Under no circumstances buy anything from this company. They're a bankrupt business and in administration. It beggars believe that they're allowed to still take orders from people with no intention of ever delivering your goods. They're a completely corrupt business who shouldn't be able to continue to trade. These charlatans think that they'll get away with ripping people off and taking money from unsuspecting customers with no intention of delivering the goods. I've had nothing but problems from the word go with this company. The guitar I ordered started to fall apart the day after it was delivered and it'll have to be sent to a specialist who can repair it. But then you wouldn't expect a brand new £500 guitar to be sent out faulty. The remainder of my order as yet to be delivered and the customer service is none existent. I've tried calling the customer service number on countless occasions and they never answered the phone even once. I've sent emails outlining my grievances and problems but I just get a standard reply saying that my email has been noted and someone will be in touch. I'm still waiting! I can bide my time and I'll get my money back one way or another. You just have to look at all these reviews for this company and you can see that the overwhelming majority have been ripped off by these people.

I was told to pay for the return postage myself and they would refund that too... Guess what it hasn't been refunded... Guitar been refunded but looks like I've paid for the postage.. Despite the promise that would be refunded.. What a joke...
Don't bother; you won't get your item and you'll have to push for a refund
Ordered for my work (teaching and acquiring musical instruments across multiple supported accommodations for the local authority) with the hope that I could make many more orders through them as they are usually a bit cheaper than their competitors for brand new instruments. However, there is no amount of discount that is worth the service. My items were expected within 10 days, though despite e-mails and calls it took over a month for them to actually contact me to say that they still had no idea how long it would take to arrive as there was a "problem with the supplier" (which seems to be a common phrase amongst other reviews), even though it was in stock on their website.
To add to this, they charged me on the day they finally responded to my e-mail, which frankly leads me to assume the order hadn't even been completed until my complaint. They did this despite the e-mail giving me the option to cancel, which I did. However this meant that it took until I messaged them two weeks later to ask where my refund was for them to even put the refund through.
According to the e-mail they only have two staff working at present. They either need to scale right down or hire more staff as they clearly aren't fit to distribute online at present, and they will never get service from myself or the local authority based on the inept way this has been handled. I could understand if they at least kept me in the loop, but the additional hassle it took just to get a response added additional work so I am completely done with regards to using their services again.

Absolute ridiculous company. Already late by a few weeks and can't get hold of anyone. Won't reply to emails, do not use these save yourself the agg and hassle. The worst company I've ever used.
AVOID no stars if possible
If only I had read these latest reviews, before I asked my dad to buy me a double bass pedal. They said they would have it in, within 10 days, heard nothing, contacted them again, they have no idea when it's coming. My dad asked for refund, Holly I think her name was said you would have refund within 3 days, another lie, Never got it, never replied, PayPal as now got involved, but still have to wait. AVOID at all costs unless you buy from the shop.

I not recommend to purchase from them anything. The reason if you have faulty item during warranty they are not interesting to resolve the problems on time. Many times I email them but they not reply and call them unfortunately they not response (only voice mail but same is full) so not have chance to do anything. They even not confirmed that they received my keyboard as they request me to post and more one month is gone I not heard from them anything. I sent the keyboard to they shop to fixing my keyboard on on August 2021 today is 24 /09.
I will be not purchase from them anything.

purchased a set of wireless microphones for use with our dj set up was not a cheap set but the power pack gave up 6 months after purchase (12 month g/tee) was told they had one in store no they did not customer service said they will post one out never arrived so had to turn to another supplier who gave us one free of charge because we also purchased a new amp and a pioneer ddjflx6 deck also a flight case and many other bits we replaced...
So AVOID as they don't care once they have your money..

Update: I continued to ring and eventually got through to somebody only to be told by the lady in customer services that "the part of the company that had taken my money had gone into liquidation, hence why they hadnt refunded me or sent the item. Although apparently the company was still "very much alive and kicking" but the company couldnt refund or produce the items for me as it was a seperate part" 🙄
I was then advised by the CS lady to claim it back through my bank rather than trying to persue it through them as it would be easier! Thankfully my bank refunded my money.

I ordered in July a starter kit for an encore e6 electric guitar for my sons birthday in Aug and was advised it was in stock. I waited and rang the company a couple of times to see what was happening and given empty promises of being called back with answers. I emailed and evenutally someone responded with "there was a delay from supplier" I rang again and was advised they had received stock and it would be sent out. The monies were taken from my account towards the last week of August but still no guitar so re emailed as it was classed as in stock and delivered within 12 days of new purchases on their website. I was advised they had taken the money to keep my order open but had no clue whatsoever of when I would get my item. As my sons lessons were starting in Sept I purchased a guitar and amp etc from a local shop and asked for my order to be cancelled and refund my monies. This was at the beginning of September and this was confirmed by Holly in cs it would be done... 21st sept still waiting for a my refund and b a response to my last email!
Unbelievably bad, do not use
Unbelievably bad, ordered a guitar case which was faulty on arrival, sent that one back and ordered a replacement. The replacement arrived wrapped in bin liners and was damaged in transit because of the poor packaging so this was also returned. Over a month and a half later, I have not received a refund for either case; customer services do not respond. I am now pursuing a refund through the payment provider and am hundreds of pounds down.

Having a terrible experience with Dawsons. I ordered an item online when their website said it was in stock... it wasn't. I was told it would be back in stock in a month and then they would deliver. The month came and went... then advised the item wouldn't be available so I cancelled the order and asked for a refund which they agreed to. Still waiting for a refund after nearly another month. No response to my emails and when I phone I get a message saying 'mailbox full try again later'. I have taken it up with my Credit Card company in the hope that I can get a refund that way. What a terrible service... will never buy anything from them again.

Made a purchase of a dd 75 drum machine. Item showed in stock and a 2 day delivery/dispatch. A week later it still had not changed from preparing and so I emailed inquiring of progress. A week later still I receive a response basically telling me they have no idea when it will ship and do I wish to cancel. I understand it's hard times at the moment with what's happening but this was ordered after the end of lockdown, no other company has been this uncommunicative, even at the lockdown's height. Said I'd like to keep the order, and can they confirm it's still in the process of being ordered as their reply made it sound like my simple inquiry had put that in doubt. 2 weeks since asking for that reply and still not the decency to answer. So after over 3 weeks from my initial order, which stated in stock and a 2 day dispatch/delivery, I've cancelled. Funny enough that must have been acknowledged as it was cancelled within a few hours, yet one reply a week after my first email inquiring if there was a problem and no other inquiries bothered to be answered after several more weeks. The worst online purchase experience I've ever had. Truthfully. Bar being swore at or accosted I couldn't think of a worse purchasing experience. And no, I don't believe covid causes a company to not bother replying/updating someone's concerns, especially after weeks, none of the other many dozen companies I've used online during this crisis have had such problems/excuses. Avoid.

Tried emailing Dawson's twice regarding a guitar enquiry and called twice on separate days but message stated, the person's mailbox is full and can't take your call. Customer service is appalling.

Poor customer service. Placed order for item "in stock" which wasn't only found this out after much chasing. Was promised I would receive item within a couple of weeks this wasn't true. Funds were taken out of my account even though they hadn't received item from supplier. Eventually gave up & canceled the order as I was fed up with constantly chasing to find out the status of my order. It has taken much chasing and over two weeks to finally get my money back. I wouldn't recommend this company as they don't seem to know what they are doing which is a great shame. Placed an order with another supplier & received my order within a week for less than £4 more. A lesson learnt.
