Bought a 2.3k electric bike from Cycles UK Greenwich store. After two weeks wait I go get my bike. As soon as I get home I realise the Bosch electric battery in the bike is broken. I immediately contact the store and explain the situation with added pictures. I also explain the electric bike is a very needed object for us as we do not have a car and depend on it to drive our kids here and there. I also explain I have a second battery available for this bike (from previous ebike). The shop insists on me bringing the whole bike back and leaving it with them instead of just bringing the broken battery (the bike itself is absolutely fine). This would mean for me, finding the time, climbing the 126 stairs of Greenwich tunnel with a 25 kg bike (elevators still broken) and living with my bike for some time. Just because of the dogmatic attitude of this shop. All of this could be avoided if they just accepted to be slightly customer centric and have a look at the battery.

Very poor customer service with online orders also very slow.

Website was easy to order from at competitive prices for the mtb parts I wanted.
Kept updated on the delivery status which arrived on time and arrived in good condition.

Husband ordered a birthday gift for our 11 year old son online and contacted cycles uk after the delivery date had passed and the order had not arrived. He was advised that the item was no longer in stock (despite showing in stock at the time of ordering) and then to add to our frustrations, advised we would have to WAIT for a refund! How long would this have gone unacknowledged if we hadn’t chased?

Ordered a tyre online shown as in stock Order acknowledged. 10 days later I chased by phone. No answer but left message. 12 days later received an email saying that the tyre was unavailable and they will refund my money in 4 days. Not the level of service I expect from a competent online retailer.

Worked OK, delivery bit late but email explained why

I bought a pair of shorts online. What a mistake. Simple transaction and I am still waiting for a next steps chat. They sent the pads only no shorts. I called and no one answers, customer care, online sakes, shop. I finally get through to the workshop nice guy who promised to get someone to reach out. Someone did. Asked whether i wanted a refund or alternative as the shorts have been discontinued. I went back straight away. No response. I'm back calling every number and pressing all the options leaving message after message without a reply. I just want my money back as my experience with Cycles UK tells me I am not alone. Terrible customer service. Just terrible

I ordered a bike through the Cycle to Work scheme, and while placing the order using the certificate and codes was straightforward, the experience quickly went downhill.

I received an order confirmation, but after 10 days of silence, I had to chase for an update. Eventually, I managed to speak to someone who informed me that I needed to email the Cycle to Work certificate—something that was never mentioned during the ordering process.

Since then, I’ve sent the required email but received no response. I’ve called multiple times, often reaching voicemail across four different extensions. On the few occasions I did speak to someone, I was assured the issue would be progressed, but I’ve heard nothing back.

Overall, the customer service has been extremely poor—unresponsive, disorganized, and frustrating. I expected a much smoother process and better communication.
