One of the Worst Retail Experiences – Misleading Pricing & Rude Service

Went to Goman Mississauga to buy an LG range (LSIL6334XE). Their big sign says “We match prices.” Reality: they don’t.

I showed the salesperson Goman’s own website listing the model for $1,999. Instead of honoring it, he claimed it was an “old model,” pushed a pricier one, and said mine “might not be in stock.” Only when I was about to leave did he check—and suddenly there was a shipment coming.

When he finally started the order, he quoted $2,100. I showed him the exact Goman web page again. He said he “couldn’t find it,” and I literally had to guide him through their own website. After talking to the manager, he agreed to match the $1,999.

Then I showed him Home Depot’s $1,895 price. His response: “Grab it.” Incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Told the manager. He brushed it off as a “wrong model” mistake—completely false, since the salesperson had already confirmed the correct model. Manager said they’d match Home Depot, but wanted $199 + tax for delivery/removal, which Home Depot includes.

I walked out and bought it at Home Depot.
Misleading price-match promise, evasive behaviour, and disrespectful service. Definitely not going back.

Read the fine print!

I've been here before! I purchased a dryer from Goemans July 2024. When it arrived at my home it did not work. I asked for a replacement and they told me to read the fine print in the contract and proceeded to send in a repair company. Unbelievable! Who thought that I would get a repaired appliance after purchasing a new one. It is now October 2025 and I have just called for service on the same appliance with the same problem. Please be aware and read the fine print!

If I could give them a 0 star I would

If I could give them a 0 star I would. Disaster from start to finish. We ordered everything a year ago and we got 1 delivered late, 1 a big dent on it which is taking forever well over a week to get us a new one, fridge and freezer both came in with defects and that’s been taking over a week. No one is helping they are just “going to follow up and call back” which takes days. Horrible experience.

Update on my previous review

Update on my previous review. I reached out to the email address provided and still no repair appointment. So it's all just for show and Goemans does not respond to their community manager @goemans.com as they promised. I am so fed up with this company they do not reply or respond. Stay away!!! If I can save one customer the headaches I am having with this BRAND NEW appliance it is worth writing this review.
5/20/2025 called Goemans CS and they did not do a ticket for my dishwasher repair. Now I have to wait 48 hours for an email to be sent to me to send them a photo of my serial number and model so they can now set up a repair on my NEW dishwasher. It has been over 2 weeks that I have been dealing with Goemans and no repair no replacement this is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received in my lifetime. I thought it couldn't get worse but it is turning into an absolute nightmare! I have asked for a supervisor to call me back but I am not holding my breath. Somehow my original post was deleted!!! Nice

NEVER buy from Goemans

NEVER buy from Goemans. I just paid a fortune for all my appliances and when I tried to use my Bosch dishwasher it kept beeping and has an error. I called Bosch they told me to call Goemans for a replacement and I found out they have a ZERO return policy so I cannot even return it and choose a different model!!!!! Oh it gets better, they are not listed with the BBB. So now I have to wait a week or more for a service technician to come out and repair a brand new dishwasher. I should be able to return an appliance that is defective. VERY unhappy and will NEVER buy anything from this company again. Biggest mistake was not to check return policy. Now I am stuck with this.

‼️DON’T BUY WITH GOEMANS‼️

I bought a Samsung Dishwasher just 2 years ago and now the dishwasher is not working anymore. The Samsung Technician came over to check the dishwasher, and found that the person who came to install our dishwasher completely messed up the installation. The technician said that whoever installed the dishwasher had messed up the installation and damaged the dishwasher’s main tub and caused leakage all over the circuit board throughout our time of using it. The dishwasher has got damaged with the wiring, the motor and main board… due to the poor installation. I tried to call the Goemans customer service and I was told nothing can be done or help! I was very disappointed with their irresponsible response and poor customer service and I feel so helpless and shocked that I have to buy another dishwasher in just 2 years, my old GE dishwasher had been use for 10 years, I do not expect the new Samsung can only be used for 2 years only because of the poor installation by Goemans. And the customer service is such irresponsible and poor. I shall share this bad experience to all the people I know and on all social platforms so no other victim will have same terrible experience as I did.

Salesperson showed me A LG Dryer with…

Salesperson showed me A LG Dryer with the side vents, placed the order including extra money for side vent installation. It was delivered without the provision for the side vent as verified by their delivery installer. Called Goeman Service department with no resolution. I had similar experience when I purchased fridge 2 years earlier. Very unprofessional people at Goemans.

Stay clear of Goemans and GE

We purchased a very expensive GE Monogram panel ready fridge. It frosted up. 4 different repair teams came out, no one could repair it. It was determined we needed a replacement fridge. Our original model was discontinued, therefore had to go with a different model. At our expense we had to purchase new panels. The replacement fridge was delivered however the delivery guys were unable to uninstall the old fridge and install the new. GE should have arranged for the uninstall, new install. We were not aware of any of this. We called Elly our sales person at Goemans and she did not know of our issues as the repair teams did not send her their reports. She had someone call us to tell us we had to call GE directly. Completely unacceptable. We are also going to have to pay our contractor to fix the area so the new fridge can fit. Highly disappointed in both Goemans and GE.

