How would I know that the amp is defective if I don’t at least inspect it out of the box? This company is a bunch of crooks…. I took my business to us amps instead I will never buy from down4sound again..

"I will never buy from Down4Sound again. I dealt with them over the phone and online to buy an amp for my Harley. I was honest with the salesman—I told him the bike was a work in progress and I wouldn't be installing the amp for a while.
Instead of being professional, the salesman used high-pressure tactics. He told me the used units were 'selling out fast' and I needed to grab one now. He told me the warranty would be 'no problem' even with my delayed install.
It was a total bait-and-switch. Now that I’m ready to install, they are hiding behind the fine print and ignoring the verbal agreement they made just to get my credit card number. They are friendly when they want your money, but they disappear when it’s time to stand behind their word. If you deal with them over the phone, GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING, or better yet, go to a company that actually has an 'A' rating with the BBB instead of an 'F'." I have been installing car audio for over 35 years and this 4 channel Amp I installed only 1 of the channels was working and that one was clipping at volume. I've been fighting with them for 2 years and they do not care about anything bur the initial sale.

Where do I begin?? Is been an Horrible experience dealing with this company. I ordered a silver amp on their site and was shipped a teal colored amp. I contacted them right away and they sent me a return label for the teal amp, Which I shipped back right away. I then asked when would the correct amp be shipped and they said that same day. A Few days go by and the tracking number they had given me, was still showing that carrier was waiting for the package to be drop off. Even though I was told it would be shipped that same day. My guess is that until they receive the returned amp, they won’t ship the correct amp, so they create a shipping label with a tracking number but won’t actually ship it out and instead of telling you that, they lie and keep you waiting and guessing.
A week has gone by and the tracking hasn’t updated. Mind you it has now been 2 weeks since the initial order and getting ready to be a third week. For an amp I could have easily bought at my local audio store. I ended up contacting them again and what they said was that “UPS picked up the package, that day!! but that they never scanned it”. I was told I had to wait 10 business to for UPS system to update before they could do anything. Which, as you can guess made furious… 😤😡 to the point where now I just want to cancel my order and get my money refunded. Unfortunately they said I have to wait another 10 business day before any further action could be taken. All in all it will be almost a month before I can get an amp, that I’m not so sure is worth the headache and could have been bought at my local audio store. Lesson learned avoid this brand and it stores…. 😡

I am a first time buyer from Down4 Sound i just wanted a little help in what amplifier to buy to push a Evl 12' shar sub and the tech told me the sub i had was a evl already and he recommended a amplifier that could probably do the job but his attitude towards me was not nice at all talking to me like I didn't know what I was talking about. I didn't really appreciate that at all. Down4sound is probably a really good company but it can take one person to make the company so ugly......so I decided to shop else where for my needs. Any never recommended nobody to shop at jp's company sorry but best customer service idk........
Expect to wait week just for your items to ship
I placed a $ 1000.00 order 3 days ago. I've contacted them via email. Dayb1. First was to see if they price match. We'll they wanted proof which i had no problem with and they responded right of way. Day 2. The next day I asked how long do I have to wait for my order as it still sitting in " waiting for fulfillment " I was told 1-2 days ,should be out that day. OK no biggie. Day 3. Now is day 3 and it's still sitting in " waiting for fulfillment" no update at all. I dont understand why they lie and say it'll be 1-2 days. Why not just say it'll take a week to just ship your order ,this doesn't count the shipping process which h will be another week. I was very skeptical about this place as I seen mixed reviews but liked how they were. I guess I was completely wrong. Bad customer service guys. Shouldn't have to wait a wk for 2 peices just to be pulled ,packed and shipped.

#15587 That’s my ticket # don’t know the name of the person in warranty. Unfortunately I had to use warranty and it was hassle free. They did what they had to do and responded with a tracking number on the replacement amp. Thank you for making it easy without hassle.

Never had an issue with them except I received a damaged item one time and they promptly replaced it. Their DS4 items are top notch. I will never buy anywhere else. Keep up the good work, JP!!
Amp exploded <60 days, support PAINFULLY SLOW
I ordered a JP234 amp on June 11, 2024; amp exploded less than 2 months later with VERY light use and well within power limits without clipping (150x2 + 180x2, rated for 234x4). It took a week just to get RMA approval. I was told 4-6 weeks for repair upon receiving RMA. It's been 2 months and no update. I emailed office manager a week ago, still waiting for a response. WHY DOES IT TAKE A WEEK to respond to emails? Support is very poor. I did research this company before purchasing and gave benefit of the doubt - now I have regrets! I already purchased another amp because I knew it was going to take forever to get it back based on complaints I've read, and I was right! I won't be purchasing from down4sound again.

I ordered a sub box which comes unassembled, and the directions say to glue and screw the cabinet together. The parts list shoes those items, but they were not included with the kit. I called them and got a snippy woman who just confirmed that they do not come with the kit, no "I'm sorry" or any other help. Lousy customer service and as far as I'm concerned an incomplete item. I'll never shop there again.

I can’t win with Down4SoundShop. 2nd time this happens. Ordered a week ago and didn’t hear back. After 5 days, I asked for an update. Was told my order would ship out Friday at the latest. Received a shipping notification with tracking number so I get excited! This morning I get the email that the products I ordered are no longer in stock, but they show in stock on the website… a whole week to tell me my order isn’t going to be available is crazy… I may not be spending hundreds of thousands, and they’ll probably never miss me, but D4S been nothing but disappointing.

Customer service non existent I guess they make enough doe they don't give a chit! Canceledan order and switch amps was told expect refund 2 to 3 biz days. Fair enough. It now been 10 they don't answer the phone when they do they say we tried to refund your card wont except it. Excuse me that's complete bull. So contested the charge with my credit card. Sure hope their equipment is better than their service. I'm having my doughts now

I bought a sub woofer with built in amp. It took over 3 weeks to get the unit. By then I already bought a better unit from "Crushfield" and had it installed,. They take forever to send the unit. Very slow shipping and order fulfillment. I never opened the box and wanted to return the unit. They took 2 weeks to finally agree to take the unit back. I still have not received my refund. I am calling my credit card company to do a charge back.. they suck use Crushfield.
Trash Customer Service
Purchased a couple of 12s from them, both were damaged. Made me pay shipping to get them fixed, and also made me pay the restocking fee even though I reached out the same day I received them. Customer service sucks, and if you receive a damaged item, it’s not their problem, and don’t expect to get your money back.

If you're wondering if you should give down4sound a try regarding their in house amps, listen to me, DON'T!! A few months ago, I was debating getting their JP 234, four channel amp, and finally took the chance on em.... That was 3 months ago. The amp got installed about 3 weeks after purchasing, and a few days ago, started making so much noise/static, it's unusable! Although I paid extra for a 2 year warranty, I have been told I will have to pay for the repair and shipping both ways to their repair ship in Florida!! These folks are Class A Con Artists!! Stay away!!
