When visiting to browse and purchase, the staff were very polite and helpful.
We purchased a recliner sofa, matching riser recliner chair and a dining table and four chairs.
It was not explained that these items would not be put together by delivery people so upon delivery the sofa was delivered in one huge box, the chair in a large box and the table and table legs in two boxes.
I have osteoarthritis and struggled to help my daughter put this together, she had to do most of the work on her own.
When I went to the Colchester branch and questioned this the manager advised that there are two notices, taped on the counter near the tills.
I suggested they might want to explain this to customers as we did not see the notices and were not advised.
When we put the table together the box with the table top was in a wood surround, which I appreciate was for protection but we had the trouble of disposing of this along with all the cardboard.
The fixings had been thrown into the box all separately and we had to go through the packaging looking for then, the nuts were all stuffed with loose polystyrene, which had to be picked out.
I had to make two further visits to the store as there were four suction pads missing, when I got back home the ones we were given were the wrong size so I had to go back to the store again, which took two hours out of my day.
I have recently found out that if you order on the website, they put the furniture together for you!!
As a paying customer, whether you order on the website or purchase instore, surely the items should be put together as a matter of good customer service!
Would not recommend this store.

We were looking for comfortable dining room chairs, and were fortunate to visit some friends who had just purchased some beautiful Venice swivel chairs from Furniture Outlet.
Having sat on them for most of the day, and finding them extremely comfortable, we decided to go straight on their website and order 6 chairs in the Teal colour - which is beautiful.
Their service was brilliant. The chairs arrived 4 days later, two lovely guys built them in no time at all and put them in my dinning room.
Where we have been enjoying them ever since.
We would thoroughly recommend Furniture Outlet and the Venice swivel chairs.

Today I went to your store and had amazing service by an Irish lady. She provided excellent suggestions for exactly what I wanted for the new house I recently purchased in Colchester. I will definitely recommend your store to all the neighbours, as there are several who have recently moved into my area. Can’t wait for the items to arrive. I will definitely be going back as I have a spare bedroom I need to furnish. Best. Tim

Amazing furniture, rubbish service in the Charlton Store. Bed was not delivered on said date due to wrong colour input on their end, we had to chase to find this out. We asked for delivery refund, which was honoured, then on re-delivery date, we got a call to say the wrong colour had been sent so they offered a 10% discount. Asked if a further discount can be offered which was refused. We had to accept it as we needed the bed immediately albeit the wrong colour. Manager’s attitude stinks! Lacks customer service!!

A few hours later, the General Manager (I think), called Dave, who was also super helpful in store, rang us to give us a voucher and some more discount because of the issue we faced. For that, I have amended this review because he was very apologetic, unlike the supervisor/manager we had to deal with. Thank you Dave!

I recently purchased a sofa bed settee and a bed from wickford branch, I was so impressed by the excellent customer service from Paul.
Paul was so helpful, as were all staff .
My sofa and bed arrived as planned with 2 very helpful staff from Leigh on sea branch. I’m very happy with my purchases. I have also bought items from Leigh branch and been satisfied with all my items

My sofa was more stunning than the pictures, absolutely love it.
The 2 gentlemen that had to carry it to the first floor for me as our lift is broken, we're diamonds bles them.
We had a laugh together as they were unwrapping and putting the legs on the sofa for me.

I found Furniture Outlet to be very helpful with the whole process of buying and sorting out delivery. Checking in with texts and calls to make sure all ok. My sofa is gorgeous and comfortable and the delivery guys were lovely, friendly and built the sofa including making a fuss of my dog who also loved them. Blown away by the quality of the chairs we bought (6 dining chairs), the amazing price and, to top it off I ordered them on a Thursday and they arrived on Monday! Delivered by two super helpful and friendly guys. I cannot recommend this company enough, I was nervous to order as the prices seemed too good to be good quality furniture, I shouldn't have worried, I highly recommend them.

After reading reviews I visited the Colchester store and despite my initial reservations I placed order with helpful sales team unfortunately I was advised day before delivery there would be a delay of a week I thought to myself here we go!! I called store and the customer service was polite and called me to explain and rearrange delivery for one week later
On the delivery day I had a call to advise of time and two delivery guys arrived on time and were so helpful
The furniture was really good value and super quality but the overall customer service was outstanding even when I was moaning!! (Sorry) there are many out there that could learn from you So thank you all so much

We spent ages looking for the right sofas but no luck. We popped into the Wickford store and straight away saw two designs we loved. The staff were more than helpful and not pushy, plus delivery could be made within the week rather than months later from the larger furniture outlet stores. The sofas arrived and were assembled and the friendly staff checked that we were happy. Over the moon with our new sofas and a LOT cheaper than we expected. We have had friends comment on them when round and they too are looking at purchasing from Furniture Outlet. Highly recommended all round 👍
