Not fit for purpose. I'm one of 10000s damaged by dodgy high street companies selling lens replacement (Optical Express). GMC is well aware of the harm these people cause, but do nothing...more concerned with protecting their own than patients and upholding professional standards. Shameful.

The fact that even a Doctor's review confirms the GMC is a scam! I had reported my GP to the GMC a week before Police thugs beat and injured me out of my supported flat and al night in A&E on my Birthday in the MOST HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE TO DATE bar the most recent ones; they did the same on our world famous suicide spot after I received news my Father had died from Barwells a month earlier. This is extremely serious as I have a Survivor's story. I was locked out of my flat in March in the freezing cold in my nightwear. The Lansdowne Hotel Manager intervened (now in prison for fraud as seen on the local ITV news.) The corruption is RIFE and my Lighthouse Practice GP surgery had placed me in that flat. The vile GP even text me to say I spent 4 hours with a Doctor who has is now retired! THEY DID NOTHING. I need a lawyer. I have just put up a review about Lawstop who went onto fail with further Police corruption and homelessness and I am currently in the process of putting a Landlady in prison BUT STILL the Council and MP is not doing as the DISTRICT JUDGE INSTRUCTED; I AM ILLEGALLY HOMELESS AND ON SEVERE DISABILTY BUT THERE ARE OTHER HORRIFIC details I cannot post. I am seeking a Lawyer. I now need to add my review about the Legal Ombudsman. ALL the ombudsmans are scams and have failed me severely. The date of this experience was February and March in 2023 but it has taken a long time to post these reviews because of the mental and physical exhaustion.

The fact that people are scared to go to the doctors today - that doctors no longer shy away from any ethical code's breaches - that people are dying because of doctors' irresponsibility... That is also the personal responsibility of the GMC and its CEO.
This organisation is completely unfit to govern,rule the british medical community. The GMC's ethical codes are like toilet paper for the UK medical doctors -...they may use it a such way..., because the GMC does not apply any liability to enforce its own rules , does not discipline the medical doctors for the ethical' , the professional' and the legal' rules' breaches .
In fact, GMC corruptly covers up it .It is much more works as such medical maffia

A team of inept liars. They have absolutely nothing to do with medicine and should stop misrepresenting themselves as such.
As a supposed charity they should be ashamed that they are taking peoples money for the garbage service that they provide.

Nothing short than an over paid company full of enablers, who allow dangerous surgeons to continue harming and abusing people. Many surgeons have been reported to them where they continue to tell the victims that the surgeons did nothing wrong when the person was at deaths door from punctured lungs infections necrosis and the usual problems that they mostly encounter with the same surgeons. If drilling into your brain is OK and nearly killing you with other neglectful and dangerous sruger is OK, then this organisation needs a thorough investigation as they are not fit for purpose as we all know. A massive operation employing hundreds of staff whos only role is to enable surgeons to continue harming. They are an utter disgrace and I hope the same happens to one of their loved ones.

These vile and disgusting people are being paid by its members and therefor it is clearly obvious they are only supporting the members and not the victims.

I had a very personally distressing matter placed with them. I can only echo the overwhelming amount of comments about how unfit for purpose they are. All of the sewer ...... CQC, PHSO and this lot have well deserved appalling ratings. Apparently it's OK to give a controlled drug over the phone without any medical history or proper
prescribing which was
prescribed for someone else and out of date. Made me ill for a week but the GMC say it's OK. Tip of the ice burgh. Shameful. They need abolishing.

This organization is wholly unfit for purpose. I made a serious allegation against a Doctor which includes multiple human rights abuses, accessory to kidnaps, falsifying diagnoses for the purpose of keeping the patients as prisoners and also placating individuals that were funding terrorism.

The GMC have done absolutely nothing for a year apart from palm me off to the police. The Doctor in question has been allowed to continue to practice medicine.

No one ever replies to my calls or my emails. The government need to step in and completely overhaul and regulate this organisation.

Why do you 4.4 when the public reviews are 0 propaganda,you have become obsolete

They are corrupt as the rest of the organisations the British public ate left defenceless against. In their opinions they find it acceptable for GPs to be discriminatory against patience. Insult them & LIE!! further lying to 999 services. Despite recordered calls & documentation of this & the facts a GP delibrately giving false information on a patients diagnosis could lead to them being given incorrect treatment if they're not conscious to show the Ambulance crew this on arrival. Thus leaving a patient open to deadly consequences. Shows the GMC are immoral & illegally wrong & considering I've just read they revieve monthly debits from doctors this explains a lot on why they are disgustingly allowing GPs to get away with malpractice. Even leading to death in some patients. The public needs to take a stand & have all these institutions shut down from the very top. They're nothing more than Cartels.
They totally ignore blatant evidence. Recorded calls , Hospital documents etc & will do anything to still push the agenda the GP did nothing wrong. Serious prison time needs to start being given out for this corruption. Or the people need to revolt. Because enough is enough in this corrupt country

A doctor ruined my life after reaching out and asking for help. I put on medication and had my license revoked, after complaining nothing happened.

