Beautiful Front Door with Two Side Panels = Posh is what it is!
Just had our Stunning front door and panels in sage fitted to our large porch. Builder Paul came and dug out and built up the small wall as we will be raising the front step, before Jack and Dave fitted the door and side panels, the following day. All the work was done in the most horrendous hot temperatures too! All lads were polite, friendly and very good at their jobs! We love the look of the door and as Jack said they look very posh….they are the best thing about our ugly 1970s bungalow lol! We are having the guys back to do the internal glass door too! Many thanks Coastal from Liz and Adam Townley

Today Simon and Callum fitted 2 new windows and a door which had been in since bungalow was built about 32yrs ago ,what a first class job they have done Charlie said I wouldn’t know they had been, have to correct him it looks 10 times better than before they started so pleased I would definitely recommend them.
Awful experience from the very…
Awful experience from the very beginning.
A relatively small conservatory installed in December 2025 was not actually completed until June 2026 — an unacceptable delay for a job of this size.
Major issues throughout:
Badly fitted box gutter — persistent leaks and poor installation standards.
Multiple rebuilds — one full rebuild plus several partial rebuilds were needed due to ongoing faults and repairs undertaken to the damage caused.
Instructions ignored — I clearly stated that my original French doors must still open back against the outside wall. This was ignored. A rushed “quick fix” left the doors unfit for purpose, and they ultimately had to be replaced.
Fitters under unreasonable pressure — the fitters themselves did their utmost to resolve the issues, but it was obvious they were under constant pressure to finish quickly, even working in the dark at times. This only contributed to further mistakes and poor outcomes.
No accountability — I repeatedly requested before‑and‑after photos during remedial work. These were promised but never provided.
Overall
This job was mismanaged, poorly executed, and dragged out by a company that relied on shortcuts instead of solutions. The fitters tried, but the organisation behind them failed at every stage. Based on my experience, I would advise others to look elsewhere.
Advice for Potential Customers
Get everything in writing — including timelines, specifications. Verbal assurances mean nothing when problems start.
Insist on proper solutions, not quick fixes — if a company starts patching instead of repairing, stop the job immediately. Quick fixes only delay the inevitable and create bigger issues later.
Check the fitters’ working conditions — if workers are being rushed, pressured, or made to work in poor lighting, the quality will suffer. Don’t accept it.
Document everything — take photos, keep emails, and record dates. If you request before‑and‑after photos, make sure you receive them before paying anything further.
Confirm that your instructions will be followed — especially for functional elements like door openings. Get these written into the sales agreement before signing
Advice for the Company
Stop relying on quick fixes — temporary patches only prolong problems and damage your reputation. Address root causes properly the first time.
Respect customer instructions — when a customer specifies how something must function (e.g., door opening direction), it must be followed without exception.
Improve project management — a small conservatory should never take six months. Better planning and accountability are essential.
Support your fitters — they were clearly doing their best under unreasonable pressure. Quality work requires time, daylight, and proper oversight.
Provide promised documentation — if you promise before‑and‑after photos, deliver them. It’s basic professionalism and protects both parties.

At approx 1.30pm on 11th June 2026 an employee of the company gained access to our private road (just 8 houses) and proceeded to canvas the properties without any invitation to enter the private grounds. When challenged he initially said he had pressed address 3 on the gate controls, then changed it to address 2 (my own house). He called at House 8 and spoke to the owners and left brochures in the letterboxes of other houses. A nuisance and uninvited intrusion on our privacy.
I reported this to Coastal on Monday 15th June and a "manager" was due to call me back. This did not happen
Would highly recommend
Easy process from start to finish and Jack and Elliott did a fantastic job at installing the new door. Very friendly and efficient service, with outstanding quality. Would highly recommend

Windows and doors
Wow, so pleased with our installation of a door ,French doors and six windows. We were so pleased with the workmanship and attention to detail by Antony and Dan that we booked to have our Frenchdoors and side windows done on a second visit. Phil arrived and gave us a competitive quote and also took care of booking us back in with Antony who we asked for and a date for the job to be done. He was lovely to deal with, friendly and professional. The whole thing was very relaxed and not at all pushy. This is our 5th time of booking Coastal Windows , the quality of the product ,the workmanship and attention to detail by Antony and the team are amazing.Highly recommend this company
Windows upgrade to a Victorian Gate House
Coastal Windows recently replaced 22 windows in our Victorian gate house in Somerset with upvc double glazing with acoustic glass and this made a significant improvement to the sound and thermal insulation in our home. Previously there had been 150 year old metal framed windows and these were skilfully removed and the new windows fitted within the existing mullions and the secondary glazing. This work was efficiently carried out by an excellent team of skilled workers from Coastal Windows. Jack, Dan & Anthony at all stages of this process went to great efforts to minimise the intrusion and at the end of every day tidied up and scrupulously removed all debris. I can without hesitation recommend this ace team of installers to carry out a really professional installation. The completed work was impressive and skilfully fitted to the existing windows.
Outstanding service.
The second time we have used coastal windows simply because they were so good the first time. Professional, polite and tremendous service. I would highly recommend.

Joined up thinking a key issue
The actual process of construction despite some issues was reasonably good. Builders and fitters were both tidy and considerate.
The process of selling was straightforward but when we asked about planning permission we were told it wasn't needed. This proved not to be the case. A £2000 deposit locked us into the process but then issues started.
The surveyor who came round seemed more interested in snooping around our house than actually surveying the area where the extension was to be built. He was both patronising to my wife and made her uncomfortable in her own home. Fortunately for him I was not present as she found that experience traumatic - which then revealed that we DID need planning permission. The salesman's original estimate that the extension would be completed by May was at best optimistic.
At this time my wife was contacted by Head Office to ask us for feedback on "our experience" which we could not give - it being mid-summer by now because construction hadn't been started. The various wings of the company did not seem to know what each were doing. Eventually Charlie from the office came round to talk about an estimated start - this was to be November after planning permission was given in September. Our patience had run out however and an October start agreed. The original plan seemed fine and we waited for the 2-3 week construction process to start.
Day one revealed a manhole underneath the original plan which we were unaware of. The builders were adaptable as was Charlie in producing an adjusted plan to allow access to that manhole. The new manhole and soakaway pipe were installed and Lewis the builder did a good job - the lawn is starting to recover now.
I have to say that the additional bill for this was annoying but needs must we felt - I could have done without the office's intervention that seemed to be putting the blame on that squarely on us - no doubt pressuring us to stick to the payment schedule. This we have done but the office's comments at best were unhelpful.
Fitting went fine (sorry did not know the fitters names) and Charlie inspected the works which seem to confirm that the finished article is of a quality standard. I will be following and passing on any guarantee details as and when.
The mending of a dislodged drain pipe I look forward to. This sounds like a mixed review - the process was fine but the time it took to complete was too long. I also think some more joined up thinking would be of benefit to future clients.

Excellent service from coastal windows & the service engineer Pete thankyou Martin.
Very happy with the service
We had all our windows and back door replaced. Simon and Tyler did a great job and cleared up any mess. They were careful to keep the house clean despite doing the work in torrential rain. Simon spotted a scratch on a small window in the spare bedroom and ordered a replacement. Service engineer Pete replaced the window and fixed one of the key locks that was faulty. Very happy
