All glitz but no substance!
I worked for the Eastern Western Motor Group for just under a year at the Honda dealership in Edinburgh and you should:
1. avoid this Honda dealership at all cost;
2.maybe avoid dealing with any dealership which this com pamny operates; and
3. under no circumstance work for this company.
From working at this company as a sales executive here is what I found:
A. attitude to customer includes: (i) lying to customers with a view to ripping them off to achieve sales targets: (ii) racism and sexist attitudes to customers;
B. extreme bullying in the work place with no set procedures;
C. when the new rules for disclosing commission was intorduced at the end of 2024 they defrauded a whole FCA audit and whe it was reported they did nothing about it; and
D. on a positive note they do have lovely garages and the cars they sell are mostly of a good quality (PITY ABOUT THE ABOVE THOUGH).
As I mention above I worked for this company and you really should avoid the Honda garage at Fort Kinnaird and by no means work for the company as a whole.
I called Mercedes Edinburgh fort…
I called Mercedes Edinburgh fort Kinnaird as I saw there advertising for a new c class as I have purchased my last two Mercedes from this dealership the deal was £2498 deposit and £399 per month over 48 months when i called I told the salesman to order me one he then and he asked me to send him a email of the deal which i did he then called me back and told me that it was a administrative mistake and they couldn’t do that deal I asked him to get his manager to call me witch he did I asked him if there was any way we could do a deal and he said he would do a extra £250 because I was a existing customer I didn’t think this was good enough as it was costing me £25 a month extra I then asked him to take my name off his companies computer and not to contact me and he told me it would be a pleasure to do that in my opinion very bad attitude and customer service

I purchased a BMW X3 M40d (white
I purchased a BMW X3 M40d (white, reg NH19 JKJ) from Car Deal Warehouse and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
From the outset, the car was plagued with faults and spent weeks in the garage in total during the short period I owned it. Issues included headlight faults, drivetrain problems, and intermittent electrical warnings. Despite multiple visits, the problems were never properly resolved, and I ultimately had to exercise my consumer rights and return the vehicle.
Due to the nature of my work, I have very limited time onshore and rely heavily on having a dependable vehicle. Car Deal Warehouse were well aware of this and, in my view, used my time pressure against me, offering a buy-back figure that left me thousands of pounds out of pocket simply because I had no option but to resolve the situation quickly before leaving again. This felt extremely unfair and exploitative.
The service department were initially polite and appeared helpful, but communication quickly dropped off. I was told parts needed to be sourced from Germany and that I would be contacted once they arrived — I never was, and I had to chase repeatedly with no meaningful follow-up.
To make matters worse, I had purchased an extended warranty with the car. When I returned the vehicle and asked about a refund for this (given the car was clearly not fit for purpose), I was laughed at by a member of staff (a gentleman wearing glasses). Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour.
What is most concerning is that the same BMW X3 I handed back is now back up for sale. I would strongly urge any prospective buyers to be very cautious.
Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would strongly advise people to stay well clear of Car Deal Warehouse. This was one of the most stressful and costly car purchases I’ve had, and I would not trust them again.
Eastern Western Chery, very poor service
At the dealers request we booked an appointment for 2pm with sales rep for the Chery Tiggo. We arrived 10 minutes early to get a look at the cars first and were told at reception he would be with us soon.
Checked out car we we were interested in and then were just standing around as didn't appear anywhere to sit and wait.
At 2.15pm as we were still just standing around someone asked if we were being seen to (had been asked 3 times and all very polite) I said we had booked appointment at 2pm but were still waiting and then another sales rep interjected saying they were busy. I said we were happy to wait another 10 mins to which he replied it will be a lot longer than that. I felt the he only approached as other customers could hear and again re-iterated we had booked appointment at 2pm, was advised we could re-book.
We left and will not be returning because no-one had the decency to tell us until I spoke up. Receptionist could have told us straight away or the rep we booked with, especially as there was another couple who were waiting for same rep and just sat down at 2.10pm. Get the impression they book several appointments expecting people not to show. Not good enough, thanks for wasting my time Eastern Western, will visit another dealer.
UK Internal Market
I had a very disappointing experience with this company.
I contacted their Mercedes Benz of Edinburgh - East dealership regarding the purchase of an Approved Used Mercedes Benz and was informed that they would not proceed with a sale because I am resident in Northern Ireland. This was explained to me as their policy.
No further explanation was provided that applied specifically to the vehicle, and I was willing to collect the car in Great Britain and make my own arrangements thereafter.
As a result, I was unable to proceed with the purchase. I am sharing this as my personal experience so that other potential customers, particularly those based outside mainland GB, are aware.
Would give no stars if I could
Would give no stars if I could. Avoid like the plague. Sold me a dodgy car and has to get Independant inspector in for full report and threaten motoring ombudsman and legal action, Took months of them mucking me about to finally get ny money back. Absolutely do nor buy a car from this dodgy garage
Eastern western broxburn.
After a ding, eastern western replaced the door and rear panels, one of my alloys and a tyre, sprayed and matched the new panels and gave them a protective ceramic treatment. recalibrate the sensors, cleaned the car inside and out to showroom standard. They phoned me every three working days with an update and finished the job six days before the estimated completion date. They provided a fairly decent courtesy car. Very happy with the service provided.
