Not a Happy Pappy. "

Last week I Was involved in an online auction for a very worthy cause. Without going in to too many details, Sat., in the closing minutes I was monitoring the auction and after a 5 minute extension, the auction indicated the item was closed and i was the highest bidder. i was ecstatic as this was a very hard-to-find item. I stayed on the site a few minutes and just couldn't believe i won. 6 minutes later I received an email indicated I was outbid. In the last 2 days, not only have a not rec'd an answer from Givergy, I've rec;d no response at all. They have my email and number, but nothing from them. They blew it and also gives the charity a Black-eye!

Great experience MotoGP Mugello

Great experience, everything ran like clockwork, we were very well looked after by Donna from Two Wheels For Life, who had also organised a surprise for the Sunday morning. It was passes for the MotoGP grid before the race.
An unbelievable experience at Mugello.

Were guests of LCR Honda. Lucio Cecchinello and his staff were fantastic.
Couldn’t have had a better weekend.
Would definitely use Givergy again.

Givergy Review

I won an auction back in September 2018 but never received the package. The event was called "Afrojack Hoody, Cap, and Shirt Signed by the Artist!" in Aid of: Unicef UK X DJ Mag.

I was so excited after winning the auction but after some time I got worried since my package had not arrived. I got in contact with Givergy back in January and they told me since the event was hosted by DJ Mag that I would need to get in contact with DJ Mag and they would be able to provide me a tracking number.

So, I got in contact with someone at DJ Mag back in January as well and told me they would check to see what happened. A month passed by so I emailed them again and said they would follow back up with me. Another month passed by so I emailed them again but no response this time. I emailed them again in April and they just said you should have received your package by now. It is now June and STILL have not received my package. I keep asking for the tracking number but they just avoid the question.

At this point, I have given up since I know that I will never receive the auction prize that I won. Worst experience that I have ever had.

UPDATE: Givergy got in contact with DJ Mag. DJ Mag got in contact with me and the Afrojack team to forward me the auction prize. Thank you Givergy team for following up. I really appreciate it.

Fantastic customer service

Fantastic customer service, nothing was too much trouble at all, I purchased a portrait and packaging was excellent no damage and exactly as stated in description.

Terrible experience.

We did an event with Givergy and it was the worst event that we’ve ever had. One of the largest issues was STAFFING. The staff were not trained well, they left early, and they were on their phones the whole time. Only one of the 4 staff they sent were helpful and had good customer service. We were promised some roaming Givergy staff during our silent auction and they were often standing around in a corner, even AFTER I asked them to help our guests.
Givergy promises to bring their hotspots in case of wifi issues, and they only had 1 laptop to use to check in over 150 guests. Needless to say, it was a disaster.

Credit card pre-swiping was not functional at all. At the end of the night, we were left manually entering each credit card number, which created a huge bottleneck for checkout. It was complete chaos and at one point I had to use my iPhone, which was awful. I still get nightmares thinking about it. After a month, I was still dealing with the fallout from people who just left and didn’t even pick up their items, including chasing down payment and having to mail auction items to guests.

Hardware issues: During the pledge time, so many tablets on the tables were not working (even with wifi working) and people who wanted to give were incredibly frustrated. Even when I was walking around the room, I saw tablets with black screens that were turned off and I repeatedly asked Givergy staff to help with the tablets, but they didn’t move and they just sat there. The whole pledge time was a disaster, and the Givergy staff did not help at all. We barely raised anything in pledges.

We estimate that the lack of customer service, initiative, and staff cost us at least $20,000-$30,000, which is something that we will never be able to recoup. I would never recommend them and I hope to spare some of you reading this review.

Givergy is a nightmare

Givergy is a nightmare. We have done several events with them*, and they have made terrible, costly mistakes each time: They've sent emails to our donors telling them they won auctions when they didn't. They told one of our bidders who the ANONYMOUS person bidding against him was. They have sent the private donor contact information for other organizations to the wrong company TWICE. They lost our checks multiple times, requiring that we cancel them and issue new ones that were mailed with tracking (this alone has cost us over $100). These are just the MAJOR problems we have had with them, there have been other, smaller issues as well. They always try to blame us for their mistakes; getting them to admit culpability is like pulling teeth. They have never offered real solutions; after spending a huge amount of money with them, the best they could do was a $500 refund. On top of all this, their platform is clunky and unattractive. Our donors have complained about difficulty bidding; one donor was so frustrated, he recommended an alternative company he had used at another charity's event. Givergy is truly awful at what they do.

Givergy has asked me to remove this review, saying they "disagree" with it. This is a perfect example of their customer service. Instead of admitting they were wrong, and trying to improve, they ignore the problem. There aren't a lot of reviews of them, and at least some of the "5-star" reviews are posted by their employees. They split their company reviews on Google by city so the bad ones for the new t York location no longer show up. This is heavily skewing their overall rating, and I think it's important that people see what they are really getting with Givergy. Another place to check out for real information about the company is Glassdoor. It's an employee review site, but you can learn a lot about the company from the reviews there. One employee notes that Givergy "constantly oversold and then left [clients] disappointed." Another stated that Givergy is "a company where everyone is blaming each other for mistakes they made." Oh how many mistakes there have been.

*The only reason we used them more than once is because they set up their own wireless network, a necessity for us. I strongly recommend you use a different company.

Do not use !

I believe I have received frudlent emails after entering the Blue Vinyl campaign. I have made a number of phone calls to Givergy to alert them of this and also to establish if I do in fact have the tickets I bought. I have been told a number of times that the person dealing with this is not in the office. I gave my number for this person to call me - they didn’t !
I was then given a number to call them, I left a message - they didn’t get back to me. They are seemingly uninterested in investigating what may be freudulant behaviour using information I have I given them. Very poor communication - totally unacceptable. I would not trust them with information or use their service.
