I was looking to buy mountain walking boots and the staff were very helpful. Denise and Belle gave really helpful advice about the boot fitting.
Very impressed by the friendly staff and service.

Very helpful and informed staff.
Dani spent a long time helping me with walking shoes and was knew a lot about them.
Matt was helpful with an exchange.

Ashley was very helpful regarding my return.

Emma in the shoe department was so helpful and knowledgeable, and super patient while I tried on lots of shoes. She helped cater to my many requirements and I came away with a great pair of walking shoes, thank you Emma.

Ashley in the shoe department is an asset to your store. Great service and advice. No pressure came away with my new hiking shoes. A very happy customer !

Great experience yesterday afternoon all staff members very helpful especially Dani and Eve. Dani was very knowledgeable regarding women's walking shoes and boots. She willingly spent several trips back and forth to the stock room trying to help me get the correct style and fit. Well done.

Ashley was very knowledgeable and gave me time to weigh up options without being pushy. Really nice guy and enjoying the hiking boots.

Excellent experience at Go Outdoors, Ipswich today. Staff were willing to listen to me when returning a pair of ladies walking/hiking boots and asked polite yet "probing" questions regarding my usage in order to understand why the boots had, in my opinion, not held up very well.
They literally went that extra mile and, in the end, were willing to exchange my boots for another pair (like for like) or discount the original cost towards any other pair of hiking boots.
I was extremely pleased with the help given to me by Celeste, Matt and indeed Wayne and would like to thank them in this review.

Denise was very helpful in helping me to select my new walking boots today. She was very professional and gave very good advice regarding the style and size I needed.
Her colleague Matt was also very professional and polite at the checkout.

Staff at the Ipswich store were as usual fantastic Matt on the tills always provides an excellent service with the personal touch.
However the online offering is still woefully bad, with orders being cancelled yet again despite items which were previously out of stock being made available again only to have the order cancelled repeatedly.
Nice to have in store collection reinstated as a delivery option. It’s nice to finish on something positive which I’ve not been able to do recently.

I had somewhat of a hellish experience with the Go Outdoors new website upgrade, input address system, and membership number migration.

It took me over 4 hours to try and order a product online, with even my bank rejecting the only transaction that was approved.

After countless phone calls to customer services, I was advised to go in-store to order this product (that was only available online) at an in-shop kiosk.

This is what I did the very next day, only to find out that the kiosk had been removed and customer services had been giving so much misinformation, regarding kiosk access and stock that this branch had been inundated with a steady stream of disgruntled customers, hourly, for the past month and a half.

Despite my dismay at GO Outdoors' senior decision-making and how their lack of UX (user experience) consideration may be costing them thousands in resources, while losing them previous return clients; the in-house staff were completely amazing.

Laura & Owen calmly explain the situation, giving context and compassion while trying to find alternative solutions.

Not only was it not possible to buy the item in store, but it wasn't even in stock. They searched their store rooms for a suitable replacement item, with a discount to compensate for my troubles.

Their authentic kindness, compassion and exasperation for the situation were really quite moving. I felt heard and understood, and quite upset for them for having to be constantly on the front line of receiving outbursts from angry and frustrated customers, for misinformation and circumstances beyond their control.

I was close to cancelling my membership that day, but both Laura and Owen reminded me of the joy of interacting with humans who put intentional time and effort into the experience of others.

Although I will not be using the Go Outdoors website ever again, I will be going back to the Ipswich store in person.

Deeply grateful for Laura and Owen's genuine customer service and for being a rainbow in someone else's cloud.

Denise assisted me in choosing a pair of walking boots and was very knowledgeable on the brands and how to look after them. Also store colleagues, Matt and Roxie, great, natural service on tills.

I found the perfect pair of walking shoes thanks to Celeste. She was a cheerful and friendly young lady who was very knowledgeable about the shoes/boots in the store. I shall certainly be coming back again.
I also found Nicole on the tills friendly.

Aiesha was really helpful with finding me the right walking boots.

We were buying items for D Of E and a member of staff called Ashley was very helpful.

After visiting various other shoe outlets went to Go Outdoors (Ipswich) after a few minuets of looking at walking shoes a member of staff (Emma) ask if we needed help,I accepted the offer, she was very knowledgeable about the different characteristics of the shoes, we found the perfect pair in the right size.
