I waited before posting this review because I wanted to give Express Luv a fair chance to resolve the issue. After clearly telling them their “resolution” was not acceptable, they stopped responding completely.

I am posting this review because, as a customer, I refuse to be defrauded or misled.

The product delivered to the recipient is completely different from what was advertised. The images on their website show a detailed, traditional brass Kamdhenu statue with proper craftsmanship — including the calf feeding naturally from the mother. What was delivered instead is a cheap, poorly made item with incorrect design, bad finishing, and a completely different look. The calf is just placed underneath, not properly sculpted as shown.

Even worse, the product does not appear to be solid brass at all. Only after I complained did they admit it is made from a mix of resin and brass. This was never clearly disclosed at the time of purchase. Presenting something that looks like solid brass and delivering a resin-based product is misleading.

This was sent as a gift, and it was honestly embarrassing that the recipient received such a low-quality item that looked nothing like what was promised.

They refused to accept a return and refused to issue a refund, hiding behind a “no returns on gifting items” policy. Instead, they offered partial store credit and a small discount, which does not resolve the issue.

Saying “images are only for reference” is not an excuse when the actual product is materially different.

I provided clear photographic evidence comparing what was advertised versus what was delivered, and they still refused to take responsibility.

I have ordered from them before and had good experiences, which makes this even more disappointing. But this experience has completely broken my trust.

I ordered a birthday cake for my sister on the 23rd of March and paid in full, expecting a timely delivery for her birthday on 28th of March. However, by the evening of the 28th the order had not even been shipped and there were no updates whatsoever.

As I am based in the UAE and the delivery was in Germany, I contacted customer service via WhatsApp. I was informed that there were “current conditions” causing delays and the order would be delivered on the 31st of March. I clearly asked whether this was confirmed or if I should cancel for a refund and I was reassured that the delivery on the 31st was guaranteed and whoever messaged even raised the stakes stating he/she "will personally monitor it".

Unfortunately, the same issue repeated. On the 31st, I was told the cake would arrive between 2–4 PM. By 5 PM, nothing had been delivered. When I followed up, I was told that “no one was at the door” and that the cake (which they themselves described as “super perishable”) had been left at some DHL Box in some area.

This is totally unacceptable!! The recipient’s contact number was clearly provided yet no attempt was made to call which is a basic courtesy. She was at home the entire time and no delivery attempt was made. Instead, the item was simply left at the Box.

To make matters worse, the recipient now has to wait for a notification email from DHL to collect the package which takes days. As of now, the "super perishable" cake is still sitting there and blowing candles on its own.!!

This was meant to be a birthday surprise but it turned into a frustrating and horrible experience all due to the personal monitoring at its best form. This shows the underlying poor coordination between the provider/dispatcher, false promises and lack of responsibility.

I would not recommend this service for any important or time-sensitive deliveries. All of whom have read my reviews, I personally request to rethink prior to spending your hard earned money on such irresponsible teams!

Ordered a cake for my cousin and she wasn’t able to attend the call straight away, the delivery guy waited for 10 minutes just for me to sort it out and honestly that’s good on them, places like the uk drivers would go within 5 minutes. Anyways good replies by the company and easy to contact very kind and not a scam

I wrote a previous review based on my experience of an easy website that allowed foreign cards and a timely delivery.

However at the time, I had not heard how the cake itself was. I asked repeatedly for a light, dry, tart cake without a lot of gooey, cream and fruits and nuts, as my mother cannot eat them. I said she preferred a tart taste with a spongy bread like consistency, rather than goo. I was promised that.
However the actual cake was extremely gooey and covered with fruit, even though, yes, it was the mango cake THEY had suggested to me but said would not be too sweet.

However, when it came, it was packed with fruit, cream, and very sweet.

Here is what I wrote to them on WhatsApp when ordering:

Are mango fruit cake and litchee cake both soft? And which one is very sweet? She cannot eat too sweet
They replied:

Mango is good

I repeated the request again 20 minutes later:

Dec 25, 11.59 PM
Is litchee less sweet? Maybe she would like that better.
She does not like too sweet.
She does not like very sweet cakes with lots of gooey stuff. Likes light, slightly tart things that are a bit soft and spongey

This is what they replied:

" We will add less cream n more bread" 12.01 AM

Furthermore, the cake came from a well-known bakery that does not specialize in cakes. It is a general bakery.

I cannot recommend this site for that reason. It was a great disappointment. If you just want to deliver something on time, fine. But you won't get what you asked for.

Added: I have to add that after I informed the owners of my disappointment, they offered to send my mother another cake and asked if I would then change my review.

However, when I checked their website for another cake, I realized that ALL their cakes were laden with cream and not very suitable for an elderly person.
So I passed on the offer and retained my review.

I also wrote back to them and suggested they develop healthier offerings.
They were appreciative of the feedback and say they might well branch out in that direction.

They even offered to send my mother the new product when it became available.
That would be nice and I am happy to add their offer in this review. But the fact is I asked for a tart cake with less cream, they promised it, but they sent the mango cake as is, without reducing the cream and sweetness, as they promised.

It was prompt punctual and more over they understood how important Occasion is and made it really special
