énergie brand with the personal touch
I've been going to énergie for six months now. Don't be fooled by it being a brand; the gym is run with an independent mentality where the staff know members by name and care about helping you get the best out of your time there.
It's well-equipped with a variety of strength and cardio machines, plus new equipment added from time to time. Again, because James and the team actually engage with the customers, they know what sort of things to kit out the gym with to make best use of the space.
I would recommend for both new and seasoned gym goers. There is equipment and advice for all abilities. Plus, there's usually a bit of '80s rock playing and who wouldn't want to work out to Van Halen?

Not clean
Staff are lovely and friendly but Cheap membership = classes don’t run regularly (I often show up and class has been cancelled). Also, not clean. Toilet/Wash area is filthy.

I hope you're well.
With regards to the cleanliness in the changing/toilet area, we don't have a change area as such, we have individual change/wash rooms. We clean those 3 times daily however we also have signs in each room to encourage people to let us know if the floor is wet so we can clean it on an ad hoc basis if additional cleaning is required. Please notify a member of staff if a member has left one of the change/wash rooms unclean and they will be happy to help.
Classes are available regularly but must be booked in advance on the app. If they are not booked they cannot be attended and there was also unfortunately a time when one of the personal trainers was called for Jury service and another was unwell. Nothing to do with the price of membership.

Absolutely over the moon with this Gym
Absolutely over the moon with this Gym. Very Friendly and also extremely helpful. The location is great and the parking area is a bonus. I would Highly recommend this Gym and checkout the Excellent facilities.

Great gym, needs a clean.
Hi, I have recently joined your gym after a long layoff from being a member of any gym.
Firstly, my initial impression was very good indeed, great machinery great free weights too. Slightly cramped space however I go at times when it’s not busy so I don’t feel enclosed.
Secondly, I’ve been 4 times now and am starting to notice how unclean the gym is. ALL the machines need wiping with a spray and cloth, the base of them are dusty which looks like it’s been there for weeks. The showers whilst very efficient need to be checked and cleaned more regularly, example being i visited on consecutive days and I used the same shower and it still had the same dirt in the shower tray.
Little things like this can be so easily remedied, this would bring the rating up to 4 or even 5

Floors are not vacuumed enough
Floors are not vacuumed enough, air con doesn't work and windows not open so nit really creating adequate ventilation around covid measures..

Disappointing
Machines resistance capability regularly don’t work! Guys walking around topless in front of the gym manager! Gym is more of a youth club than a place to work out! Too many people and machines for floor space available.. gym staff spend more time trying to be mates with people in the gym than actually managing the gym, cleaning the gym or checking equipment works properly..
