Incredible Wildlife and Exceptional Hospitality
The variety and abundance of wildlife was remarkable and the accommodations were almost dream like. Everything about the booking process was wonderfully detailed and continually built up our excitement leading to a once in a lifetime trip. Standout tour company
We looked into several different travel coordinators to plan our trip to South Africa, and Discover Africa not only had great customer service, but the best prices. We thought the pricing would mean the places weren't as nice as other options, but this was by far the most luxe trip we've ever been on. We had an amazing time visiting Namibia and South Africa. Our 15 day journey was packed with lots of adventure. Everything to accommodations, transportation by ground and air, excursions, dinner and lunches. Our tour guide/ driver NICO was so awesome. He spent 9 days with us and was amazing. Not to forget Megan who helped put our custom package together. Thank you for everything Megan and Nico did for us.

This was our first trip to Africa and it was amazing. We traveled through Namibia for 8 days and then went to Cape Town and Kruger National Park. Everything was well organized and we got to see and learn alot. Our guide was amazing in Namibia as well as the other places. We will definitely be back.

Seamless organization and amazing trip
We had a 10 day trip through South Africa, Victoria Falls, Zambia and Botswana. Dianne Du Plessis did an amazing job organizing this once in a lifetime trip. From eh safari's to excursions, to the hospitality of the people, we come back with a lifetime of memories made along the journey. I would recommend Discover Africa. It was well organized, people were waiting at each port of entry, the hotels were great as well as the camps and the people are lovely at each of these destinations. The only feedback I would have is that it would help to know the travel times between each location change and destination. For example one camp was a flight away but an additional 2 hour drive from the airstrip. But overall an incredible experience and I would highly recommend Discover Africa.

This was our first trip to Africa
This was our first trip to Africa, and it was beyond expectations, both in the varied sites/experiences and in the organization of the trip.
We were part of a group of 21 family & friends. How do you keep this group together and engaged???Meagan managed both. Every stop along the way in Namibia and South Africa, we were met at the airports & hotels, had porter service for our tons of luggage and transportation waiting.
Each day there was something planned, but easy to sit it out if you chose to. The entire group was seated together at meals at each lodge/hotel.
The best part -- all the animals: zebra, giraffe, elephants, lions, kudu, water buck, rhino, hippo, penguins, eagles, hyeana and other other types of birds. I'm sure I missed something, but my husband's photos will remind me.

We did a 14 night Namibia
We did a 14 night Namibia, 2 night Cape Town and then 3 nights in Kruger. This was our second trip we booked with Megan. Megan did a phenomenal job again. We had a group of 21 of family and friends. From the beginning everything was so organized.
We had a large bus that was very comfortable for our trip in Namibia. We did the hot air balloon in one place, climbed the dunes, went quad biking and ride camels in other places.
The hotel we stayed at in Cape Town was in a great location to see everything. Our trip to Table Mountain was very nice and glad we did it the first day since it rained the second day. We still had a great time seeing the penguins and visiting Cape of Good Hope.
Our stay at the Imbali Lodge in Kruger was exceptional. The accommodations, food and game drives were great.
Our group all agreed that people in Namibia and South Africa are some of the nicest people. So very accommodating and just so sweet. We will definitely be back soon!

13 Day Trip of a Lifetime to Cape Town, Sabi Sands, Vic Falls
Our 13 day trip to Cape Town, Mala game reserve near Sabi Sands and Victoria Falls exceeded our expectations. I can't thank Megan Warrington enough for helping us to plan such an amazing African adventure. I appreciated how attentive and responsive she was to my many questions. Megan was extremely professional, had great attention to detail, was well organized and easy to work with. All the details were handled so we could just show up and enjoy our vacation.
We loved the Queen Victoria hotel - luxurious, boutique hotel that was two minutes from the V&A waterfront but still quiet. Africa Eagles did a great job coordinating our activities - with all the pick-ups and tours. Especially enjoyed seeing the Cape of Good Hope and Table Mountain.
The food in Cape Town and at all the places we stayed was 5 star!
Private game reserves are definitely the way to go. Rattrays at Malamala Camp was impressive. The service, food, and accommodations were bar none. Our ranger Reggie was the best- he made sure we got up close to the Big Five. I swear he parked on top of the animals, we got so close.
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe was truly impressive and breath-taking. There are so many fun activities in Vic Falls - zip lines, gorge swing, river safaris. I could not decide between The Old Drift Lodge and The Elephant Camp. Megan suggested we stay at both locations and I'm so glad we did. At the Old Drift Lodge, the views of the Zambezi river were stunning. I loved the river safaris, service and food here. We saw lots of hippos and crocodiles. We thought the rooms were better at the Elephant Camp which had stunning views of Batoka Gorge. We loved the elephant experience - being able to pet and feed the elephants.
It was truly a trip of a lifetime!

