Pretty shitty when alot of the fish are ill or neglected(marine section)
Especially the tangs,hippo tangs.
Should be quarantined ,not allowed to mingle with others.this isn't a one off .

New aquarium delivery by Basingstoke team

My new aquarium was delivered on Sunday by Lewis and one other from the Basingstoke shop. This was above and beyond - Lewis wasn’t even working but living locally, chose to get the delivery made. This is excellent customer service - really appreciate it.

What a fantastic place

What a fantastic place! Visited the sheffield store to pick a full tropical set up. Chose a large cube with an oak cabinet and its exactly what I was looking for, its excellent quality. Rich was great in helping me pick upgraded options which would work with my tank and was extremely knowledgeable in advising me on the set up and maintenance of everything I chose. From substrate and suitable plants to maintaining the new filter and using my current filter sponge to boost the new. In fact all the staff there were knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. There's a great range of items to choose from too. Very happy with my buy and experience and cant wait to go back in a few weeks to choose a few new fish for my lovely new tank.

Dreadful Ineptitude and service

Bought fish at Cherry Lane Garden Centre. Kidderminster branch, seemed okay, so went back a couple of days later only to be told these fish had ulcers and should not have been sole. The young 'manager' then sold 3 other fish, 1 died overnight so went back, told had to bring a water sample. I said not told at point of purchase, nor were there any signs of policy, said as we had been sold ulcerated fish maybe that is why, he had no answer. He was rude with no customer service skills, he had no asked at point of sale what type of tank I had which he should when selling livestock. Now just waiting for all my fish to die in my established tank of 13 years, with some original fish of more than 10 years still in there.

Requesting a water sample is part of our standard procedure when fish losses occur, as it helps us identify possible causes and advise appropriately, but we accept that this should have been explained clearly from the start.

We also apologise if the service you received from a member of our team came across as rude or unhelpful. That is not the level of customer service we aim to provide, and your feedback regarding communication, advice at the point of sale, and the need to explain our water sample policy has been noted and will be taken into consideration going forward.

Please contact a store for further advice, support or guidance regarding your remaining fish.

Imperial park branch

Imperial park branch. Superb service! Was an actual pleasure to shop there. A young lady, helped us choose a fish tank and everything else we needed. She was super knowledgeable and a little ray of sunshine, very rare to find this kind of service anywhere. A credit to the company.

Peterborough store is fantastic

The staff at the Dobies store in Peterborough are all fantastic. They never make you feel daft for not knowing something, and take so much time to help and advise.
We inherited a very poorly-looked after fish tank, and thanks to the wonderful people at Maidenhead Aquatics, it's now thriving.

Third degree when you try to purchase,

Been using maidenhead aquatics Keynsham/ now Bishopsworth for over 30 years always ask size of tank what fish etc, which is fair enough but after 30+years you would have thought the customer knew a bit about fish keeping but is seems experience means nothing, it has put me off using Bushopsworth again disappointed 😞.

Visited this afternoon and I cannot praise the two lads in the store enough! These two are a credit to the Maidenhead team. Their fish and plant knowledge is exceptional as was their outstanding customer service.

Bought a “brand new” barrel from this…

Bought a “brand new” barrel from this shop, we checked the lid and it was on tight. By the time I had got home the barrel had nearly half emptied over the boot of my car, when I rang the store the poor staff were left to deal with it after they called their management. I then emailed above the shop and the shop accepted liability and then back tracked and called me a liar in no uncertain words. Once I sent a letter before claim for small claims court for the damage of salt water on my boot and what was in my boot, they agreed again to replace the damaged items and then proceeded to ignore me, but did tell me over the phone they wished I sorted it directly with them and I can only assume this is so they could go undetected in their nonsense by higher up. The worst customer service from the store manager and area manager I have ever encountered in my life.

BIG UP TO ROB…

Been into the store multiple times had an amazing experience every time I’ve been in, as soon as you walk in the staff are super friendly and very helpful and you feel welcomed in, especially Rob who has been helpful with every situation I’ve had whether that’s pond or fish tank enquiries, he has a wealth of knowledge which is incredibly helpful and he is very understanding, overall an amazing store would highly recommend to anyone, will definitely be returning, a big thank you Rob. 🐟🐠👊🏼

I rarely leave reviews yet I have to give a big shout out to Scott at Maidenhead Aquatics Cardiff, he made the whole experience, both over the phone and in store an absolute pleasure. Credit where its due!

Couldn’t even send out a gift card…

Couldn’t even send out a gift card after 2 weeks. Kept trying to blame the postal service after not realising that another person from the company had told me that the lady who deals with the gift cards was off sick. Passing the buck. A sure sign of a terrible company.

All I can hear is swearing

All I can hear is swearing. They can't be bothered , sold my partner and obviously sick fish , they don't care , we do , absolutely awful , I hope the other branches aren't the same , they don't deserve a job, now got 30 quid voucher which I can only use there? So can buy more sick fish ? Money not important, welfare of fish more important

TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE. My 600l tank burst, I called maidenhead tong for a new tank and the sales person I spoke to said he had an aqua one horizon set (tank, stand, filter, light and heater) in stock. I reserved this tank on the phone so I could collect that evening after work. I arrived at maidenhead and paid £300 for the tank which clearly states on the box "WITH STAND" i arrived home and began unboxing and quickly realised there was no stand. I called maidenhead and they told me the stand is an extra £140!!! Now I have a tank on the floor with my fish in as I had no where else to put them. DON'T USE MAIDENHEAD AQUATICS!!!

Great staff and products

Brought some fish for my pond and the young man told me the best way to get rid of the Heron that decimated my pond in summer even with all its protection. Knowledgeable friendly and got me a discount thanks very much buddy

Best shop in mk area

I am from Milton Keynes and I have got to say the Woburn sands shop is the best in the mk area and have stopped go the Milton Keynes ones as there not as clean and always got dead fish and never cleaned out for ages.

Purchased some fish at £9 each and they…

Purchased some fish at £9 each and they had a lot of babies. 30 ISH survived. Called to see if they would take them and they said yes but would not pay for them. No problem totally understand that. When asked if they could send some bags to transport them in was told no I can buy them online. Was a bit surprised considering they would be selling the fish on at £9 each pure profit.

Poor service

Bought a tank today on click and collect waited half an hour at store but had to leave as had other things to do will be cancelling order and bye elsewhere staff not helpful very dissatisfied
