We had to make a claim for a relatively confined area of subsidence on our property and were assigned Wesley from GHG as our loss adjustor. He was always on hand throughout the claim process, responded rapidly to emails and was always happy to take the time to explain things in more details. Repairs are now complete, around two months ahead of the original draft schedule laid out at the start of the claim. Totally positive experience for us.

After the shock of half demolishing our garage due to a faulty electric car Matthew came out to assess the situation and was very reassuring that it could all be put right. We are delighted that this has all now happened. Regular contact was made with us to check on the progress of the works. Repayments to us were in a timely manner and the whole process has been dealt with efficiently by Matthew, Jonathan and their team. Thank you very much.

Over many many years I’ve had to deal with numerous insurance companies / brokers / underwriters / loss adjusters, on and off in a variety of capacities and for many different personal and business reasons, be that medical cover applications, motor vehicle claims, property claims, PL & EL cover…..the list goes on.
In Jan 2025 we had a mains water leak at my late father's unoccupied property. The problem had been ongoing for up to a week before it was discovered, so the damage was quite extensive.
My experience of "insurance" has generally been less than positive and over the years my default position has become that customer service will be poor, bureaucracy will be off the scale and common sense is just not in the play book.
But on this occasion, dealing with GHG has been a breath of fresh air.
I DO NOT SAY THIS LIGHTLY.
I originally spoke to Candice who was helpful, polite and proactive, then I had the pleasure of meeting Laura who has been my main point of contact.
Since then the claim has been so easy and non stressful. Laura has been professional and honest but at the same time helpful, practical and understanding.
I thank GHG for making this nothing like the painful fight I was expecting.

Our home was flooded as a result of storm damage at the end of January. Temporary accommodation was arranged within 48 hours and the loss adjuster from GHG visited within 5 days and reassured us regarding everything that needed to be done.
Communication has been superb with weekly updates and swift responses whenever required. We have felt valued and fully supported throughout this process and cannot believe that our claim has been settled so quickly.
Particular thanks to Matthew and Jonathan who have been our main contacts but great service from everyone we have dealt with.
We would prefer not to have to experience such an event again but if we do we can only hope that we receive such professional and understanding support as on this occasion.

We recently had a leaking water pipe which apparently had been leaking for awhile, we contacted the insurers who got the team to come and get specialist dryers in, following on from this we had plaster removed from the wall then a plasterer came to apply new plaster excellent job done. Last but not least we had a painter come to make good all the stains etc left by the leak. The whole experience was expertly managed in a stressful time for us. I have to mention James Bradshaw, who in his calm and professional manner managed to arrange all the jobs that needed to be done i can't recommend him enough he is brilliant in his position as a loss adjuster. Well done to the whole team they had respect for our property whilst doing a brilliant job.

Her recommendation to remove the hallway ceiling proved to be completely necessary and helped prevent further damage. GHG were secured via my mother’s home insurance as we (my brother and I) tried to negotiate some very tricky issues, which turned out to be multi-factorial, regarding her house. This made all the more complex by her house being in the Channel Islands whilst we both live, 150 odd miles apart, in the UK.
Thank heavens for James Sharpe and David Guest at GHG! Personable and friendly, both were so easy and prompt to communicate with be it by phone, email or in person, and they did so much of the “leg work” for us, in terms of the insurers and the various building companies. Problems abounded but things got sorted. I have no doubt we’d still be in a rare old mess had it not been for them.

We had a complex situation with 2 claims related to escape of water in a single flat, and a number of challenges relating to the tenant, and the other flat owners. Ultimately, GHG came up with a creative solution that met our needs, which could be executed with the tenant remaining in situ. It has taken nearly a year to resolve. The support we had from Graham as our assigned loss adjuster was excellent

I just wanted to send a note to thank GHG for a first class and most professional service in closing out our flood claim.
It is the first time I have made a claim of this type following the surprise flooding of our property, which was most unexpected and a particularly stressful experience.
From the minute the GHG Loss Adjuster visited site he made me feel at ease with the process ahead, clearly explaining his requirements and how the claim would be handled.
Estimates were sourced for the rectification works and thoroughly reviewed by GHG to ensure all aspects were covered, moving swiftly through to agreeing a sum for the works, leaving us in a position to make good the damage to our home without undue fuss.

Avoid any insurers who use GHG as their loss adjusters they come out make everything seems like it's all going to flow smoothly then you basically never hear from them, get ignored, lied to, pass the buck between themselves and insurers adjusters come and go like a conveyor belt so you have to start again with a new one, I had 3 loss adjusters over 1 claim was told works would be 4-6 months then they denied saying that, it took nearly 17 months before I could go back home, took 9 months for reinstatement works to even begin, then delays with authorisation on things all the time whilst paying tor me in alternative accommodation whole claim was a complete shambles, constantly needed chasing up, they could really save the insurers money if they actually done what they supposed to in an appropriate timescale, I could write a book on what went on with this company and Hastings each blaming the other, avoid avoid avoid Hastings too as these are their only loss adjusters

Sharon Guy, our loss adjuster, was very friendly, professional and helpful. She always responded promptly to our queries and organised the different companies to do the work. Every company that came out to the bungalow was friendly, professional and efficient. We were very happy with all the work done by GHG Solutions and they companies they used. (The only exception was the relocation company who didn’t communicate very well).

Since first meeting Andrew after the dreadful impact damage done to our house he has been a tower of strength for us.
His friendly nature and understanding of what was needed to help us deal with this extremely stressful situation, was amazing.
Being able to contact him whenever we had any worries was such a relief.

Andrew Merrell, the Loss Adjustor, has been fantastic throughout. GHG were appointed during the latter stages of the claim after we had experienced numerous delays elsewhere. Andrew was very proactive in chasing the other parties involved to enable the claim to be settled. I have no doubt that Andrew's proactive approach and intervention helped enormously. In October 2023 a car was accidentally driven into my home. GHG Solutions sent a Loss Adjuster shortly after, who agreed the living circumstances were bad and promised to progress things quickly. The opposite happened. I received very poor contact from the loss adjuster. After chasing him, when he would eventually answer it would be with an apology and excuse, but no action. Ultimately, I was forced to take the matter to the Ombudsman to get the matter resolved.
Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to read the reviews as they were linked to us via Hastings Insurance who I would also not recommend as they declined responsibility when things went wrong.
Now my home is fixed I want to stop others from experiencing the turmoil I went through.