Excellent guidance, planning and support
Susan Veldman helped us to design our journey round 4 different locations in Zambia. Her expert advice on the sequencing of where to go was spot on. She helped us choose Green Safari Lodges for three locations (Livingstone, Kafue National Park, South Luangwa), and Time and Tide for the final lodge in Lower Zambezi. All were excellent - accomodation, staff teams, guides & game drives. Transport was seamless between locations, there was someone to meet us and guide us at every step. Trip of a Lifetime in Zimbabwe
Thanks to the assistance and patience of Antoinette Van Heerden of Discover Africa, our trip to Zimbabwe was an incredible experience. She listened to our desires and provided alternatives to make this trip of a lifetime. We wanted a luxury bush experience to view as many animals as possible and got our wish.
We had a fabulous time and each experience was unbelievable. They called us the lucky couple at The Hide because beginning with our arrival we had sightings that many do not get. Our guide, Theo, tracked us in about 2 miles for an up close cheetah sighting. We were up close, just a few feet, to grown lion brothers that were playing like kittens and magnificent. We followed a lion pride of 10 to a feeding of an already killed baby elephant. WOW Got to see Sable just to name a few.
Changa was different and wonderful. The hippos, elephants, zebras, warthogs and crocodiles were a sight to see. Our guide, Kenny, was super and full of life. We encountered a lion pride of 10 and after stopping the 4x4 they proceeded to lay in the shade right below so very up close and personal. Crazy excitement!!
Victoria Falls is wonderful for sure. Nature is amazing. We had a guided tour of the falls with Jabu as well as a cultural tour to a village and school. We were so enamored by the children and donated to the school telling them to stay in school and get an education. We took lots of staples to the village to share and they were so thankful. The not quite 3 year old grandson grabbed the big bag of biscuits and started to dance. Adorable
The food was 5 star + everywhere. The chefs are remarkable and presentation second to none. We never had a bad meal for sure.
Africa is an amazing place and Zimbabwe is remarkable. The people are happy and ever so friendly. We made many friends and will stay in touch. We left a part of us there for sure never to forget any moment. The bush can't be described, you have to experience it first hand.

10 day Botswana and Victoria Falls trip
Discover Africa planned our 10 day trip across Botswana and Zimbabwe. From the very first call, Vihann at Discover Africa was hugely knowledgeable and communicative and understood our brief perfectly. Vihann was quick to send us a first itinerary and responsive to any comments we had to help us create the perfect trip. In the run up to the trip, Vihann remained on hand for any questions. During the trip itself, the organisation was seamless and the lodges that Vihann had chosen were exactly what we were looking for - relaxed luxury, close to nature and small-scale. Planning our trip with Discover Africa was a great experience, which I would highly recommend!

Trip of a lifetime - later in life!
This was a trip of a lifetime, beginning with seeing a leopard right off after pick up at the Seronera airstrip in Kenya! We used Elewana properties for an 8 night stay, 3 in Kenya (Sand River camp), 4 in Tanzania (Elewana Pioneer Camp) and 1 night near Ngorogoro Crater at the Manor. 5-star service at all these properties. Susan Susan Veldman's attention to detail in what I considered a bit complicated itinerary was spot on. From the time we were picked up at the first airstrip, I knew we were in good hands. The seamless transfers were appreciated---I have some anxiety over a trip this complicated and I never suffered any angst during the entire 9 days! Wonderful itinerary planned for us and I just wish we could do it again soon! Don't hesitate to book with Discover Africa!

Cape Town to Vic falls to Sabi sands
The entire experience was incredible! Susan Swanepoel was a very responsive agent who helped plan everything seamlessly from Cape Town to Vic Falls to Sabi Sands. Stayed at Sabi Sabi bush lodge. Spotted big 5 at least twice over in a 4 night stay with 6 drives. I would highly recommend Discover Africa, Susan and the entire trip!
