We were looking for a really good pair of walking boots for Gold DofE. Emily couldn’t have been more helpful, bringing several types to try. To be truthful, because her service was so good, I was happy to buy the boots in store, even though I could have got them cheaper elsewhere.

Stu was very helpful in store. My discount card ran out, so Stu renewed first. Very clean and well laid out store, easy access.

The saff member Emily provided excellent customer service very polite and friendly with no pressure at all with the 2 products that we bought because the price was very competitive . COULD NOT FAULT THE SHOP AND STAFF AT ALL

The small mighty shop with a wonderful big heart. I went in needing some replacement boots for my other hiking boots that I use for work and it had to have specific abilities to make the day's use comfortable and durable and Stuart and his fantastic colleague have given very powerful advice on making sure I chose the right product for my needs. Stuart and his team were also happy and positive which is so important in today's sad times. I look forward to doing further business with this store and team in the future.

Went into York city centre shop today to get a cabin luggage sized back pack. Daniel was really helpful, got out a tape measure to check bag dimensions, discussed pros and cons of various bags…He was professional and friendly without being pushy. Definitely a great asset to your team

After being left to browse, Stu W came across immediately when I looked for help. His advice was sound, delivered without any sales pressure. He was then efficient in sorting out my DofE leader discount.

Popped in to buy some hiking boot laces, thats exactly what I got. Staff member who assisted me was knowlegable and great sense of humour. Unlike other shops he didn't bombard me with lots of nonsense talk and sales person tactics. A good honest person with a no nonsense attitude which has encouraged me to revisit this store for some of my more exciting hiking purchases. Onwards and upwards. Thank you 5⭐️

We were on a city break. And I had forgotten to pack a belt. So popped in to the store and I asked the 1st member of staff i saw about belts. She had an armfull of stock. But showed me the rack. With a smile.

A lovely young lady called Chiara helped us find a coat in the sale to fit which was a bargain and took the sting out of buying a coat a month after buying my son a winter coat. We used the DoE card and saved 10% on what was already a great price. Thank you Chiara for saving the day 🙏

It may be a small shop but the staff make up for that, full of knowledge and experience and will help you to the best of their abilities

I went in on Thursday looking for a black friday offer only wanting some cheap waterproof walking shoe the staff explained only do full sizes as I am 8.5 that all shoes fit differently as I already knew, I was happy with the cheaper shoes than I tried a more expensive pair and found they fit so much better and went with them the member of staff was very helpful and patient which I am very grateful thanks for a great service 5*****
