Still waiting onBen from Currys TrustPilot team contacting me after my previous post ref order 744365141.

"Ben" replied giving direction to quote CUR76774 in an email to contactsocialcurrys.co.uk

I have done this multiple times since last Saturday and have had zero reply.

I have updated that oroginal post with zero reply from "Ben".

For context:

Currys Newtonabbey sent out a pair of delivery drivers with our dishwasher (order 7444365141) on Sat 17 OCtober 2026.

We paid for installation but the delivery drivers refused and the left our home in a "damger to life" situation by leaving an electrical cable completely severed and not isolated and also left our sink waste pipe disconnected that is adjacent to the exposed electric cable.

This negligence can allow for an escape of water to then contact with the exposed electrical cable.

The store in Newtonabbeys duty manager called Mark told us to "just make sure you dont turn on the swith that supplies power to the severed cable"

Health and safety excecutive were contaced.

Repeated emails were then sent to the store manager and a man called Cameron from the KnowHow resolution team in Northern Ireland

This has resulted in Cameron now ignoring my emails after his offer of £200 was flatly refused.

I was given assurance from "Ben" that i would be contacted....

I havent had any follow up email or telephone call from "Ben".

Durimg my call on Wednesday with Cameron, he has confirmed via email hat he has since "escalated this to the tesolution team".

Ive not had any further contact from Cameron or tje escalation team that he said he has now escalated this to since Wednesday 21 October.

Ive not had any contact from "Ben" since he posted his reply to my original trust pilot review either.

I look.forward to seeing what "robot reply" this re iew now get.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Dear Currys,

I am leaving this review as a formal complaint regarding the purchase of a faulty mobile phone from one of your stores on 24 July 2026. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this matter, I have been repeatedly denied a refund or replacement, and my concerns have not been addressed appropriately. I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I have received and the way this situation has been handled.

For clarity, I have outlined the events below.

1. Initial return attempt – July 2026

I purchased a mobile phone in store on 24 July 2026. Approximately one week later, I returned to the store to request a return because the phone was faulty and was not functioning properly.

The staff initially refused to accept the return. I explained that the phone was malfunctioning, but they insisted that they would need to carry out tests and instructed me to return the following day.

When I returned, I was informed that they could not identify any faults and that I would not be permitted to return the phone. However, the phone continued to malfunction, and I was unable to use it reliably. Currys needs to investigate why my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 had been breached

The thing that made the experience better was the guy who helped me and my son pick a pc,mouse and monitor for Christmas.The staff who helped me was super helpful and my son wanted a specific pc and the staff that helped us said to us the oc isn't available in store yet and he changed my autistic sons mind and I can't even do that,I really appreciate the help the staff that helped me.

Hello, all the staff that work in Currys are on minimum wage so you buying a £149 fridge won't put a £75 bonus in their pocket , if you spend £1000 they might get a quid and I mean might. So don't cry about staff when the first words out of your gob was I want ! A please or thank you never killed anyone and remember Buy cheap buy twice.

I more or less knew what I wanted with no fuss and the assistant who served us was very helpful giving solid advice

Colleen in Newtownabbey store was fantastic, really helpful and knowledgeable about the stores products and procedures. Made our purchase very efficient and enjoyable. Will definitely be back!

The member of staff I dealt with was helpful and efficient, got me sorted with a minimum of fuss.

From I ordered my Item I was Kept informed by email and text when to expect delivery to store. It actually arrived a few days early which was great. Great item and a great price.

Very happy, bought a washing machine, it was delivered and the old one taken away. The whole experience was efficient and customer friendly. Well done Currys x