Just picked up my new Jazz
Just picked up my new Jazz - great service as usual from all the staff at Honda Fort Kinnaird - and especially from Joe Singh - who went above and beyond to make sure I was able to collect today. Thanks Joe - you’re a star ⭐️ #hondaFortKinnaird
Barnetts Chery Dundee
Just purchased a new Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV Summit at Barnetts Chery Dundee. The total experience was outstanding from the lovely welcome of the receptionist who provided the coffee etc with exceptional customer focus ( a real gem ) to Oliver Henderson, sales executive who went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant customer experience. Nothing was too much trouble, he even phoned the next day after we picked up the vehicle ( on his day off ) to ensure we arrived home safely and whether I had any questions. Well and beyond the call of duty and I can genuinely recommend this company with the positive experience I had
£1000 quote for what should have been warranty work
Terrible service. All about extracting money from customers. Clear warranty work - bolts coming loose on an input manifold resulting in a fuel leak. Received a quote for £500 to fix that plus a bonus £500 to replace rear discs and pads which were fine and just had surface rust.
Only the required work was actualy done for no charge eventually.
Looks like they are also using the exploit women method to try and get money. I went along and the work magically had been authorised 30 minute before we visited in person for an update.
Very dishonest. I do wonder about the 5 star reviews for this organisation.
UPDATE: VW Newbridge is where this took place.
If your desperate make sure you get it in writing
Do not buy from Toyota they tell you your getting free servicing and if you’ve not got that in writing your paying it I was told I’d get 2 years free and had to pay it who ever pays for 1st years servicing? Effectively called a lier after over 10 years loyal custom. Time to go elsewhere.
Worst service I have ever had.
They supplied a brand new car 5 months ago and had nothing but problems with it. They have washed their hands and told me to contact Mercedes directly and its 'nothing to do with them!'
Asked me to collect a car with a factory fault - absolutely shocking service
Oh, and nothing in writing, all phone calls, so it's not able to be recorded. Abysmal all round. Wish I had gone to another brand with my hard-earned money.
Customer service is so bad
Customer service is so bad
I went to pick my car up , 2500 thousand miles on the car and it had not been given the promised valet , the had buffed up the paint work , wheels were filthy , when we complained, they took it back to the valet only to bring it back 10mins later still dirty , drinks spilt down doors and in cup holder , windows all marked , crumbs in the back seat , it is like they were blind.
It was took back to the a further twice and came back the same , spoke to a manager at VW Newbridge who was full of apologies, we will get you a hamper to apologise for this , But still waiting on the hamper , still waiting for us to be able to put on our private plate as there is a delay due to admin having to send paperwork away , we could have had this done if John Seaton the sales guy being adamant that they do it.
I am not surprised this has more 1 stars than anything else , if you cannot give customer service then do not sell, seriously thinking of handing back the car 😡😡
Great Experience
Had a great experience getting a small body work repair done. Daniel's work was first class. Easy to deal with and repair done very timely.
Utterly Disgraceful – How They Treat Vulnerable Customers is a Scandal
If you’re considering buying or servicing your car at Eastern Western Mercedes-Benz Dunfermline, think very carefully, especially if you or your loved one is vulnerable.
We have been fighting for weeks to get a basic safety fault fixed for my elderly friend, who has dementia and struggles to understand complex issues. Despite repeatedly telling the dealership about his condition, they:
Cancelled the parts order without explanation
Gave false promises that the repair was being arranged (it wasn’t)
Let him drive away in an unsafe vehicle, confused and distressed
Were openly rude to him when he returned for help
Made me do their job for them by investigating if the part was even ordered (it never was)
Under the Equality Act 2010, companies have a legal duty to make reasonable adjustments and protect vulnerable people from discrimination and disadvantage. This dealership has shown utter contempt for that.
They also have a record of dismissing genuine customer complaints, look at how their manager responds to negative reviews online: arrogant, sarcastic, and always blaming the customer. It says everything that they’re prepared to put that in black and white for everyone to see.
Eastern Western Mercedes-Benz Dunfermline should be ashamed of how they treat people. If you care about basic decency, safety, or how you’ll be treated when something goes wrong stay away.
AVOID - worst service team ever experienced
My son received a safety recall for his Honda Civic citing issues with the fuel pump. The car was booked into Western Honda Fort Kinnaird. Upon collecting the car we were advised that a “leak” had been found but due to an extended warranty the work could be carried out free of charge with them. We booked the car in for a couple of weeks later (this was the earliest they could offer). The day after the work was carried out all warning lights started to flash along with a rattling noise appearing when going over speed bumps or over uneven ground. I took the car back the following day, informed them of the issues only to be told they can’t look at it until 3 weeks later!! I asked if the car would be safe to drive to which the young mechanic just shrugged his shoulders and said “we won’t know until we look” not good when I need to drive 6 miles home (my son also uses the car for work as it’s not on a main bus route)
I visited the garage on 2 more occasions asking to speak to a manager only to be informed no manager was available.. how convenient! I’ve have left numerous phone messages which have not been returned and even emailed using the contact form on the website and guess what?!….still no replies!!
I have taken the car to another garage but they are reluctant to look at it as it’s a Honda issue and we shouldn’t have to pay for someone else’s error!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
