Don't order from their website if you…

Don't order from their website if you are in EU. The delivery was fast, but return is a nightmare. No instructions how to return from EU, just said that it is at your own expense. Ok, but post is requesting some HS code for the customs, which is not mentioned anywhere. No help from client service, just a standard reply with a text from their website.

French Connection has mastered the art…

French Connection has mastered the art of taking money first and communicating never.

Placed an order, received payment confirmation instantly of course, but when it comes to dispatch information? Silence. No tracking. No courier details. No updates. Just a vague “awaiting update” status sitting there for days like some kind of joke.

Customer service is equally useless. You have to chase them for the most basic information that any competent retailer provides automatically. At this point customers are expected to become detectives trying to figure out whether their parcel even exists.

The most irritating part is the complete lack of transparency. If there is a delay, say so. If there is a warehouse issue, say so. Don’t leave customers in limbo refreshing emails and tracking pages that contain absolutely no real information.

For a company this size, the logistics and communication feel amateur at best. Premium branding, bargain-bin operations.

Reading other reviews makes it obvious this is not a one-off issue either.

Would not trust them again for time-sensitive orders unless you enjoy paying first and finding out what’s happening somewhere between this week and the next ice age.

Hey there i bought a watch online unfortunately it always stop and when I check the time is wrong and most of the time 2 hours behind I am not happy at all I tried to call them customers service phone but it goes to voicemail avoid at all coast

Awful quality

Ordered what looked like a lovely blue wrap dress. On arrival it was awful. Thin, see through, really poor quality - like something you'd get off a cheap Chinese site. Returned without even trying it on.

Would give it 0 Stars if I could. SUPER SLOW delivery and now as a customer outside UK I have to find a courier, pay the return and customs!
Spoke to them - horrible service, no support!!

Delivery too long

Customer service on delivery info is non existent. Bought a dress ten days ago and no information on where it's coming from or what courier is being used. My status is currently "awaiting update" whatever that means !!

Very disappointed with

Very disappointed with . The clothes started pilling after just one wear, and after the first wash they shrank and the color faded.
Poor quality for the price. Customer service was also frustrating—I had to chase my refund after returning the items.
Would not recommend.

Fantastic French Connection!

Been ordering from French Connection for a few years now. Quality of clothing is exceptional and unlike other clothing companies their sales are genuine and amazing I’ve have some real bargains! They also look after their loyal customers with also offering additional 20% off sale items. The returns process is always quick and easy. I know they have encountered some issues recently with refunding customers who shop using shopify but this has now been rectified. I can’t fault this company and I love their clothes!

Returned on 15 February 2026.

Received by them on 18 February 2026.

Emailed about lack of refund on 12 March 2026. Consumer Rights Act 2015 says companies must refund within 14 days of receiving the return. Days elapsed: 22.

Refunded on 13 March 2026.

Lengthy refund process

The refund process for online orders takes far too long. It took 3 weeks from them receiving my order before I was refunded, resulting in charges on my credit card.
Many other companies refund payments as soon as the package is posted.

Items delivered late

Items delivered late, when asked why explanation was a new system. Returned one item. 14 days after they received the item I still have no refund, have been chasing frequently, response being, new system in place. Absolutely atrocious customer service.

2 weeks later still no refund

Sent back my order and it was confirmed received by French Connection on 12th Feb, it is now 26th Feb and I still have not received my refund. Never known any company take so long to process a refund! Customer services said I have to wait 10-14 working days, which is 20 days including weekends! Unacceptable

Update: I have now received my refund 04/03/26

AVOID

This company really are the gift that keeps giving.
As they ignored multiple emails and social media messages regarding my missing item, I recharged via my bank. Even though the company is incapable of replying to customers they have quickly disputed this with my bank.
I have CCTV footage of my house to prove the item was not delivered.
I have proof from the Royal Mail to prove that the item was not delivered.
I'm not clear on why keeping customers money without delivering said items is part of their business plan.
My bank has all of the evidence and are keen to continue this. It is a pity that French connection dont put the same effort in when customers reach out directly.

FCUK slippers

Had a pair of FCUK slippers. Uppers came away from soles within a month of wearing them. Their customer service were not at all interested and said they could not help

order from John Lewis, save yourself the pain

Placed an order for a dress on the 16th of Jan, after over a week of it sitting at ‘order processing’ I began contacting them to find out what was wrong. The phones have no answer, after a few days someone responded via email to say they had ‘technical issues’ but order will be processed and sent that day. I then got the money bounced back into my account, the next day email says ‘order has been cancelled and a refund will be with you shortly’. Yesterday I noticed they have withdrawn the money AGAIN 11 days after I ordered the dress. Absolute shit show.

Ordered the dress on John Lewis yesterday, ready to collect today. But I begrudge giving them (FC) any money, I don’t have time to find a new dress

Order cancelled after a month

Ordered a coat for my husband on 23rd December and when it didnt arrive by the second week of January I contacted customer service. I was told some delays in the warehouse but they sent me a link to track my order and I would be notified when it was dispatched. Now a month later on 22 Jan they just cancelled my order. No explanation nothing. Great customer service, well done...I won't be ordering anything ever again

The first order took ages to get a refund and now the second order is saying the same ! This is not good as the dresses are probably out of stock but still been charged
