Quality is good, longer wait than others

I should have looked up reviews before buying. The following is 100% my experience: "Negative: Several customers experienced delays in shipping, with some reporting that items appeared "in stock" but were backordered after purchase."
April 1 I'm still waiting. they give no updates and don't inform you they are backordered until you contact them because it's taking so long and you wonder if you got ripped off.
Update: I'm happy with the end product. Ordered March 17, received April 11. Quality is good as long as you understand going in that it may take a while. I suspect they are a drop shipper, but have no proof. There was a letter in package that says the Persol frames were manufactured in China(but that should be Italy as stated on arm-i believe this relates more to tariffs than the actual eyeglasses), and lens installed at optical lab in Toronto, Canada. Possibly from comfyeyewear.com , or it is the same company with another name.
Again, not a problem, but this all isn't clear on their website

misleading price information

The website is misleading. The lower price is crossed out, while the higher price is shown in bright red and is meant to be a sale. For example old Price $175.00 sale Price $273.00 Anyone who wants to shop here should think carefully about it.

Sent clown glasses

I purchased a pair of glasses from this site that seemed a bit stretched out but they were okay for the price. I purchased a second that were a joke. Half the pattern on the glasses was dark/light. The other was missing tint in a full section under my eye and up towards my eye. I have never even seen glasses close to this mess I was sent. Since I had tried this style on twice - once in a store and once in a larger size in person - I knew exactly how the glasses should look. I sent a photo of my lopsided frames to the site. There was no apology for lack of quality control. These were obviously returns that would never actually sell to anyone. "Not our problem,"I was told. You'll have to pay for restocking. We sell what we are handed. I have purchased from four other online frame websites with no issue. This site sends clown glasses that are obviously rejects. Beware! You will be horrified.

Love my new glasses

saw some mixed reviews about GlassesOnWeb, but I still decided to give them a chance and order my glasses. Overall, I had a great experience and the price was excellent—much cheaper than other places.

From the day I ordered (February 27) to the day I received them (March 11), it took about 12 days total. They show the progress of your order, and I noticed my glasses were in the lab getting the lenses put in for a few days. I called to check on the status, and they told me the lenses were still being put in.

However, the very next day I received a notification that my glasses had been shipped out. So my guess is they may not have realized the order was already ready to go until I called and they checked on it.

Other than that, everything was smooth. The glasses look great and the price is hard to beat. I would definitely recommend them if you’re looking for affordable glasses online

Horrible experience

Horrible experience, I ordered glasses thinking it might be fast delivery. I waited 3 days before I contacted them wondering why there was no status update on my order. I contacted them, was told the frames are on back order, 10-15 days.
14 days later I contacted them, only to be told they are on back order indefinitely. Now the frames are $100 more for a different color. I've been wearing busted frames for almost a month, I feel ridiculous.
So i canceled my order. Terrible experience.

I ordered a pair of Versace eyeglasses…

I ordered a pair of Versace eyeglasses from my optical store in Toronto; I decided to check comparable online pricing. I found the same Versace frames for half the price at Glassesonweb.ca. I placed my order in the basket, then our internet went down :( GOW honoured the sale price without hesitation. I cancelled my initial order with my optician and bought the same frames from GOW. The pricing was substantially different: Optician price $444, GOW price $220. The frames were identical and came with the authentic Versace box and LUXXOR card. The customer service at GOW was exceptional; delivery took about 2 weeks, but in all fairness, we had a massive winter storm hit Toronto. Next time, I will order my eyeframes and lenses from GOW. Delivery was made by Dragonfly, who emailed regular updates - the driver even called to let me know he had arrived onsite with my package. My own experience with GOW and their customer service was fantastic from the get-go. And I LOVE my new frames, they are perfect. Thank you, GOW!

Ugly experience in buying frames of…

Ugly experience in buying frames of Persol OP 3189V Havana form this, mostly likely fraudulent.
Paid the order a month ago, the item wasn’t in stock, waited for a week. Shipment was made by Intelcom instead of UPS Ground (as stated on the company’s site). As result the order wasn’t delivered . Pictures of the house main entrance was provided to courier and sales. During a month saler round around to involve us into relationships with courier company to make a full refund. They asked to wait until the courier will refund them. Still nothing until the case claimed to Police.
Attention to customers: Plse, do read it carefully to avoid financial problems buying from this company. Hope, it will help.

Stay away

Stay away. Ordered glasses a month ago. They still haven't been "made" yet. Let alone shipped. Sent multiple emails. Now that I want to cancel. They are not returning emails. Trust the reviews.

Order not delivered – company refuses refund!!!!STAY AWAY!!!

We ordered eyeglasses from GlassesOnWeb and never received our shipment.
Despite clear proof that the package was lost in transit, the company refused to issue a refund or replacement. They told us to dispute with the bank! Communication was evasive and unhelpful, and responsibility was pushed back!
This raises serious concerns about their business practices, customer protection policies, and compliance with consumer laws.
I strongly advise consumers to avoid purchasing from them.

