Apart from having to contact the office a few times to remind them not to bother sending me statements every month, I have had no issues with Family Building Society. When I have spoken to a staff member they have always been courteous and helpful, in particular Lisa Adams, the last lady I spoke to. It’s a company I don’t worry about phoning because so far, they are all very pleasant.

This mainly concerns the apparent mandatory reregistration process for existing savings customers to their online accounts.
I have been a customer for some 10+ years, and have been required to reregister to get access to my online accounts.
New savings customers get a verification code by email by the end of the next working day.
Existing customersare told they have to wait for it to arrive by post, here the post is dire.
Why can't they do the same verification process for existing customers?
They also ask you to do a review of today's experience and to go to an insecure (http) website called smpreviews. No. My ISP flashes red and says my computer can be hacked if I do.

**FBS response does not answer my questions. Additionally, I had to do another reregistration for the same type of account I have with FBS that I have with another Building Society who do this in one session with a series of interactions online. Basically I have to wait for the post or waste more time on the phone**

I spoke with Saniya Banerjee concerning some online service issues. She was efficient and promptly resolved my queries. In addition, she was proactive with helping me with a few other matters. Overall, excellent service from Saniya.

I have been a member of family building society for many years.,in all that time they have provided me with an excellent service,efficient and courteous but also friendly and willing to take time with me especially helpful to an older person. I recently had a windfall from my windfall bond ,what a lovely surprise and the news was delivered beautifully by Vandelle Shango . So thank you to all at FBS for your past and ongoing care.
