From the consultation with the Fairview representative to the actual date of our installation the contact and information from Fairview was excellent. The installation was carried out without worry or concern because the installation technicians were absolutely excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Disappointed.
After receiving a few emails asking for a review and being offered incentives to refer a friend while we are still left waiting for someone to come and fix the never ending ongoing issues we are having with our new patio door since having it installed in May, we decided that we should leave an honest review of our experience so here goes….
We decided to get a new security front door, downstairs windows and sliding patio doors and had a few companies come and discuss our options.
We chose fairview after our meeting with a lovely young gentleman called Corey.
We waited a few weeks longer than we expected for installation but we put that down to the bank holidays.
It all l started really well as Neil was amazing and did a great job installing the front door and kitchen windows,
He also did a great job installing the new sliding patio doors but unfortunately it was installed opening from the wrong side and our house is small with limited space so it opened directly where our sofa and coffee table is but Neil had no choice but to install it as he had already removed our old door before we received the new ones on site and had a look at it.
We patiently waited a few weeks for it to be installed correctly. It was a huge inconvenience having to move furniture to go out to our garden plus our poor dog took a while to adjust to the door opening the wrong side and ran into it a couple of times.
I called the office to get confirmation of when it was going to get installed and they said Friday but no one turned up so I called again and finally got a confirmation email with another date and time yet on that day 2 hours after the confirmed arrival time no one turned up so I ended up in a heated debate on the phone and the team finally arrived after 2pm.
The door turned up with the wrong handles so we had to swap them out which made the handle feel a bit loose unlike the one before that was factory installed.
It felt like a rushed job especially comparing it to how Neil had installed it professionally the first time and unfortunately we have had quite a few problems since.
We requested for Neil to come and adjust it as we were very happy with his service the first time it was installed and Neil came and did his best but it just wasn’t as smooth like it was when it was installed opening the wrong way so we could really feel the difference and now the door jams sometimes, you can hear the wind moving the door making a knocking sound and the frame cover is completely hanging off and just wouldn’t click back into place.
Unfortunately I’ve felt the need to leave this negative review and I’ve very rarely written a negative review for anyone as I believe if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all but after being told someone should come the week starting 20th July but no one came and then over a week later I received an email asking if I was available Tuesday or Wednesday the next week which I was available both days so was told someone would come one of those days but again no one turned up and that was 2 weeks ago.
I’ve not heard anything since.
The whole process has been disappointing and I have actually lost the will to keep chasing them about the issues we are having.

I'm pleased to hear that Corey and Neil made a positive impression, but that doesn't take away from the inconvenience and frustration caused by the door being manufactured incorrectly, the delays in rectifying it, and the problems that have continued since. Most concerning of all, I was unaware that these issues remained unresolved and that you had been left waiting without any meaningful update.
Please accept my sincere apologies. I will personally look into this matter and make sure it is dealt with as a priority. You should not have to keep chasing us, and I completely understand why you have felt disappointed by the process.

This is my second purchase with Fairview
This is my second purchase with Fairview and I went back to them as I was confident that the service and product would be at the same high standards they were 6 years ago and I was not disappointed.
I purchased external French doors with integrated blinds within the glazed unit and I am so happy with them. They make a massive difference to my home.
My quotation was done Martin, who was the same guy from 6 years ago. Polite, professional and efficient.
The surveyor has worked for them for 20+ years was exactly the same, as was the fitter who has worked for them for 10+ years.
It says a lot about a company that can have staff retention as good as this.
Considering my previous French doors were fully removed, there was no damage to the interior and no immediate redecoration is required.
I would like to say that the quotation was competitive, but in all honesty, I did not get a quote from anyone else. I googled estimated prices, but I was happy with the price and summer discount I got from Fairview. I am stronger believer in pay cheap pay twice and you cannot knock the quality and workmanship that Fairview offer.
I had the front of my house, windows and door fitted in 2020 and they are still as perfect now as they were when they were fitted.
You will not be disappointed if you purchase from Fairview.

Shout out to Cory the salesman who was lovely to deal with. I was kept updated by Wayne the project manager at all times and the fitters were great, efficient, competent and clean. I would have given 5 if the glass in a unit wasnt cracked at the point of installation; it was re-ordered and changed with no after-sales issues. Windows are good quality and value for money. I intend to use Fairview again for remaining windows.
