I have been an automotive technician in my earlier employment years...I know best industry practices and talented technicians when I see them. I have been a business owner and corporate manager in my past...I recognize a healthy business environment when I see it. The Beaverton Cottman facility is all of the above and more. Mitch, the owner for the past 20 years, carefully researched the business model he wanted before choosing to utilize the Cottman model. His entry to the automotive service industry was from a business background, rather than that of a former line mechanic....then he hired and retained talented service technicians to staff his business and perform the services represented by his business. My RV blew the transmission while I was away from home in the Portland area....reading online reviews led to a short list of transmission repair facilities within easy limping distance. 2 primary factors put Cottman Beaverton to the top of the list....they had all the positive earmarks of a locally owned, family run, long-term business AND they had the full support of a national business footprint with follow-on service facilities throughout the continental US. Their initial estimates for anticipated time and cost were realistic and fully transparent with a good explanation of all included efforts and expenses...and on completion of the work there were no unexpected surprises. The time required from starting work to completion was exactly as initially stated, and the final cost was well within the lower half of the initial range of costs originally quoted prior to presenting my vehicle for repair. If there were more stars available for this review I would give them as well.

I've used Cottman twice now for repairs on my 2004 Toyota Camry and I am so happy with their work that I will continue to refer everyone I know to them. I've never had any issues with the repairs or the cost I'm charged. They are extremely fair.

Fast friendly service $500 less then Beaverton Toyota, Toyota parts so they say. Done work for me and my son before, good people good place....

I would recommend Cottman of Beaverton. I have a 12 year old suv, they do the service I ask for at a fair price that was quoted upfront. They are very good about explaining what you are getting for that price. Car is done in a timely manner.

My experience is such that the approach to my autos needs are presented in a clear, no nonsense manner, that helps me feel that I am not being cheated or taken advantage of. I recommended Cottman to many of my friends and contacts. When I leave their place of business I feel good.

I've used Cottmans several times and each time they are quick to respond and easy to work with. Pricing is fair and I've never had to return for something that didn't get done.

During a routine trans flush they pointed out a mistake I made replacing my water pump the week earlier.. Saved me a huge headache!!!

Problem has identified by technician correctly that one of the break hose has a leak. The solution (replacing only one hose) is not correct. I had same issue repeated after 6 months again and went to other place for repair. LesSchwab suggested me to replace both hose at a time even though the leak is on one of the hose. I went ahead with replacing both hose at a time. I could see the difference in smoothness second time. Especially at steering wheel tilt.

We like to take our car to Cottman on Baseline because people are nice and they do a good job at a good price. It's close to the house; we sometimes leave the car until the next day. They clearly explain what repairs the car needs or what went wrong and provide detailed estimates of the work that needs to be done. They make it easy to shop local. We like that.

Had my transmission and transfer case serviced and after recently draining the transfer case myself found the fluid to be burned badly, in less than the 10k miles, this was due to either the improper fluids being used, or simply not changed at all. Would not recommend using this shop, even if I narrowly avoided serious damage to the transfer case. It was no thanks to Cottman.

As a person in the automotive parts business I have had a lot of experience over the years with the good, the bad and the ugly in the automotive repair field.
Take it from a parts guy, these folks will not steer you wrong. (pun intended)

Ease of getting appointment and layman information keeps me coming back.

They did an excellent job on my truck. I had a intermittent problem that only occurred on hot days. They were able to repair the vehicle & stayed within quote given after diagnosis. Truck drives great now and the updates they recommended made it better than ever