Your custom prescription eyeglasses were completed and shipped as ordered. Unfortunately, the carrier confirmed that the package was lost in transit. When this occurred, a credit card dispute was opened through your bank. Once a dispute is initiated, we are legally unable to issue a separate refund or replacement until the bank completes its investigation, as doing so could result in duplicate reimbursement.

The bank will determine the resolution of the claim, and once finalized, the funds are returned directly through your card issuer. This process is standard across all merchants.

We remain available to assist with any documentation your bank may require and are happy to help bring this to a fair resolution.

the glasses i ordered were a correct pair. They were discounted at a good price. They came and it was the correct pair and it took the time as was advertised on my order tracker, will buy in the future as well

Company will not replace frames under warranty!

Purchased frames from them, they were under warranty for a year, wore them about 5 times then they broke. They would not replace them and made up reasons they broke, they also claimed the manufacturer would not replace them. Do not buy from them, they just make excuses as to why the will not back a product they are selling that was under warranty!

The damage occurred during the lens installation process, which was performed by a third-party optician or through a self-installation attempt. When frames break during lens fitting, this falls outside of manufacturer warranty coverage, as the warranty covers manufacturing defects and normal wear—not damage that occurs during the installation process.
The lens installation technician or facility that performed the work would typically be responsible for any frames damaged during their service. We understand this is frustrating, and we're sorry you experienced this issue. We did our best to explain the warranty terms and why this particular situation wasn't covered.

International Credit Card Scam Police Have Been Contacted

I have a credit card that is used only for insurance claims and this card has only ever been used in person at pharmacys, online orders used with other cards also never include my full government name however i listed it on the order to GlassesOnWeb to claim it on my insurance after. They didnt ship out my glasses for 3 months then when I cancelled the order, one week after the cancelation that credit card that has been used online ONCE EVER with ONLY THIS BUSINESS a $1900 charge was made to apple and an order was created under my full government name. Both pieces of information used to commit fraud were a combination that only GlassesOnWeb has.

Never again glassesonweb.com

On August 19, 2025, I placed order with GlassesOnWeb.com for $230.10. At the time of purchase, the website clearly stated a delivery timeframe of 8–10 business days. However, the parcel was not even sent out until September 8, 2025, which is 13 business days later, already past the promised delivery period.

When the parcel was eventually shipped, it was returned instead of being delivered to me. I contacted GlassesOnWeb support multiple times to ask about the status of my order and to request reshipment. Unfortunately, their representatives could not provide me with clear answers. I was repeatedly told that a representative would call me back, but I never received any call.

After waiting two full weeks without being contacted, I formally requested a refund on September 26, 2025. Instead of reshipping the product or issuing a full refund, the company processed a refund while deducting a 15% restocking fee (approximately $35). This deduction is unjustified, as I was never informed of such a fee, I never accepted any restocking policy, and the failure to deliver the order was entirely due to the company’s delays and handling, not my actions.
And your response shows a total lack of professionalism- I didn’t order custom frames or whatever but just regular black sunglasses. For sure I won’t be your client anymore

Our shipping team sent the package to the address exactly as it was entered in your order. The return process through the postal system took additional time, which is standard when packages cannot be successfully delivered. During this time, while we were awaiting the return of your package and prepared to reship it with the corrected address, you requested a full refund instead.
Regarding the 15% restocking fee: Our return policy, which is available on our website and applies to all orders, includes this fee for cancelled orders where frames have been specially ordered from the manufacturer for the customer. Since your custom frames had already been purchased specifically for your order, the restocking fee was applied in accordance with our standard policy.
We understand this was not the experience you were hoping for. In the future, we encourage customers to double-check that their shipping address is complete at checkout, including apartment or unit numbers, to prevent delivery issues.

I am glad I didn’t check the reviews…

I am glad I didn’t check the reviews before placing my order. Now I feel compelled to write my own review as most (not all) negative reviews this business is getting seem to be from Amazon shoppers that don’t read other shops policies before ordering.

I ordered Oakley frames to replace mine that broke. Shipping for my order was fast (dispatched in one day, arrived 3 days later). Tracking number didn’t work at first because they did not mention which carrier they used. I emailed them and within a couple of hours they responded letting me know they had used Intelcom and all was resolved. Can’t complain about the customer service.

The product arrived on time, with perfect packaging and looking authentic anyway you look at it: frame, case, fabric bag and box. Quality is on par with other Oakley glasses I own. I installed my prescription lenses from my broken frame myself, and they fit perfectly. And I saved $80 compared to other online and physical stores.

I wouldn’t order new prescription lenses online because there’s more to it than just providing some measurements in a form, so I prefer physical stores for that. But for replacement frames and non-prescription sunglasses, you can’t beat this store. Just read the store’s policies, understand they’re the reason why they are able to sell at a discounted price, and own it if you mess it up.

Ordered a fairly expensive pair of sunglasses, and when they arrived, they were for a child. Attempted to relay my concern to replace them or order a different pair, emailed them twice through their website and received no response.
Beware, they do not care once they have your money.

Good Discount Glasses Site

I was worried, because I didn't check this site's reviews beforehand and their tracking number didn't work, but my glasses arrived pretty much on time (maybe after 8 business days instead of 8 days) and they're perfectly good glasses. And the price was excellent.
