Extremely disappointing — Not recommended
My first flight with Emirates from Shanghai to Dubai was honestly a huge disappointment. I had high expectations because of their reputation, but the service was far below what I expected.
I asked for water during the flight and waited almost one hour just to receive one bottle. The food was very poor, both meals were low quality, and when I asked for more, I was told there was none.
The cabin crew attitude was also cold and unhelpful, which made the flight very uncomfortable. I have received much better service from Chinese airlines like China Southern and even Afghan airlines.
Based on this experience, I do not recommend Emirates to anyone and I will personally avoid flying with them again.

Abysmal customer service from the moment we got on the flight at Manchester airport. Staff not interested in their passengers, ignoring passengers request for assistance and more or less calling one lady a liar when she reported an issue with a faulty seat. This was just the start!!!!
#Emirates do not live up to their reputation as a premier long haul airline. We received an email this morning cancelling our flight back home through dubai this evening (21:00 Aus time) which we understood given current issues in Dubai. However #Emirates get worse from their. Their customer service is non existent, they referred us to our travel agents and washed their hands with us. When we contacted #Trailfinders they contacted #Emirates who said they had it in hand and we should go to the airport.
On arrival at Brisbane airport we were then told by the #Emirates customer services reps that they had no liability for getting us home, when asked about accommodation the #Emirates reps told us to "borrow and contact our family for support as it is nothing to do with us". I asked him if he expected us to beg and borrow from family and his response was simply "yes, we #Emirates have no liability or recourse for your situation.
For a Premier airline they are a shower of s#@%, and we will not be using them again.
I can't understand from why Emirates is held to such high esteem.

This guys are amazing and the staff is professional and effective. I don't have patience to what never works but they were so patient with me because my bank cards couldn't go through, even when i said I'm done, they calm me down and provideed solutions. They are always there when one needs them, even in the late hours when I made enquires, it wouldn't pass 15 minutes before I could be helped, it doesn't matter where in the world you are... they are always there, they even call you to make things easy for you. They even remind you to check emails not to miss any updates.
Poor customer service
Extremely unsympathetic and obstructive to nervous passengers, rude and rigid team who simply don't listen.

I requested for a refund on my tickets over 3 months back and the same was confirmed to be processed. I had provided Emirates all the information as and when they had requested and the same was confirmed by their refunds team. I have been trying to contact them ever since to trace my refund and yet have not received it till date even though their website says 15 business days to process the refund. This is probably one the worst customer service that I have had, and I will surely not be flying with Emirates ever! I would never recommend Emirates to anyone I know due to this incident! They are so called one of the best out there? From all the complaints I see online they should be rated one of the worst. Every time I contact the customer care, they are so incompetent that they do not have any visibility with the refunds team and are unprofessional at their work. There is absolutely no cooperation of customer care here. I hope and pray that this does not happen to anyone else out there and lose their hard-earned money to a company is all about trying to cheat you! Skywards: 00680028436

Check in luggage broken lock and Zipper.
I was flying from Singapore-Zurich and noticed my luggage was destroyed for security check but only after I got home.
I was not notified at all as to why it was opened, and instead of using the TSA key which my luggage has, the zipper and lock can't be repaired.
I asked for compensation, and after months they finally got back to me, they sent me the wrong amount, in the wrong currency.
Instead of 86 pounds they sent me 68.
I have send them the proof and they tried to defend themselves saying its the correct amount just different currency, but it was not the case.
Rubbish customer support
This was our first experience with Emirates and will be our last. No interest in customer service - our flight was delayed by 7 hours as the pilot on the incoming flight wouldn't land due to blustery conditions. We therefore missed our connecting flight which wad also with Emirates. Delayed by 24 hours. No one at Dubai airport had a clue what was going on, no-one apologised. Business class? More like a cattle truck.

Travelled from Saigon to Birmingham uk. Never experienced such cramped conditions such that arrived in the UK with a severe DVT. Only one meal served and it was inedible. No drinks served. Clearly Emirates care about Profit not customers. NEVER again.
Emirates don’t refund
Booked flights through Emirates,Orlando-JFK JFK-Malpensa. Booked and paid for extra leg room seats on the last leg of our journey. Checked in, in Orlando. They checked us all the way to Malpensa. Boarding cards with the seats we have booked. Discover that Jetblu. Codeshare with Emirates taking us up to JFK, had a hefty delay. Luckily we are very well traveled and saw the delay would mean us missing our connecting flight. Jetblu, without any problems changed us to an earlier flight. Arrive in JFK go straight to the gate, 1 hour before departure. Flight hadn’t started boarding. Starts boarding, we join the queue, the lady sees our boarding cards and tells us we need to go to the desk. We are issued new boarding cards, not our seats the ones we had booked and paid for but four seats spaced out throughout the aircraft, we told them there must be a mistake, no our seats were no longer available. It’s our fault because they had been calling our names, a complete lie, we had been stood there for 1 hour and they hadn’t. We were travelling with 2 minors and I informed the staff of the safety contradictions. Nothing, no help at all. I asked to speak to the manager, who eventually managed to get us 3 seats together, not ones we had booked. Emirates are now refusing to refund the money we spent for our seats we had booked. Absolutely disgusting
Thanks for classist discrimination of disabled passangers
Shame such a discriminatory company can be in business. The EU should ban their flights for discrimination against disabled people. After an injury, my husband was refused his medical right to a stretcher on board and Emirate's customer service employees are trained to be rude and classist, suggesting the only solution is to be rich and pay for a business class ticket instead. This is what ruthless capitalism brings to us as a society, I deplore the day we chose them over Iberia.

No Customer Service support! They just look how to close your case. The worst customer experience. Highly rated company like Emirates has to have the best Customer service stuff and the, have to help and support their clients!

I wrote few times to complain about a big miss in their booking system. The customer service did not (want to) understand and answer the complaint. They eventually stopped following up on my file. Not serious for a say reputable company.
My handbag was taken off an Emirates…
My handbag was taken off an Emirates flight while on a petrol stop over in KL . I can only guess it was the cleaners while we walked around the plane for some exercise as no one else left the plane when it disappeared. And find my phone locates it in KL airport . Not only is this shocking but what is more shocking is the lack of responsibility or help or in fact any communication from Emirates re this matter . Beware when traveling if you have a small handbag it is vulnerable.

Was flying back from dubai to London in January but refused boarding as the team refused to accept my travel documents despite having everything. To then spend over 12 hours at the airport, 5 hours arguing with the staff that were completely rude, aggressive, no knowledge of the travel requirements, arrogant. The worst experience I've had with Emirates. Made a complaint to find out the complaints team is based in dubai and of course will back up the team despite the evidence supplied and told by London emirates that I was in fact in the right and should never have been removed from my flight. Emirates should be ashamed, just thinking about what I went through stresses me out and makes me feel sick. Praying this company goes out of business soon