These people are not interested, and it shows. Just read the reviews, we all know the score. They ain't even hiding it anymore

These lowlifes are not fit for purpose as they are bias and get paid via the tax payer to investigate complaints impartially.. when they are clearly bias.. this organisation is what you call a sophisticated money laundering tax payers money operation.. as GMC is only good for stealing tax payers money whilst they pretend to investigate complaints… no wonder the UK is going down the toilet when public/civil servants set up organisations like these to only steal tax payers money.. because it has no other purpose.

I will never send another complaint to them as this way they cannot steal tax payers money via the complaint procedure. I advise everyone the same as the people who work for GMC are criminals committing fraud, money laundering and misconduct in public office which are serious crimes… you heard of the saying daylight robbery but these organisations are actually implementing this theory by stealing our tax money.

The GMC, I was thinking about writing to the GMC, but after reading people's reviews, I decided, what's the point? I could write to my GP and make a complaint, but what is the point of that, they always try to 'talk themselves out of any 'wrong-doing', same with the NHS, if you speak to any complaints body you never get any satisfactory response. Its a sad depressing UK which has become just as corrupt as the rest of the world out there. There is no honestly or integrity in any organisations in the UK. The UK has become just as corrupt as countries that people think are the worst corrupted countries. The UK has become just as corrupted by ignoring peoples complaints about GPs malpractice and the NHS.

Unfortunately, the practice partner's at our GP surgery repeatedly misdiagnosed my late wife's symptoms of stomach and abdominal pains as indigestion and placed her on Omeprazole to reduce the amount and strength of stomach acids. They did this for 8 months without review. Despite ongoing stomach and abdominal problems, nothing was done other than to tell her it was nothing to worry about and there weren't enough symptoms for it to be a concern. Records reveal that my wife was also encouraged to diagnose herself. A trainee locum saw my wife nearly 9 months later and immediately recognised these as RED FLAG CANCER symptoms, she took full bloods which revealed a CA125 marker 3 times higher than normal. Despite the locum's best efforts, (she did everything she could to recover the situation) sadly it was too late and my wife died 20 weeks later of stomach cancer. The practice have since deleted 50% of the Omeprazole drug (controlling the acids and allowing my wife to function on a daily basis) to show an intermittent use of the drug in which they claim she could go several weeks at a time without suffering pains which would incapacitate her within hours if she missed just one dose! Witnessed and questioned by me. The intermittent use of the drug has now been used to support their claim they couldn't possibly have known about the cancer sooner. Just to be extra certain, they deleted my wife's family history of cancer too (father died of cancer) after the life insurance had paid out. Tampering with a deceased's patient records is a criminal offence under the COMPUTER MISUSE ACT 1990. Subsequently, the GMC found that the practice partner involved in my wife's 'care' had done nothing wrong by declining to tell her she was dying, (duty of candour?) preferring instead to hand me a DS1500 form recording the hand written words "palliative care" therein before showing us the surgery door. (I had no idea, but the DS 1500 is an expenses claim form for the terminally ill). Everything went blurred and I think I went into shock. I said nothing to my wife about what I had read or what the Dr had done to us. After my wife died, I contacted the surgery to ask why the partner had behaved in such a way towards us. She denied it, saying I was mistaken and must have been in shock. Unfortunately for the practice partner, the oncologist wrote to her advising her of my wife's reaction at being told she was dying and it was too late to do anything. The partner continued to deny her lack of candour, until confronted with the evidence at which point, with the assistance of her legal team she crafted a letter with an excuse that it "was an act of compassion" to not tell my wife "in case a cure could have been found the following day" (the oncologist appointment date).
I have empathy with those that have to deliver messages like this but like most reasonable people I do not appreciate being lied to and subjected falsehood. I was so disgusted I referred the matter of record tampering (Criminal offences) to the GMC who tell me it is not a matter for them to investigate and I should take it up with the police! The refusal to be candid with my wife and lying to me was also referred. The GMC response to this was there were no issues to be concerned with as it was the GP's word against mine. I mentioned the small matter of the rather cross oncologist who wrote to the awful GP but that didn't change things. Documentary evidence of an oncologist would appear to be insufficient to these people! I am used to dealing with dishonesty, falsehood, fraud record tampering etc. but never dreamt that I would be issuing warnings to the public to beware of medical Dr's and their supporting organisations. I won't allow my 3 children to go to any surgery alone and have encouraged them to record and document any dealings they have with the medical profession. A pity as I worked with many good police surgeons over the years. GMC shame on you - Tim Ward Police Sergeant (retired)
