Pre-qualifying interest rates are just a company "guess"!
We are cosigners for our son, pre-qualifying rates given to us were 3% - 6% interest, so we continued with the application and the result came back with 11% interest instead. We have a very high Credit Score, this did not make sense! Having spoken to two company representatives (one being a complaints representative) they are unapologetic about their approach to give false interest rates at the point of pre-qualifying. Feedback from the the complaints representative was that the pre-qualifying quotes given to cosigners is a "guess". Maybe its our naivety as first time cosigners or maybe College Ave just need to give a more accurate initial quote rather than an uneducated guess! Regardless not impressed....

Everyone was pleasant, but the process took too long, and I had to keep repeating it even though I was not a new borrower. The options for fixed or variable rates also felt unfair. How are we supposed to know which is better? Ultimately, I understand that I will have to pay the interest rate.

High interest rates
Ease of access to funds was very good. Interest rates offered are terrible. I got a loan for one of my daughters 6 months ago at around 9%. One month ago I got another loan for my other daughter at over 12%. I have a credit score over 800. No sense
