Terrible experience
Terrible experience. This place is run like it’s in the 19th century. I left an ornate mirror and 3 numbered Picasso lithographs there on September 23. After some months I called and was told the mirror was sold…but in the agreement they only write checks for $100+. So I waited. Finally in early March I got a call that 2 of the 3 lithographs sold, and I could pick up a check for $109.50 plus the piece that didn’t sell. Keep in mind that they will NOT mail you a check, you need to go pick it up. Well, they have all the checks in two envelopes, apparently not all alphabetized. It took at least 10 minutes for Luis in jewelry to find my check. Now for the piece that didn’t sell...I waited 30 minutes, they couldn’t find it. Luis said, oh, we’re doing some remodeling and it’s behind other stuff. He’ll call me. A week later, I heard nothing, so I called again. “Don’t worry, we’ll find it…sometime.” I said no, find it now or compensate me…or I’ll undertake a campaign on social media. He said, basically, too bad…but then called me back about 15 minutes later with promise to find it TODAY and call me back, “probably in less than 30 minutes.” Now, a day later, nothing. So if you’re looking for a place with terrible systems, no customer service, and no communications, Estates is your destination!
