I purchased a HP Laptop in May 2026 and after 4 weeks the letters and numbers on the keyboard faded. I contacted Evetech and a gentlemen (Divan in tech Support) arranged for me to receive a new HP Laptop from HP. 3 weeks after receiving my new laptop the letters and numbers also started to fade. I raised this with Divan (Evetech Tech Support) who sincerely apologized and arranged with management for be to receive a full refund and recommended a new replacement laptop from a different brand. I took the faulty laptop in yesterday morning and not long afterwards I left with a new laptop which I am very happy with. Divan was very professional, knowledgeable and very understanding. I have been in customer service for 44 years and Divan's outstanding service really stands out as one of the best customer services that I can recall and he is a asset to Evetech. The gentleman who also assisted me at reception (unfortunately I do not know his name) was also very friendly, understandable and professional and a pleasure to deal with. I am and will remain a happy client of Evetech and will continue to support them and promote, A big thank you to Divan and the gentlemen who assisted me at reception.
unethical business practice / cheating
they put one item far cheaper online to draw traffic on their website to bring customers, much cheaper than market price and get customer money, even though their website show that item is in stock but they says we sold out after they sent me tax invoice for my purchase on following day.

Do not buy anything from them under any circumstances, I have reported them to the NCC and have an open claim against them. Let's hope they get what is coming to them.

Evetech must change their courier service provider. I'm lucky I got my order after buying a gaming laptop online.
The driver needs to know who is recieving the package and verify delivery to the right person.
The courier didn't even know who the delivery was for, and didn't verify before handing over the package. They just said it's for this address. Even when asked they didn't know, and gave it to the wrong person.
No messages.
No delivery tracking.
No communication about when I would receive my order.
There wasn't even a pin.

I ordered an RTX 5060Ti 16GB and wasn't happy with the performance. Yes, it's a great GPU, but we needed more raw performance. So, we exchanged it for the the RTX 5070 instead.
The aftersales services of Evetech was great because they kept me in the loop, offered me a CN (Credit Note), so I only paid the difference.
Dealt with Ricardo and he was professional, polite and went the extra mile to ship out product asap after the exchange was completed.
We highly recommend Evetech especially if you want to save extra bucks on your PC components.

No service and warranty only with evetech
We have bought quite a few gaming laptops from evetech. The last one Lenovo legion for about 50k that had fault right from the beginning. Warranty turns out not to be valid anywhere else besides evetech. I have emailed them photos and videos of the fault, called them, explained when I booked in for repairs yet they cannot find fault and it took them 2 days before someone could look at it. No communication besides the urgency and me calling them so many times. They are absolutely useless. We will not buy from them again, I'm sure there are other places where the client matters

I purchased a laptop, and upon inspection it became apparent that the touchpad was defective. Considering the value of the laptop, I'm puzzled by this. On top of that one has to chase for responses via email to get the process of it being collected, and calling seems useless as sales representatives cannot direct me to someone in support via the phone. This was a terrible experience - After receiving the SMS that my parcel will be delivered with in 48hrs. I waited 5 days and then phoned the courier company they then told me the parcel wasn't ever received from evetech yet. Phoned evetech and people there wasn't very helpful either or knowledgeable with regards of how to assist. Next time I would rather pay a bit more and get good service.
Evetech Centurion Repairs: 12-Day Delay + PSU Installed Upside-Down + Tried to Downgrade My PSU
Dropped my PC off at Evetech Centurion on 13 November 2025 for a simple case-audio repair.
Paid R599 upfront for a “full diagnostic”.
After 12 days of endless excuses and zero updates (despite numerous calls and five emails), I finally collected my PC on 25 November 2025.
What happened next:
• Support manager Wian van Niekerk declared my perfectly good 750 W 80 PLUS Gold Gamdias KRATOS PSU faulty because of a 10-second discharge whine after shutdown – a completely normal behaviour on that model and thousands of other budget PSUs.
• He tried to replace it with an 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze unit, claiming it was “better”. It is not – it’s a clear downgrade in efficiency and quality.
• When I eventually got the PC back with my original PSU reinstalled, the technician had mounted it completely upside-down (fan facing the bottom shroud).
• This caused the fan blades to scrape loudly against the case – a noise that would have destroyed the fan bearing over time.
• To fix their mistake, I had to cut multiple zip ties the technician had used, ruining my cable management.
I corrected everything myself the same evening.
This is multiple breaches of the Consumer Protection Act (Sections 54, 55 & 56) and outright incompetence.
I have photos of the upside-down PSU and cut zip ties.
Warning:
Do NOT trust Evetech Centurion with repairs or RMAs. They will misdiagnose normal behaviour as faults, try to downgrade your components, hold your PC for weeks, and return it in worse condition than you brought it in.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Evetech.
I bought a custom-built PC from them in December 2024, and within five months, the GPU failed due to “corrosion.” I replaced it myself (R1,099) and even added an extra fan (R249) and a R3,500 dehumidifier to protect the system. A few months later, the motherboard and CPU also failed for the same reason.
My office is 1 km from the beach, but it’s well-ventilated, with a dehumidifier running 12 hours a day, silica gel in the case, and no other electronics in the same room have ever failed — including another PC, router, TV, and gaming console.
Despite all this, Evetech kept blaming “environmental factors” and refused to take responsibility. They hide behind the manufacturer instead of honouring their duties under the Consumer Protection Act, which clearly says the supplier is responsible for providing quality, durable goods.
In total, I’ve spent R7,491.85 trying to fix issues that should never have happened in the first place.
If corrosion in less than a year is “normal,” then no one living on the South African coastline could ever own a computer.