I recently bought a $2000 fridge at…

I recently bought a $2000 fridge at Goeman's Mississauga. Worst experience I ever had in my life. Once you pay and leave the store they never want to hear from you. They contract out the delivery and after sales service to a joke of a company called TG APPLIANCE GROUP. The delivery men are aggressive, mean and non compliant. Communication lines are blocked by an office administrator who should be fired, Amanda and Jodi in particular.They do not respond by phone or email. Goemans is just very well marketed and is a sales machine. If you have a problem, they do not assist at all. I had to call the manufacturer in Mexico and try to resolve the problem myself. It has been 3 months with no fridge or freezer and Goeman's or TG APPLIANCE GROUP has not tried to resolve the matter.

How to lose a repeat customer! Disgraceful!

We bought a new stackable washer/dryer for our upstairs laundry. The installers broke a pipe in the wall when tightening the connection. We called immediately to say there was water dripping and damaging the kitchen ceiling below. A second installer came and tightened the connection which just made the problem worse. We've had to turn off the water to the machine and haven't been able to use it at all. Goemans offered "as a courtesy" to move the machines out of the way so a plumber could come in and fix the pipe (at our expense) and then come back to reinstall (at our expense!!!). No offer to repair the damage to our kitchen ceiling. Meanwhile, it's been 2 weeks of runaround and we still have no working washing machine. Absolutely disgraceful way to run a business!

Poor after sales service

We purchased a Fisher and Paykel fridge and upon delivery, a part (collet clip) was missing for the waterline to the fridge.
Was advised to phone customer service, and after waiting half an hour on the phone left a call back number for them to return the call (as suggested in the recording). To date we have not received a phone call.
Phoned customer service a few days later, advised them of the missing part, and was told someone would be in contact within two days.... still have not received a call.
Sent an email to customer service, received a email response two days later stating that someone would be in touch...still no one has contacted us.
Seems that the company just wants to sell product and not service or even respond to concerns about the product..... this concern is simple...just deliver the missing part.
Would suggests that folks go to a different appliance store for their needs as concerns fall on deaf ears and the company has little regard for it's customers

Go to Goemans for mansplaining and ridicule

Stopped in to see if Goemans in London carried a specific laundry detergent that I had purchased at a different appliance store. Having forgotten the name, I tried to describe the detergent. The salesman must have immediately recognized the detergent because instead of giving the simple yes or no response as to whether I could purchase the detergent, I was given a lecture on laundry detergent based on his 15 years of experience selling washers. That’s right, I got mansplained laundry detergent by some old guy who sells washers. I guess my 40 some odd years of washing my large family’s clothes and having developed a personal preference for detergent are meaningless. I just walked away and could hear him loudly putting me down for being silly and ridiculous for wanting to only purchase the detergent that I want instead of bowing down to his superiority. No, no, no to Goemans. Never again.

I'm very happy with my purchase.

I bought a Danby upright freezer from Goemans online. The model I wanted wasn't in the store near me to look at in person. I just went ahead anyways and got it because it was exactly what I was looking for. It was on sale as well and cheaper than a couple of other sites I saw it on.
It took less than two weeks to come in and I was called right away to arrange delivery, which I got in 2 days. Delivery was a separate fee, which I get though. The freezer was unpacked and set in place and for a small extra fee (I think it was 10 or 20 bucks or something small), the guys took away my broken, old chest freezer. They got rid of all the packaging too. Very nice guys. It was a great experience and will definitely check Goemans out again should the need arise. Thank you.

Extremely disappointed with your…

Extremely disappointed with your Electrolux wall oven. I spent close to 20k on appliances for my kitchen..........big mistake!!!

4 months into using them the finish on my wall oven is coming off because of the heat the oven produces and lets out in the middle of the appliance, Goemans offered me $100 to go away but I will never buy Electrolux products again or anything from Goemans. You guys need to stand behind the product you sell. The oven lets heat out of the middle of the appliance, the finish came off the wall oven, that is not under my control, your product is flawed. What a shame, asking people to spend their hard earned money for quality appliances yet not standing behind their products, lesson learned. #goemans #Electrolux

We ordered appliances a year ago in…

We ordered appliances a year ago in 2021 to go into our new home. When we ordered they assured us there would be no problem having them in time by our move in date. We call to have them delivered a few months before our move in date and come to find out they don't have any of our appliances that we ordered. We got directed to the "customer service" department and what a nightmare they have been. No one is able to tell us when any of the appliances can be expected to be in stock or delivered. After several calls and complaints they finally give us an idea of August and September but none of the appliances will arrive together so they attempted to charge us separate delivery fees which are $700 each. So far we still have no fridge, dishwasher, or oven. This has been the worst business I have ever delt with and I would not recommend purchasing anything from here. The customer service is terrible, they are rude on the phone, try to charge extra fees, very disorganized and not a good experience. When asked why they are delayed they blame the pandemic, supply chain or the manufacturer. Yet when I contact the manufacturer directly they say there are no problems with manufacturing and they say the appliance models I have ordered are being shipped out to stores in batches and they are puzzled as to why it would ever take 18 months to get a refrigerator. This company should be reported for taking people's money knowing that the product is unavailable.
