is unacceptable. Between the hostile staff and the steep, difficult stairs to the top floor (no lift), the 'grandeur' isn't worth the hassle. Save your money and go somewhere that values its guests

Overall, we had a fantastic wedding day at Gosfield Hall. One of the best days of our lives. The venue is absolutely stunning, with exquisite rooms, exceptional food, and a real “wow” factor that impresses from start to finish. Our wedding planner Faye was superb, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process.

That said, there are a few points to consider, that would of made this a 5 star experience for us,
• MC support: Our planner was excellent, but is not a master of ceremonies. At times during the day, for example, in the banqueting hall after the ceremony or in the courtyard during drinks, guests were left without direction or introductions. Having a dedicated MC could really enhance the experience for us personally.
• Music & entertainment limitations: The lack of a full music licence is a significant constraint. Amplified music is only permitted in a small party room, which means during the drinks reception, dinner, or outdoor parts of the day, music has to be acoustic, this makes it difficult to have singers, bands, and even limits you playing background music in other areas throughout your day. We didn’t realise until after we had booked. Also no seating in the party room means it’s hard to focus guests in this space and breaks up the party atmosphere.

In conclusion, Gosfield Hall delivers a beautiful and memorable venue with outstanding food and rooms and ambiance. our day was truly special, and we have wonderful memories. Thank you.

As a guest at a wedding I was reminded how hard staff at this venue work to make the day seamless ... it just happens. Nothing was too much trouble. Yes, the building is old and some of it need attention but that is a small price to pay to enjoy the venue and ground.
I'd book again in a heartbeat. Thank you to all staff, especially Ellie.

While attending a wedding i was shown through a single door by the staff behind other people single file. I wasn't warned there was a metal grate on the outside that the gravel had worn away from. Leaving gaps that my heels got stuck and I fell and shattered my leg so badly that I had to have a rod and screws fitted in an operation. The venue never asked after me. They never phoned to see how it happened or ask how they could have avoided such a traumatic incident. They just refused to compensate my injuries. Not even a bunch of flowers. The grate was dangerous and should have been kept filled with gravel and maintained. The staff lied about how I got the injury and I am left to suffer pain for the rest of my life. A big company like that should have more compassion for someone who attended their premises and sustained a nasty life changing injury. I will tell anyone that I know to avoid it at all costs . To treat me with such contempt and ignorance was most upsetting .

I recently had the privilege of photographing a wedding at Gosfield Hall, and I have to say, it was an exceptional experience. The venue is part of the Country House Weddings Ltd family, a family-owned and run wedding venue group that has collectively held over 10,000 weddings in its four exclusive-use venues.

The level of professionalism and dedication to creating the perfect wedding experience was evident from start to finish. The chairman and founder, Harry Bramer, still presides over the business today and with the help and support of his family and an accomplished team, all of whom are dedicated to one thing: your perfect wedding.

As a wedding photographer, I was impressed by the attention to detail and the effort put into ensuring that every aspect of the day was perfect. From the grand and elegant ballroom to the beautifully manicured gardens, every aspect of Gosfield Hall was designed to provide a truly unforgettable experience.

I particularly appreciated the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the venue. The staff were always on hand to answer any questions or help with anything we needed, and their kindness and professionalism made the day even more special.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend Gosfield Hall to anyone looking for a truly exceptional wedding venue.
